An 8 inch banana cake will cost you N5,000 without frosting or glaze. A 10 inch will cost you N6,000 etc. let me know what you want and when you want it. Thanksssss @ GeorgeD, I'm warming up too o! Place your order early ooo! Take care |
Who is the poster who mentioned child's play? Unless u are talking about the Chucky version, this isn't any form of child's play! This boy is among the calibre that will carr gun one day and burst into school and shoot every moving thing. If I was the mother, I would sue the daycare and the boy's parents. Chai! I wish I could get hold of that boy! I would drop kick him too so he knows exactly how it feels. Are they his mates? Gangster in the making! |

Here u go: Ingredients: 4 cups Confectioners' Sugar, sifted (reserve 1 cup for later) 1 Tablespoon Gum Tragacanth (or Gum Tex) 1 Tablespoon Liquid Glucose 1 Packet Knox Gelatin 4 Tablespoons Warm Water Steps: Pour the water (or water and lemon juice) in a large bowl and add gelatin slowly. Stir until gelatin is dissolved in the water. Stir in glucose slowly. You may need to microwave 20-30 seconds or heat on the stove with a double-boiler to get glucose to melt. Add 3 cups of confectioners' sugar (also known as powdered suger) and gum tragacanth. Mix well. I use a mixer with dough hook. You'll end up with a soft, sticky dough. Knead in the remaining 1 cup of powdered sugar and it will become soft and pliable - no longer sticky. If you are using another brand of gelatine, not knox, u would use 2 1/2 tsp. I always use my gumpaste right away |
@George, lol! No o, I didn't. Just took off time to travel for some training. You can reach me on Glo. Do you still have it? Let me know. @Geminilove, I only teach people how to make flowers of all types for now. I'm fully focused on gumpaste flowers. |
Cake with lots of gumpaste characters. Cake board covered in fondant tiles. Cake is chocolate and vanilla with chocolate ganache.

Hiiiii everyone. I'm freaking out!!! When I decided to take charge of my weight, I was 122kg. I did the master cleanse to lose water weight and I went down to 117kg in 8 days. That was before I started journalling my food intake. Today is day 13 and I decided to weigh in. Im @ 112kg!!! I'm feeling very good, no cravings for my usual coke and sharwarmas. Also, Im noticing more cervical mucus (have always had a dryness problem) I'm dancing, I don't regret minimising my carb intake. Now that I know it's really working for me, I'm adding exercise. Today's log Morning-2 spoons of beans and 1 chicken thigh Snack- egg salad (1 cup of cabbage, 2tbsps of mayonnaise and 1 teaspoon of mustard, 1 boiled egg) Lunch- 1 rosemary roasted turkey wing I did 100 flutter kicks and 20 jumping jacks. When I need more carbs in my diet, I get it from apples, carrots and green beans. I know I'm losing this much weight because I have more kgs to lose, but I'm loving it!!! Also started to see a dietician on Tuesday so he can monitor my cholesterol and bp on this diet. But he says as long as I eat good fat, and not stuff like butter, cheese, etc, I don't have to worry. He suggested I increase my calories though which is why I'm eating more meat. You can research it, it's called the Ketogenic Diet (the Atkins diet is a form of Ketogenesis, but is regarded as extreme because of the high fat intake) u can do the basic diet, I'm a testimony to the fact that it works! |
@Udoka, thanx a lot for the encouragement. The problem is, I want to fast track my weight loss for the first 10kg. After that, I intend to settle down to portion control then lose the remaining weight gradually. I've had a life time of sharwarmas and burgers and pork, etc, so I figure I can make a little sacrifice now Today Breakfast-nothing Lunch-Okro and Ugwu without oil. No meat I'm going to get hobnobs too. I actually forgot they existed! |
I caved in yesterday and ate rice jare! Yesterday's Log Breakfast-nothing Lunch-2 tbsps of Hot Jollof Rice! 2 pcs of oven roasted chicken Dinner-1 pc of oven roasted chicken, 1 cup of cubed paw paw, 1 garden egg Will post today's log later. @Shiloh and Slimphemmie, I wish I could dash you guys 20kg each! @Udoka, good job, you are closer to your goal...I wish I had just 15kg to go! Meanwhile, pls what's the name of the oatmeal biscuits you eat? |
Hi everyone! @Rocksqueen, in fact eh, the remix doesn't have part 2! Here goes sha: Yesterday: Breakfast-nil Lunch-1 cup of cubed pawpaw Dinner-1 vegetable omelette (made with 2 egg whites, 1 full egg, mushrooms, cabbage and green beans) 1/2 cup of fresh pineapple juice (diluted with 1/2 cup of water) Today: Breakfast-one glass of lemon, water and honey 1 cup of cubed pawpaw Lunch-1 veg omelette Snack-1 mango and 1 garden egg . I can't believe I'm sticking to this o! But I've found that I've actually slept better for the past 2 days. I used to go to bed by like 2 am and wake up by 6.30am, but, for the past 2 days, I have gone to bed by like 11pm and woken up by 7.30am.My goal is UK size 12 by Octobet 22(my birthday) , I'm a UK size 20 nowAs for exercise, I bought a dvd, it's called 'I want that body' by Tamilee, I did only 5 squats yesterday morning and I'm still feeling the pain!!! So I'm thinking I'll just walk mornings and evenings. Goodluck to everyone of us, not only with our weight (or lack of it), but with our BFPs! May they all be sticky!!! |
