Good day everyone, personally tired of people trying to classify the purity of dogs. Here’s what I feel:
1. Before you tell someone his/her dog isn’t pure, there must be evidence(lab test specifically). angles matter when taken pictures of a dog so you can’t judge from pictures.

2. For owners, you can check for breed standards from kennel clubs, Examples UKC, AkC and so on. If your dog conforms to the breed standard then yes you have yourself what ever breed you thought you have.

Hey folks so recently I got my dog Lord Draco “Malfoy” Lee, a White Male American Pitbull Terrier a month back at 7weeks(he’s 11weeks now). I was an avid Harry Potter book series reader, so it’s only fair I was inspired to name my boy after one of the controversial characters in the franchise.

“Pitbulls are dangerous” “Pitbulls attack their owners” “Pitbulls can’t be tamed”, these are few amongst the fears people associate with owning a pitbull. Most of these folks have no idea pitbulls are a general name for a class of four dogs which originated from a mix of bulldogs, and the pitbull just like every other dog reacts/responds to whatever training was instilled to it from its young age. A Chihuahua and other toy dogs have tendencies to be unruly than a pitbull if not well trained, the only difference is they don’t have the agility and biteforce of bigger dogs.

It’s important to note that a Pitbull is not advisable for a first time dog owner or one who hasn’t trained dogs before as they are quite filled with energy and you have to be able to keep up with them or else you’ll be stuck with a stubborn dog that doesn’t listen to you and would eventually attack your acquaintances or neighbors and even you if care is not taken.

I personally had a Rottweiler when I was quite young but it died during the harmattan period then due to complications arising from sickness. I’ve also trained a Boerboel for my Uncle for 2years when he travelled out and needed a caretaker for it. A pedigree Boerboel is a beautiful and one of the best guard dogs to own presently.

My Uncle finally returned late last year and the Boerboel was returned to him and I was duly compensated. I then decided it was time to get a new dog for myself, so I was stuck with the decision of what breed to select and factors that’ll influence my final decision.

I am a very athletic person myself as I constantly take jogs and lift weights 4-5 times a week. I usually took my Uncle’s dog while jogging, but I can tell you from experience with my Uncle’s dog, that the Boerboel is not really cut out for long distance walks as they have a strong attachment to the Home, so after a while jogging/walking it stops or tries to turn around back home.

So I made research on dogs that were very active when it came to exercise or high pressure tasks and the APBT suited the kind of lifestyle I live best from the dogs I saw.

Anyways Draco is 11 weeks now and from week 8 I started socializing him with my acquaintances and my friends dogs. Despite him still being small it’s safe to say no dog can bully a pitbull, despite his age/size Draco holds his own against every other dog he’s met during their “rough plays”.

I also started teaching him basic instructions and monitored his potty training from week 9(Now he knows the right spot to poop and pee), I also have a spacious compound so I’ve started leash training him and taking him on walks in the vicinity and sometimes a community park in my area where I unleash him and let him run his heart out.

I’m still trying to work on the best feeding plan for him and if I should get Bullymax, although I’m not really after him getting extremely big, I’m more focused on his athleticism.

Thanks for reading up to this point, kindly correct in areas I might have lapsed and suggest measures I can take to ensure he grows to be a well groomed and obedient dog.

you need to do a full thorough grooming, he has reached the age where he'll be shedding heavily.
bathe him to moisten his fur then when he's almost dry, use your hand to untangle any matted patch of fur you see, also pluck off any detached fur you see.
when you're done, come him thoroughly, a lot of fur is probably going to come off but don't worry, they were already detached.
make sure you move the comb in opposite directions when combing, if you do it like this the comb will reach the root and remove the detached fur.
here's the come I use, just a regular human comb

Followed your instructions, discover Bailey is the one shedding.
Brushing Rex fur is a lot more harder, now I get why people let their dog fur tangle.

The truth is that, I love the dog very much but if it's truly a dwarf as it has shown some signs then it will surely affect me selling the puppy, because most buyers will insist on seeing the mother picture. I don't want it for personal reasons, it's for business reason that's why I requested for pure breed.

You could monitor the growth of the pup for a month or so, strike a deal with the breeder to collect the pup if there’s no change but I would like to know what happens to the dog after the swap?

Living organisms are bond to have genetic disorder even if their parents are fine and it can be applicable to dogs, the litter mate of that pup could be very much bigger.
Looking at the pup asides the stunted growth looks like quality(I was actually impressed).

She recovered, placed her on egg diet mixed with supplements coupled with the drips she took, she recovered fine.

I wouldn't say he's very fast like a gsd or dobberman but he can carry his weight and run fast enough.
and when given the motive, he's surprisingly quick on his feet.
Caucasians aren't really a very fast breed sha, they're more of strength and stamina than speed and agility so he's just like that

Good day everyone, Bailey has parvo( it was confirmed). She’s has been manifesting symptoms and all.
We’ve been feeding her raw egg yolk, glucose, grinded cray fish, multivitamins and liver cod oil mix through a syringe.
Hoping not to loose another pup, she’s on drip also.

that's okay, don't jump to parvo anytime your dog vomits or stools sha, sometimes it could be another thing and you could be panicking for nothing.
just let the vet check her and do tests try not to hope for the worst
