Longman6: I don't even know why people think the Nigeria army can do any thing significant, military capacity has moved beyond jungle warfare where nations engage themselves in duels, As far back as 1990 Russia and USA had already developed intercontinental ballistic missiles. Nigeria doesn't even have 250 fighter jets. We are jokers in this country. The only time physical presence is required is when nations are involved in peace keeping or trying to neutralise guerilla warfare. The Nigeria military is overrated. No intelligence, No machinery, No research. An average westpoint graduate would is far above those local Generals. I wonder how them wan take win the Biko war sef,,,trump go bust laff wen e see those outdated hunter rifles |

SSpeter: Hello friends, I am a sales person with lots of targets and pressure on the job hence I am looking for a business that won't sap much of my time. Prior to this time, I invest in Tbills, FDs and Commercial papers with good credit ratings and FGN bonds. Lately the interest on these portfolios are nothing to write home about. I have matured certificates I don't want to rollover leaving me too liquid. The best interest (500bps) I have gotten recently was from a CP with a low credit rating and no bank guarantee. I am left with idle cash sitting on several savings accounts peaking at 4.08 percent. I am thinking of venturing to the real sector but the problem is I love my job and I am too preoccupied to monitor a business. Secondly I have a low risk appetite. So guys l want to test the waters first. I will appreciate a business that is scalable. Thanks. Buy a car for uber |

SeuIn: Hi all,
Need your advice.
After deliberating on different businesses I could run, I have decided to start a business renting sound systems out to DJ. (Obviously After Corona )
Reasons: It requires a minimum amount of monitoring. It's within my budget 4-5m(At least I think). It's easy to get returns.150k - 200k peruse means I can recover my capital in a very short time.
I'm looking for more in-depth knowledge of the business and want to ask if there's anyone here that has run the business, that can advice on possible pitfalls to watch out for.
Thanks.. Rent out drones,,rent out superb video camera equipments....na there d money dey |

As for our military men killing BH members everyday, i'm not arguing with you, but I hope you have seen a video of a soldier crying and swearing for Burutai after BH ambushed them in yobe yesterday, killing some and injuring others?

Family › Re: Time To Divorce My Wife? by drmikeadams(m): 1:19am On May 21, 2020 |
noakchukibadan: Hello,
Please no ethnic banters. One of us is from Ekiti, and the other is from Benue. I am married for 8 years with 2 kids. It has been one problem to another.
I must be very frank, before marriage, my wife had many very questionable characters, but unfortunately we did the marriage counseling in a church were the pastor happened to be her family member. Many of the issues would have been resolved, but when I raised those issues about her character the pastor promised me that everything will be fine after the marriage. Although this is not an excuse, but looking back now I would have been more patient and taken my decision myself instead of rushing into the marriage. For this I HOLD MYSELF ACCOUNTABLE
There is hardly nothing we do not quarrel about, I have always been the one to initiate settlement. The only way I ensure that there is peace in the house is for me not to complain about anything. Even at that, there is always trouble. If the children do anything wrong, she always says those characters the children are exhibiting are not from her and that she is not surprised that they inherited such characters from me.
She can go for months without talking to me, even if I tried to, I have done all I could do, I have begged, cried prayed. I just feel tired and exhausted from trying to make the marriage work or have peace in the home, the sad part is that she often reminds me every time there is misunderstanding that I should remember that she can stay on her own without talking to any body. Just to add, she is very prayerful.
OTHER INFORMATION. 1. I can say conveniently that there is no money problem at home. Finance is okay. 2. I went to see her father 2 years ago, the man said unfortunately he can not do anything. This is true because she was raised away from her Father, she has no contact with any of her fathers family and her father has a zero say in her life. 3. she has 5 elders ones, non of them is in communication with her because of many unresolved issues. Of her 3 younger ones she only maintains a relationship with the last boy who is just 14 years. . 4. Her mum can not talk to her because she simply dares not. However, behind, her mother use to beg me and she kept saying she understands her daughter's character and that she is doing her best by praying and doing deliverance for her. 5. She is not in contact with her maternal uncles and aunt because she said they supported her elder ones when she had problem with them.
So I am stuck with no one to help call the both of us and resolve the issue.
Every year for 5 straight years, she always forgets my birthday, last year, she forgot also, three days later, she bought me a present and I refused to collect the present and I asked her why does she keep forgetting my birthday, year after year for 5 years. She just said sorry, but I left the present in the room, she never bothered to bring the present to me. Another birthday was gone yesterday 2nd May, and as I write, no happy birthday yet.
I literally cook for myself, and all domestic things I do for myself.
I will end this by saying that in fairness to her, her character was not too different before the marriage and courtship, sincerely only once, that was like one year before the marriage I broke up with her, she came to apologize and promised that she will change. Her mother also came to apologize to me also.
This woman has refused to change or allow peace to hold sway, she is right every time, while everybody around is wrong. Sincerely, I do not know what to do anymore.
I am tired and exhausted. I do not know what to do anymore. I am 42, I was diagnosed of high blood pressure 2 years ago. With all these red flags u still jump enter d marriage....good luck wit ur bp |

