Dovehorizon: Since he will be doing it himself, he should be able to make above 45k weekly, remember some drivers remit about 30-35 weekly. Though in this biz, there are ups and downs but some days can be smooth while some can be rough but be it as it may, 45k weekly is very and absolutely achievable.
People resigning from job should think it through before taking a leap. Let's put it at 50k weekly, that means he is making 200k a month.

[[b]quote author=medd422 post=69374480]Hahahahahaha let me laugh well jare... I never knew I’ve set this thread on fire with my comment. A lot of u even went back to former post to discredit me. Well I’m not employed by anyone of u, I own my own car and I have another car, I can show u proof if u want to. I drove on rental for like a year and I didn’t make much more to buy me a car that’s Uber ready. Until I got an offline trip through a friend to Anambra that lasted a month 50k to and fro then 20k for every day I spend in anambra. I used my small car that’s I’ve always had to do the job, I made about 500k on that trip, then got an offer of a Tokunbo unpopular car. I sold the smaller car to get something tangible. I called Gazuz for advice but he discouraged me on that particular brand which I understand but I was bent on leaving the slavery of paying the better part of my earnings to someone. The car has been somehow problematic but I drive it myself and it’s better than being anyone’s slave. I got the car and luckily, the same client that took me to anambra referred me to someone else, that got me 400k richer. Within four months, with rigorous stress on Uber and support from family members living abroad that wants me to reduce d stress I go through, I managed to buy another car that I put on rental for 25k per week, my reason is based on my experience on the job. D driver doesn’t owe and we are good like that. Now to my earlier post, I used d word rubbish because of the fare rate and 25% commission charged by Uber. And if I’m to have a job of 180k now, trust me I will never leave it to drive taxi. I will not leave certainty for uncertainty. And for the fools talking about applying for jobs on Nairaland, sho mo age mi ni, I’m not looking for job in Nigeria anymore, I have other plans as this will also be my last year driving Taxi.. To the internet does not forget crew, my message is comming late cos I’ve been on an offline trip since Wednesday, I took someone to anambra for a burial and also to visit Holy Ghost ministry of Adoration (Ebube Monso). I just entered Lagos now now now and I just got 100k richer.

0ubenji: the more u talk(mostly out of context).the more of yourself U reveal sir and not in a good light at that.
1. Do u realize the ones who periodically get laid off by banks, oil companies etc, once had your FIXED SALARY? Nigeria's largest P&G plant In ogun state closes down this month and many more Nigerians will lose their jobs with a once FIXED SALARY
2. I'd like to assume u know what job security means; if u tell urself that exists in this economy..I dunno what to say to u anymore
3. Whoever said to dip his legs wholly in a river? It's so strange how u badly describe a vocation over 10,000 riders are currently engaged in; in a bid to make someone get a point.. It's either u are not happy with yourself or your job; either ways...neither of them is a recipe for progress.
On a lighter note tho..ppl who worship a 180k+ job in the name of fixed salary are just the types who are afraid to take giant strides in their life.. The types that are more interested in monthend alerts than the value they add to the organisations themselves. I don't advocate for quitting his job outrightly..but u supporting the idea that e-hailing biz is useless enough to go back to a 180k+ job for, is hypocrisy to me
In the end.its the ones who were stupid enough to take the steps u refused to take that end up employing u..so u can get a FIXED SALARY that u want, coz u are afraid to make money by virtue of your direct input.
I now understand u bro.. The Ambition defines the Man Your present and future generations shall inherit the earth my brother .. It shall be very well with them |

Newbies need to learn from our experience ( both drivers and partners) You are mostly on point when you talk on behalf of car owner partners and often wrong when you talk on behalf of drivers.
Advise base on your own experience and defend your point like you have always been doing like a professional cars owner.
And let your driver come proof themselves to shed more light to how they meet upto 100k net everyweek for 4months n more with proof of evidences.
I ve loads of screenshot of my activities. And can only argue base on the type of car I drive. So basically what you telling me is that a person that drives his own car on uber / taxify can not take home 100k a week after expenses etc ... Honestly you beginning to sound like the driver that owe me over 70k ..jokes apart o |

Gentlelife50: I don't know how you reason, people relate their experience here the other time you started talking about loan and all that. Who asked you? Or you just feel like talking? People can't say their mind again in peace? Somebody came here to seek for opinions on a public forum like this which he got and you are here making noise up and down. You can't force everyone here to reason like you. A quote from nasty nas ..just coz am not in the street does not mean I don't know what is going on ... I just got off the phone with my source.. He stated that he saw my comment on nairaland... about driver owner making 400k net a month.. And I put this on my unborn child.. My guy told that it is possible, and he stated that some days are dry and some days will boom ..the booming days u will use to make up the dry days.. Again this is reliable source.. I have never meet this man face to face before. But we have done business bass on trust .. And a year later we still friends till now .. My point is I don't have to be on the road to know what is going on .... People out there do your research very well before going into uber.. If you own your car ,you can 400k net a month o ,it is not easy, but it is also possible.. I gain nothing by spitting out lies , you see which is very disturbing, at least 60% of these drivers can not wake up in the morning and look themselves in the mirror ,due to so much lies they spit out on nairaland.. I also sold oil to another driver owner ,he stated to me that he makes 300k a month o .. May God help us all especially the liers on this forum.. Amen o |

