Politics › Re: I Have Lost Faith In This Government by drnoel: 10:45am On Aug 11, 2016 |
Sanchez01: Just last year, I joined the many Nigerians who actually thought a dogged fourth time contestants woild be the best thing to happen should Jonathan be kicked. A year after, I have lost my voice around friends and family each time a political discourse comes up, most especially about the state of the economy.
Problems bothering on insecurity, power, state of the economy and corruption have all grown worse than it was under Goodluck Jonathan. Not like Jonathan would have been able to redeem the nation a second time though, and I would have still clearly voted against him if I had caught a glimpse of the anomalies ongoing before hand, but this time, I would have just given my vote to Kowa or Hope.
Without mincing words, Nigeria is presently on autopilot; President Buhari clearly has no idea on what should be done. The BBOG Buhari used as a tool during his campaign have been forgotten, more than ever Fulani herdsmen have been armed and fortified as they impact roads and streets with cow dung and horrible flies. The budget padding saga is still an issue to watch while daily corruption charges hover around the president and his minions.
Just a handful of the many APC faithfuls who are fast realizing that the Change we have is in reverse, it is worthy of note to clearly state that I have lost faith in the Buhari-led administration.
I sincerely hope Kowa would come out stronger with young, vibrant, intelligent and dynamic candidates in 2019. Pls join the line and don't come here to blow grammar. |

OLAADEGBU: What is the difference between a Christian and a disciple? Are the terms "disciple" and "Christian" synonymous? Another question should be why people use disciple as a prefix to their names and not Christian? |

But the question is "will they be useful for Nigeria? Very likely they decide settling abroad. That kind of stuff does not happen anymore in the UK. The system has changed. |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Life Of An Unemployed Naija Girl by drnoel: 8:44am On Aug 01, 2016 |
jholam: So after graduating from the university about a year ago i have'nt got a job. I know most of you will say (just one year and you are complaining.) Well it does'nt matter.
All that matters is that one is without a job and it is extremely annoying and life is boring. You see adverts everywhere of job openings and you wonder if there are just for show or if people are really getting these jobs. Once or twice you see a testimony on nairaland that someone just got a job and you begin to pray for your own. You wait and wait for a miracle because now your degree does not matter again. If you don't have somebody somewhere, 'na only miracle you go hope on.
After going through school, burning mid night candles, going for lectures, doing stupid assignments that lecturers never read and struggling to see that your name is on flimsy attendance cheat for ten marks, what do you get? Answer - A long stay in your fathers house, waiting for when somebody will visit and dash you money. Because your parents do not have your time again. Most times, you might even here comments like" abeg do go marry" or better still "you no get boyfriend?". Sometimes you begin to wonder what went wrong but in the end, what can one do but hope for a miracle.
Life is hard o. Especially if you are unemployed and a girl in naija.
http://joblessnaijagirl..com/?m=1 Keep ur head high and ur principles and priorities clear and straightforward. A job will come, so will men. Just know not to compromise without being overbearing and u will smile at the end. Goodluck. |