slyfox35: Best friends or closest friends as some people term it is quite normal in the life of 80% of world population, I had one too.
We grew up as teens together, matured as adults together, he came to our house always and ate all his meals with us. My mom was really nice to him when she was alive. He wore my clothes and never returned them. I did not ask because my parents always provided for me although they were average citizens.
Then the worst thing in my life happened. I lost both my parents within the space of four years. Things turned downhill for me (orphans do suffer a lot.. Too much suffering for you to believe there is even God in heaven who takes care of the fatherless and motherless).
My friend travelled to an African country. He kept telling me to come over there to work that things are better there. I kept declining but after a year of constant pressure, I decided to man up, packed my bags and travelled to meet him.
Guess what? I did not stay up to 5 days with him!!!
His attitude changed by the second day, he yells at me at every given opportunity, from his best friend, I turned to his boy, the heat he was given me was so bad that when he leaves the house and he comes back, I get scared just by hearing his footsteps. I virtually turned to a nonentity to him. I had no money on me because the little I had left, he collected it when I arrived. I knew no one, I felt so miserable and alone and I started regretting why I left Nigeria.
On the fifth day ,I woke up early in the morning and shook him up. I don’t know what got into me (but I am glad it did), I told him I can’t stay with him anymore and I want to leave. He did not even feel bad about this, he did not think of the fact that I know nothing and nowhere in this country. He let me go.
I packed my bag amid tears and went into the street. Mind you, I had no one to call back in Nigeria... It was tough on me but as a naija guy and as God will have it, I did not spend even a night on the streets. I was shocked that a total stranger took me in, clothed and fed me. He taught me everything he knows. I worked for 6 months and was able to make 2 million Naira. This was like a dream to me (If you get money ehn, to praise God Dey sweet o)
I came back to Nigeria, rented an apartment, furnished it and continued working from here.
This so called best friend of mine saw my posts and pictures on Facebook and video called me to check on me (I guess his eyes did not believe what he was seeing) he asked me if I am in a hotel, I said no, I am in my apartment. He was shocked (me I nor keep any grudge against you) he told me he was coming to Nigeria and that I should please forgive him and forget everything that happened. I told him I can forgive but can’t forget.
What surprised me most are this exact words he said “my guy, if I come, na your house I go relax first abeg”
Now my fellow Nairalanders, I am asking, how should I go about this?
I have forgiven him but should I allow him into my home? Avoid am like plague |

LinLinGentle: My wife is presently in this country because we both have moved on from ''whatever happened in Africa''. Like I said I was not a perfect husband back in Africa like most people, but I was not a beast either. We were both busy professionals who needed more work on our marriage, period! We worked on some of those issues and decided to move forward and this is why everyone has now relocated abroad. Since all these troubles started, I have had multiple failed attempts to talk to my wife, I even prostrated to her a few times begging for peace, asking her to just state whatever she wants for us to live in harmony and raise our kids in a healthy environment in order not to jeopardise their future, she was just laughing at me instead and trying to record me on camera to send to her advisors and people back in Nigeria so they could mock me. She called someone on one occasion while I was down on the floor begging her, she said ''Come see this mumu guy, so he can actually prostrate for a woman, he hasn't seen anything yet. Abroad has made the idiot humble, bla bla bla''.
This woman acts like she is now in control of the whole world and has exclusive access to the launch codes of some nuclear weapons. She is so power drunk, she acts like she is under some kinda spell. Like someone who is high or just on a self-destructive path. Multiple begging, trying to make her understand that all these recklessness would affect everyone, especially our children. I have cajoled her, persuaded her to let us all live in peace. I have involved counsellors and even the pastor a few times when nothing seemed to have worked. The pastors have spoken to the both of us a few times, prayed, counselled us etc. The pastor's wife even took it upon herself to mentor her and coach her one on one. They warned her never to call the police for any reason again unless someone's life was in danger, but to put a call to them instead. After about three further police calls happened, the pastor and his wife felt so disrespected and thought they were just wasting their time on us, they stylishly pulled out from interfering in our issues.
I once ended up in the hospital because I suddenly burst into tears at work one day and they had to refer me to the mental health team because they thought I was depressed, which no doubt I am. We are here at this difficult point because nothing has worked so far. I just cannot understand how someone could be as reckless as this, working so hard at destroying something that could be nurtured into something beautiful. I was not a wife beater even back in Nigeria where some people get away with it, never stole her money, I did not kill her family, impregnate another woman, so I don't really know what this ''revenge'' is all about. Just wake up one morning and disappear from her life...Las Las d way two of huna dey go one person go soon stab d other. |
