The campaign of opposition presidential candidate Peter Obi is ‘anchored on equity, justice and fairness,” the Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi, said on Friday.

Mr Umahi, a member of Nigeria’s ruling party, APC, however, said he believes Mr Obi will not win the presidential election.

The Ebonyi governor spoke Friday afternoon after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

“Peter Obi movement is a movement that is anchored on equity, justice and fairness. It may not translate to outright win because I must defend my party, I must wish my party well,” the governor said.

Mr Umahi sought to be the APC presidential candidate but lost the party’s primary to ex-Lagos governor Bola Tinubu.

Mr Umahi also said it is unfair to associate the criminality by insurgent groups in the South-east with Peter Obi.

That’s a lie. The only person who is the hero of democracy in NIGERIA is Tinubu. He did far better than Peter Obi as Governor when it comes to security. He created the security trust fund for police, the first time in NIGERIA. Shetima did wonderfully well with terrorists in Bornu, he begged Jonathan to provide men and ammunition. Jonathan did not listen and was genuflecting in Aso Rock denying that Chibok girls were kidnapped for good 2 weeks.

In saner climates Peter Obi should be behind bars for investing state money in his father’s brewery business and losing the investment. It’s against ethical practice to do so. And the 250 million money laundry is obviously clear he tried to hide his corruption by conniving with motor dealer to claim they wanted to buy cars with it.

Tinubu was in AD as governor while Abdulahi was in PDP as governor too between 1999 to 2007. They were in opposing camps.

Please what makes first class graduate better than third class? That one can cram to pass, doesn't make such person better than the other. Have you gone to university? If you have gone to university you won’t be talking like this. Tinubu’s first class was not obtained in NIGERIA. Nigerias educational system is different from abroad. Every graduate of western university knows that. Banks, multinational companies etc are always scouting for first class graduate because they are more intelligent and more talented than others. Bill Gates has talents that’s natural and that is not common to find. It may be that they could not discover his talents in university. They grade graduates in universities for a purpose, and your argument does not make sense in that regard.

I don’t believe so. When Tinubu Waa Governor, Shetima was a bank manager in Lagos. Tinubu has greater and better political experience than Shetima. And Tinubu is a first class graduate, Shetima is not.