Today is day 4 for me Breakfast-Nothing (fast) Lunch (3pm)- 1/4 of a watermelon, 3 garden eggs. Dinner (6pm) -beans and greens Snack after dinner - 1/4 watermelon Won't it be wonderful if we woke up tomorrow and are at our perfect weight #wishfulthinking! Pls does anyone know a zero calorie alternative to water? I'll still dring water, but too much water gives me a headache. |
Hello Ladies, I hope it's not too late to join o! Been ttc #1 for 2 years now, have had 3 mcs and I'm finally telling myself the truth-I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT!!! I'm 5'7 and I weigh 117kg. My target weight is 70 kg so I need to lose 47 kg! I've started a vegetable and fruit diet, been on it for 3 days now. It's not a drastic diet, I eat all the greens I want, plenty watermelon and plenty garden eggs. I've been peeing like mad, but I'm glad I found this thread. Now I'm encouraged to add beans to it. As for exercise em, em, em...we'll talk about that later.Baby dust to all of us, and congratulations in advance |
God has been good. I started my first job in year 3 of Uni. Had to quit to go to law school, then service. POP was on the 14th of Feb and I started my post NYSC job on the 18th of Feb, just left it to go into biz for myself, a decision I wish I had taken back then. @OP and others, I know it's not easy starting biz for yourself, but it can be done. Pls do not lose hope and time waiting 2 years for a job. I thought my job paid well, but when I started baking, I realised what I had been missing. And it isn't too capital intensive. Infact, I bake from home! Even if ur ultimate dream is a white collar job, u can start something while u wait. |
You don't have to go to shoprite. Go into any 'correct' pharmacy. I use only tampons, have for like 12 years. I don't have any problems finding them. If you live in Abuja and what to get them at wholesale prices, go to the wholesale area of Wuse market. |
I found it @ Shoprite(Palms) 2 years ago. When I was through, I looked again but they were out of stock so I ordered from the US with other stuff. U can check to see if it's back in stock |
Na wa o! I'm tired of this illuminati story Abeg. So now anybody wey over hammer don turn illuminati? Jeeeeeeez! @Chuck and Mentcee, I thought about that, but it's actually not 2 hard to tailor his flow...kudos D'banj! |
MP007: Your friend should blame her self for not knowing this very important detail. Who dates an individual to the extent of getting married to him/her without talking about education, field of study and course work. what were you two discussing during your courtship??My dear, don't say that o. When human beings don't want u to find something out about them, it's really hard. Case in point: a very good friend of mine met this guy who is based in Port-Harcourt and they started dating. They dated for 3 years, during which she would often visit him in PH. He told her he works with Dangote and his house was full of Dangote stuff (notepads, pens, calendars), u know stuff that would be normal for an employee to have. He would leave her at home and go to 'work', oftentimes coming home with cartons of Dangote noodles, sugar etc. Of course she believed him and when she wanted to bring him a birthday cake to his office, he said unofficial visitors are not welcome there(very probable). So she relaxed and they got married. The first warning sign, to her, was that at their wedding, she didn't notice any staff from Dangote (when it was time to take pictures). 2 months into the marriage, she noticed he had stopped going to the office regularly. When she took him up on it, he laughed and walked away. To cut a very very very long story short, it turns out that he never worked at Dangote, it was a friend of his who did, and he the office he used to go to everyday was the friend's house where he would go and watch movies all day and when it was time to come home, he would help himself to his friend's stuff(which actually caused the problem that exposed him). She also found out that his elder brother who isn't in Nigeria was practically fending totally for him, also carried some of the wedding expense, along with my friend's parents. It wasn't funny! So what do we do? Maybe make photocopies of certificates and do checks, follow them in the morning to make sure they r going to work? Ask their family members 'did ur brother/son really graduate?'?? |
I'm not sure about the meanings of these names but I love them and will make sure they are part of my kids' names regardless of the fact that I'm ibo: Oluwashemilore Olaoluwakiitan Jadesolaoluwa |
Just my two cents: I don't think the question we should be asking OP is 'do u love the woman?', I think we should ask 'do you love the child enough?'. I think the fact that OP feels burdened enough to ask opinions here might signify some feelings not yet at the fore. OP, pls ask yourself, if u get married to this lady (assuming it's ur intention to do so) will u feel bitter about taking care of the child when your own kids start arriving? Will u wish u didn't have to pay all that school fees, or u didn't have to spend that much money on kids' clothes? If u love the child enough, pls go on. I'm just saying that love for the mother isn't enough here. We have to take cognisance of other things too. Good luck! |
