001Lagos:
The Nigeria Labour Congress in a speech released on Monday night knocked the President, Bola Tinubu’s declaration that the review of minimum wage was imminent.

The Congress in the statement noted that it was “open knowledge” that the review of minimum wage would commence in 2024 as stipulated by law. The Congress also stated that the Tinubu administration had failed to show cooperation and dialogue with members of the organised labour.

The statement which was signed by the national president, Joe Ajaero, reads, “Labour is disturbed that while President Tinubu in his speech lavishly praised the Private Sector for quickly dispensing wage award to their employees, the Federal Government has failed to do the same for public workers in its employment. This is a clear case of failing woefully to live up to the standards it has set for others to meet.

“It is open knowledge that the review of the national minimum wage is a matter of the law which is expected to happen in 2024. How would Nigerian workers cope with the current reality of hyperinflation and suffering unleashed by the hasty removal of the so-called petrol subsidy till 2024 when the national minimum wage would be reviewed? This is incredible!”

Speaking further on the negotiations so far, Ajaero said, “Organised Labour has been forced to negotiate with empty chairs on the Federal Government’s side as the Federal Government has not matched its public promises with firm commitment to negotiate in good faith with labour. As a matter of fact, the sub-committee on wage award has not been inaugurated and has not met.”

This man called Ajaerob is a bus conductor i suspect. In one breathe you condemn Tinubu by saying minimum wage cannot be reviewed until 2024, and in another breathe you condemn Tinubu for not showing example to private sector by quickly increasing wage before private sector. Is this guy coherent at all? Anyway, I know he is nitwit with no brain like Obi his mentor. All he wants to do is cause commotion in the country and blackmail the judges indirectly to give judgement against Tinubu. He is a mole in this country. He is a biafran man.

Honestly I believe the NLC is too deep in its support for Obi and LP that nothing objective could be coming from the trade union anymore. What do you expect in terms of honesty and integrity from NLC when they share offices with Labour Party and Peter Obi?

After collecting the specimen, she then went to put it in the instrument that was given to me earlier, then came back immediately and said 'keep it up' with a thumbs up sign from her.

Since then, I've been wondering what she meant by that. Does anyone here have a clue what that could mean?

Obi also has had UK citizenship and honorary citizenship of US. Rules of citizenship defer for various countries. And there are different categories of citizenship and how they are voided for each country. If Obi wants to prove them wrong he should have obtained the criteria for voiding citizenship of that category in Guinea, and demonstrate where Tinubu is wrong.
