Travel › Re: Being Black In Berlin/germany by Drenimarcus(m): 8:50pm On Jul 20, 2020 |
Danielhouston: In Germany it is customary that men sit down to pee in the toilet. You’d even see signs that tell you it is wrong to stand, both men and women sit down to pee. They find it extremely impolite to stand and pee. They believe you have to keep the toilet clean and not splash your urine around, as a man.
You can stand to pee in a club or public toilet that is usually unhygienic. But in homes, hospitals and offices, you are supposed to sit down to pee. This one took me time to get used to and even till today, I still stand to pee. Some offices got tired of complaining, that they now have 2 toilets. One for those men who stand to pee and the other for those who sit to pee.
I struggled with this, with my first flatmates. They’d always complain that I didn’t sit to pee. I was also using water to clean my bumbum and some of the water would splash on the toilet seat. One day my flatmate’s girlfriend went to pee. As soon as she sat down, she felt water on the seat and she screamed. Since that day, I always wipe the toilet seat whenever I use water. I don’t like to use only tissue paper because I feel like it doesn’t clean me properly, except I’m using a toilet outside my house and toilet paper is my only option. Yeah you can judge me now. This is all me , even after using tissue, I always feel a little bit of poop is stuck to my yansh As you disseminate info on Germany to numerous readers out here, I pray may your source never run dry,Amen. |

Danielhouston: Types of black people in Germany (continued)
5. The Somalis These are refugees from Somalia. There are many of them in Germany and you can find them in almost every city, if not all. They are usually allocated to smaller cities and a few of them are in big cities.
They are the ones the racist Germans look at, to form their view of Africa. They see the Somalis and automatically believe they are a representation of Africa. Poor, uneducated people who need help. The Somalis don’t help the cause either. They are usually lazy, jobless, and don’t integrate.
Even as refugees, they have the opportunity to learn German and take up vocational training (Ausbildung), but many of them would rather depend on Government assistance and get money from the job center every month. You’d see families with 4 kids and they all depend on the government. Some of them do menial jobs and try to contribute to the system, but the majority are lazy.
You will see them in the train or tram, speaking their language very loudly. You’ll also see them fighting each other, getting drunk and being provocative. In most cases, the police would step in. The ones in Berlin would harass people on the street and say offensive words in German, to strangers passing by. A lot of people have learned to ignore them.
They sometimes get attacked in small cities and are often targets of racism. A lot of Germans don’t like them, but they mind their business. You’ll hear them expressing their sentiments among themselves. Some German women have accused them of rape (I cannot validate the stories), but it has made the news. The Somalis here are the equivalent of Aboki in Nigeria. Except that Aboki in Nigeria, actually hustle and are not lazy.
There are some Somalis who were born in Germany, after their parents moved here as refugees. These ones are usually well integrated, educated, speak good German and have white collar jobs. They mostly have German friends and don’t mix up with other Somalis. They try their best to make a better impression and break out of the stereotype. Permit me to add a little bit to the Somalians. The ones here in Minnesota , like to work like crazy, though they procreate a lot. A family of maybe 6/7 can all live in an apartment. They are truly extremely loud and noisy. They love Nigeria a whole lot. I like them tho but I stay far away from them. Their wahala too much. Thank you for this thread, Sir Daniel. |

OakPearl: And there goes our dear INO. While we were busy waiting for it to come to the $8/$9 junction for boarding, it catapults to $20 gaining over 30% today!
They announced that they won a $71 million contract with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) to scale up the manufacturing of their Cellectra 3PSP smart devices. The DOD will also acquire some of Inovio's Cellectra 2000 devices as part of the deal. Both of these devices are used to administer INO-4800 -- Inovio's potential vaccine for COVID-19 -- directly into the patient's skin.
This is one of the beauties of the US markets. May you wake up one morning to find one of your stocks have jumped 90%!!! |

Whereas, the old dog understands that its a cycle. True, his sister Loaned him $500 to put in it also, I deh pray make we no jam like this |
