From the looks of that pic it's production pond one we don't really go into that pond except during harvesting and I noticed that the dead were students from other dept cos a student of the dept know more than to mess around with water ,RIP to the dead more vigilance and stringent measures should be applied. .

The guy is not a dunce bros. The curse of oil has a name and it's called the "Dutch disease. Norway was already an industrialised country before oil was discovered in the North sea, ditto Britain. The US was also firmly on its way to industrialisation before oil. The common thing with these countries was that their prosperity would have happened with or without oil. The case is diffrerent for those countries who prospered because of oil. Saudi Arabia's youth unemployment rate is close to 30%, Venezuela which has the world's largest oil reserves if you include its heavy oil is currently a basket case where chronic food shortages are rife. And please don't mention Quatar, UAE, Kuwait or Bahrain whose collective population is not up to that of Alimosho Local Govt. Libya is at war so also is Iraq. Oil makes a country's citizens lazy and unnecessarily combative. That's why it is usually called a curse.
You have spoken well ,but what is the way forward??

No you are wrong,it doesn't necessarily mean the one who loves more,it has to be attributed to the mind.some people can natural stomach unbearable emotional pain more than others, thus making it seem they didn't care at first. A good example is me.
Lols not to argue too much stomaching pain or hurt doesn't mean you don't hurt Jus's means your adept @ concealment but either way I agree with you too ...

grin Lolzzz. Certainly not me. Making gender-specific statements on emotion-related issues is not in my nature. Although, I used to have th e orientation that ladies are the weaker vessels [I grew up in a patriachial society, afterall], I've grown out of that imbecility since the age of 14, about six years ago. So, it wasn't me making that argument. cheesy

Now, back to the topic. You said the one who cares more suffers more from heart break. Of, course yes. But you haven't answered the question yet o, 'cos the thrust of the guy's argument was that ladies, on the average, or should I say in general, are THE ONES who care more, hence the reason why they wallow more in the grief of heart break. How do you see that?
Yes I agree with you that ladies sometimes suffer more from heart break ,but iv known guys who have been the ones to suffer and the reason being the one who loves more in any relationship hurts the most when it ends ,it could be either party...

Of course, I am a Biafra's sympathizer and a student of history. It has been established in the moment of history that what complied certain individuals to support a course might not be present in second stanza. For example, One-Nigeria, a phrase coined in 1967. In today’s Nigeria, most people are wiser than in period of 1967, could not be fooled with silly One-Nigeria and certainly will not fight for such crap. Most of the factors that created the favorable outcome on Nigeria’s side are no longer obtainable today or virtually not in existence. Again, I stand by my last sentence that in an event of second civil war in Nigeria, Nigeria will cease to exist as we all know it and certainly will give rise to Biafra we have not seen before the war.
Wrong again, your premise can only occur if other parties are not only sympathetic to your cause, but eventually join, but if they believe in one Nigeria despite all that's happening believe me they will unite again and stop all forms of insurrection ,so rather than hate speeches and threats, i would advice building political ties and mending broken fence's.That is the way to go cos there is no way the Igbo's will win of it comes to that and I'm not even a fan of bloody settlements ..

I guess one of the reasons Gen. Ironsi was overthrown remains the issue of unitary government. How was the current system is Ironsi when he was overthrown to change the government? Are you still living on the fake news of yesteryears without adequate research or the acts of insincerity Nigerians are known remain part of you too?

1.Am not insincere and neither am I a tribalist.
2. Yes i believe in one Nigeria cos that's where I was born and that's all I know .Yeah i was born , raised and schooled in the west did my SIWES in the middle belt Taraba state I've been to Niger state served in Umuahia and currently @ owerri
3. All regions and tribes have their peculiarities that might be unsavory but we can always work through the differences .
4. I'm not Igbo but all their agitations stems from the fact that they haven't produced a president or VP during the democracy era yet they have occupied every other spot or position attainable in the country so cries of marginalization makes me laugh.
5.What the Igbo's haven't realised is that the Nigerian presidency is not something handed its forged and formed with alliances built not tryna guilt trip the other tribes like its a right for them forgetting that others too also crave it .
6. All I'd said about Gen Ironsi is the damn truth he wasn't killed cause of the infamous decree of centralizing power there by creating the evil hydra headed monster of successive presidents who have refused to revert to true federalism for a simple reason "absolute power is sweet", rather he was killed for not executing the coupist rather transmuting the military sentencing to prison term because it was largely seen as an Igbo thing thou others were fingered in it all should have been shot as per the military code this angered the north and led to all the mishaps that have befallen this great Nation. Perhaps your history is faulty so read up
7.I believe in one Nigeria cos our power lies in our diversity our one and main problem has and been corrupt officials if we can deal with this equity and prosperity will flow in every region ..

Na wa oooo. I used to hear one Nijeria and I thought it was a concept coined by the Hausa or Fulanis. But I did some bit of research and found out that Zik in an interview granted in the 70s said that he coined the concept of 'One Nigeria' and advanced the idea of the ‘The Indivisibility and perpetuity of the federation’
https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/my-role-in-the-civil-war-by-zik/119382.html

Just now your post on the six geopolitical zones piqued my curiosity. Before now I thought it was an Hausa or Fulani creation. But I just did some research now and found that it was Alex Ekwueme who propounded the principle of the six geopolitical zones during the 1994 Constitutional Conference convened by Abacha.

https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/discordant-tunes-over-6-geo-political-zones/191175.html

https://www.today.ng/opinion/75194/the-debate-about-nigerias-structure

It's kind of ironic in the light of history and the current going ons.
. you forgot to add that they are agitating for restructuring and reverting to federalism and decentralized power but it was their brother Gen Aguyi Ironsi who made the current system we are running now ,most of the problems they are. complaining of today are self inflicted...

Thanks for the educative and interesting threads. I always follow ur threads. There is an argument in one thread currently on,although it isnt ur thread but I want ur opinion. The thread is about crocodiles, alligators and monitors. The OP used google as evidence that alligators are only found in America and china in the whole world. I also confirmed it in google. But in reality,I found it to be a big lie!!! I stay in Benin city. There are lots of alligators in our local markets here which were never imported from America or China. I even went to various markets and took picture evidence. But some were still adamant all because '' google said no alligators in Africa''. Below are some of my pics. Please I want ur opinion. Thanks
that's a Nigerian croc there are 3 species of crocs found in Nigeria the common Nile croc that's found all over Africa esp in huge numbers along the river Nile and the countries it passes and this one in your pics is an African dwarf croc its common in Ondo And Lagos am not surprised its found in Benin too and the African desert croc...Again alligators are native to north America only look up differences in crocs and alligators esp with pic and you will understand better...

Mine doesn't know I've broken up with him either. One thing I cherish the most in relationships is effective communication. I know if you love me,you will do everything possible to hear from me and be with me.
As for me,I don't waste time at all. I don't know how to wait endlessly on people. Once I spot a red flag,I'm gone within a twinkle of an eye. I'm a hot cake lol. I know my worth. I can't beat myself over the wrong person when there is someone better somewhere. What I can say about these guys(ladies too) is,if you know you don't want a serious relationship with someone, don't lead them on. It hurts a lot. Stick to whoever you want... Don't waste my time. Ladies should know when to MOVE. Don't waste time. Don't! Be financially independent...explore and have fun. Life doesn't have to revolve around a man.
I think you should have spelt it out to him in black and blue that u are someone who loves to keep in touch and expect the same or close to the same level from him... I
