I can see that you have brought out a few weakness here and there without mentioning the giant strides he made. This obviously exposes your own weakness too. You are the type that will never appreciate what people to do but point accusing fingers at them. You have forgotten the strides made in Lagos. I am from state and was borne and brought up in Lagos. My parents are lagosians and not atohunrinwa. I was there in Awolowo era and Jakande leadership era. I know what they all contributed to development. Without digressing and coming back to Tinubu, among his achievements are increasing the IGR from less than 40 billion to over 100 billion. He sustained Lagos for 3 years when Obasanjo stopped revenue to Lagos because he created LCDAs without support of PDP National Assembly and Obasanjo. How else do you want him to prove he was desperate for that to happen? He increased teachers salary to unprecedented levels. He bought buses for them for the first time. He paid WAEC fees for candidates irrespective of the state they came from. He enhanced teacher training. He built and renovated a lot of the Jakande schools. He bought books and ICT facilities in many schools. That’s in education. In health, he built Ayinke House and turned Ikeja general hospital to Teaching Hospital by Upgrading the facilities. He built more health centres like the Orile Agege and others. He provided free health service for pregnant women and Under 5 years. That’s in health. In environmental sanitation and job creation, he met dead bodies on streets. I was a living witness. He created LAWMA and LASTMA which created jobs for over 20,000 people. Wherever they came from is immaterial, they are all Lagosians. Up till today they are still there. He transformed Oshodi along with Fashola and Ambode. Oshodi was a slum of criminals and other vices. I was a living witness. He rearranged public transport and introduced government buses. He provided buses for civil servants and increased their salaries far above minimum wage. The highest salary outside federal government is Lagos state. He also brought in ICT to civil service, the first in Nigeria, not even federal government had started that. He improved the welfare of civil service men and women. He introduced blueprint for development of Lagos. In the blueprint is the light rail, the Lekki free trade zone, the Eko Atlantic city and Lagos Mega city projects. You can see what is happening now in these areas. Dangote Refinery and fertiliser plant is located there. The seaport is almost completed. Tinubu was the first Governor to introduce independent power supply through Enron. Obasanjo frustrated it because it’s under exclusive legislative list. And who is Obasanjo when it comes to Yoruba politics? Obasanjo is a Paria in Yorubaland. He was the one that said Awolowo is not the messiah we needed. When he died Ojukwu said he was the best president we never had. Obasanjo never won election in his own ward in Abeokuta. Obasanjo was rejected in the whole of Yorubaland when Babangida and northern oligarchy forced him on all Nigerians. He never won in any southwest state for his presidency. He was only voted in southeast and north.
Now you see who is the true Yoruba man. No Governor ever performed near Tinubu up till today in Nigeria. You can see the few I enumerated above. The other states come to Lagos to understudy it’s governance system and yet you think it’s within Nigerian standard. If you hate someone, be honest with his achievements. He was an outstanding manager in Mobil up till now. His office was retained after resigning in case he returned after his governorship. Because he transformed the company. I was listening to testimony of his colleagues at Mobile on TVC news few weeks ago. I had to shed tears. He is a transformational leader of great proportion. That’s why I am supporting him. I have never met him, and I don’t have a price. I am not hungry. I hope these help to put things in perspective for you.

Of course everyone knows Tinubu is more intelligent and more pragmatic than Buhari. He has done it in Lagos and everyone can see that . Tinubu is a prudent manager of economy and talent discoverer. You are not correct. The only one with some influence in that list is Buhari and the least influence is Obasanjo. None of them can stop Tinubu at this rate because even the core north is ready to vote Tinubu and Buhari cannot change that. The constant message reverberating from the grassroots and local politicians is that it is time to pay back Tinubu for his loyalty and support for Buhari. They know that if Buhari decides otherwise that’s betrayal on his part too. And they won’t follow him in the betrayal.
