So I think it’s the season for Caucasians to shed or something cause Rex has been shedding a lot. Please if you’re not ready to sit for a long period of time dragging the undercoat of your dog out, do not get a Caucasian shepherd. This is the first time I’m experiencing this and damn it’s exhausting but the after look and feel is comforting. grin

Update

Bailey is no longer friendly to strangers, i think I’ve made mention of the fact that she’s pretty aggressive compared to Rex but in term of guard duty she’s was just not there while Rex would be making efforts to attack from his kennel Bailey would just pack one side grin

Now I know her parent were pretty aggressive so I wasn’t really Concern with her behavior.

P.s she’s going to be 8months on the 10th and she’s just showing signs of a guard dog. so therefore, I would urge people to be patient with their dogs, just let them grow

Ops, huskies and Great Danes have friendly temperament and that’s not even the picture of a Great Dane. There’re so many dogs more dangerous than the ones listed e.g central Asian shepherd, Kangal and even dogo Argentino’s. rott’s can perform more damage than some of the dogs mentioned

Due to the stay at home order, everyone has been at home order so he has been excited most of the time. He's not used to seeing everyone at home all day like this so he's just everywhere with happiness now.
He also made a new friend "Rocky", I met Rocky's owner walking him one day and we talked and he also met Roscoe so he started bringing rocky to our house.
For now, Rocky is scared of him but hopefully he'll warm up to him.

The very first day they met, as Rocky got to our gate with the owner, he sensed Roscoe and started barking and growling at him from outside the gate, and Roscoe barked back.
When I brought Roscoe out to introduce them, Rocky kept quiet and started whining and he got scared so the owner even had to cross the street with him to keep distance.
Roscoe was just pulling his chain and struggling to get to Rocky so Rocky went to stay close to his owner and started making puppy noises lol.
I'm guessing he's scared of Roscoe because of his size but hopefully he'll warm up to him soon, for now they are kept separate from each other when they meet.
Anyways, the port Harcourt lockdown just started on Sunday so everywhere has been blocked, I can't even get fresh meat for his feeding so he's on dry meat now, it has also cancelled some of his mating appointments so let's see where it leads.
Hopefully it'll get better.

She’s doing great. Gsd’s are medium size dogs and growth patterns is quite different, they tend to become skinny, get tall and bulk up. So in other for you not to feel bad about your dog growth in 2 months time, you should know this.

A summary of their character :

Bailey has been picking a lot from Rex, she’s a lot more active and and shows more aggression than Rex; Rex is reserved and only shows aggression when strangers are in the house but Bailey on the other hand shows a bit of aggression even outside.

Rex is still a cry baby(he has always been like that since he was a pup). He always try to find his way into the house or if he’s lock up in his kennel for too long will start to whine. He loves his grooming sessions unlike Bailey that I would have to keep her mouth busy else she will try to chew my hand or the brush.

Bailey is far more obedient compared to Rex also

Optimax puppy food cost 9k per bag.

10kg and that has been the price, I buy at a plaza in gwarinpa and also in kubwa market

Here’s my feeding expenses for 2 dogs(You can slash it by half)
2 bags of optimal puppy dry food for a month- 24k(1 bag will be enough for you)
Monthly deworming plus endo and ecto parasite injections -6k
Meat(weekly) -5k

Expenses include leash, collar, comb etc which solely depends on the quality you’re getting and how long it last for you

Price for vaccination actually depends on your vet

Yeah sure naw... get a strong antiseptic soap like detol soap, I bought a dog bar soap at baruwa last week tho, very good one, before then it was a just antiseptic soap, and warmwater mixed with detol..

Actually this is really dangerous for your dog, humans and dogs have different ph level, human soaps are formulate to balance our ph level which is on the acidic side. Using soaps & antiseptic would disrupt the ph level of your dog causing bacteria and virus etc to thrive on your dogs skin
P.s even dog breeds has different ph level so even if it was okay with rabbitcartel’s dog, it might not go so well for yours

Today, I stumbled On a tape and I did some measurements

Bailey will be 7months by 10th of May
Height - 61cm
Length(tail to nose) -128cm

Rex will be 10months tomorrow(there was a correction to his age, I spoke to the breeder)

Height - 73cm
Length(tail to nose) - 138cm

So I don’t think Rex might grow taller but hopefully he should

the fight actually Lasted for 1:55 seconds and the bigger dog was even taking the pitbull's body away when it was done with it so they had to follow them and drag the pitbull's half dead body away

I just watched the video and basically People take calmness for weakness.
The pitbull has the willingness to fight honestly and it’s courage is high but the Caucasian shepherd still remains on top cause he’s a big dog

Yeah, I gave her pap using the syringe. Mainwhile the vet visited today to administer a drip and also gave some injections. Im also giving her glucose with water.

She/he will be fine, just continue the treatment till she/he becomes strong enough