Megadrop: Bros, I wonder where you get some of the facts you present on this thread atimes. It cud be misleading u know. For the fact tht ur driver hs bn remitting constantly for 4months doesnt mean he makes 400k net! Net is the earning after all deductions hv bn taken from gross earning. Invariably, u are saying tht monthly earning will be like 500-600k bringing it to 400k after statutory deductns hv bn made. This is laughable.
Hv u taken time to know hw mch car owners tht drive on uber/Taxify make as gross monthly. You dont stay in Nigeria I believe neither do you drive on uber here so where did you get ur fact from. Bros, u practically do not hv first hand information abt this business. Forget abt what some drivers come here to display to you. Drive to experience it.
Abnitio before the influx of so many drivers and cars including dead ones being churned out by greedy partners as a result of misleading facts like this i cud say its possible. Someone reading this thread for the first time with this fact you jst gave will think Uber business is heaven on earth and thts why some people after reading this will start thinking of resigning their paying jobs for uber jst because of all this misleading and unverified facts. Well, am nt disputing the fact tht there is money in ehailing biz.

mazinaija: There is no definite answer to how much you can earn driving on uber as owner driver. It all depends on how much you can hustle, how good is your car. As owner driver I must confess there are weeks I earn as much as 70k net and even above, and there Weeks I earn as low as 40k net and even below It all depends how much time I put in. The weeks I start working from 5am to 10pm are the weeks I make 70k and the weeks laziness sets in I work from 9am to 10pm are the weeks earn 50k to 60k. The weeks I earn 40k and below are the weeks I wake up and sit at home, then hustle more in the weekend to cover up for the lost days. Above all its not easy driving for close to 15hours everyday but the reward is figure you churn out weekly. I also resigned from a 150k monthly job and I think I felt better for the past 6months I have done this job full time because no boss to order me around. My only boss is my rider who I treat respectfully because he pays the bill. I don't worry about unruly riders, there are few of them and some days you won't even meet one, and the days you meet one just be patient. I hope the guy on 180k job will take his time and drive on weekends to learn the ropes first, I did same. Thank you. Thank you my brother, nothing in life is easy o .. Since you have your own car ,you can drive as much and less as you want ..sometime even driving your own car can make a person lazy too ..coz you are not in a rush to pay rental and sometimes it encourages owners to procrastinate.. Well it is part of been a boss I guess |

TheCar: I am confused and lost
May 23, 2018, you reply one of comments with this -
From your comment above, you make us believed you had 2 cars. You drive one while collect weekly rental on the other.
Let us assume you have 2 cars as claimed and both are on rental, you collect 70k weekly as rental payment. And 70k X 4 = 280,000.
With your 2 cars, you collect Two Hundred and Eighty Thousand - 280,000 - Naira Monthly without doing anything yet you would quit Uber that pay you minimum income for doing nothing 280,000 monthly for a job that requires you do something for 180,000 monthly. I am lost and confused here. Please explain.
On April 02, 2018 you also said and I qoute " I work on a target. I do 10k daily from Monday to Thursday and 15k daily from Friday to Sunday. Some days, it doesn’t take me more than 3hours to make my 10k and some days, luck will just shine and I’d meet those clients that prefer offline and need u for the whole day. 20 to 25k is sure on those days."
If you do 10k X 4 (Monday - Thursday) = 40,000
15k X 3 (Friday - Sunday) = 45,000
Weekly Total - 40,000 (Mon - Thur) + 45,000 (Fri - Sun) equal to 85,000.
85,000 (weekly income) X 4 = 340,000.
So according to you you make/earn 340k monthly driving your own car and collect 140k as weekly rental from your other car on weekly rental making a total monthly income of 480,000 (340k + 140k) and you claim you want to quit Uber for a job paying you 180k a month.
Please sir, what are we missing?
Are your claims false or someone hacked your account Thank you my brother .. I just went back and I read one of his old post . He was saying guarantor is overrated, he is adding more cars to his fleet, he has cross that bridge before etc ..don't mind the guy.. He forgot that the internet never forgets ... |

timilehing: For drivers ranting about quitting Uber for a salary job, the best way to get a job is through e hailing. You drive a lot of people daily & meet new influential people with top positions. If I really need a salary job, I'll always have copies of my credentials in folders ready just in case!!! I've had a glimpse of hailing biz long before Uber (2009)but things were really difficult then cos every trip is offline and reference is the only way to get more trips. It is all easy now.
Do you know when people on salary start preparing for the day? Do you know when they return home daily? Do you know how much they spent on transportation? How much time do spent weekly in holdups? There's no freedom!!
Truth be told, 99% of car owners(driving themselves) here will reject a salary job below 300k In the western world it's called networking .. When you rich people or executives playing golf together ,what do you think they are doing ? Thank you my brother, you shall live long and healthy.. You will never bury any of your children.. When I try to think with an open mind on this forum, people think am crazy ..thank you brother for further explanation, I couldn't have come up with the way you presented the post .. |

medd422: Only take the advice of full time drivers not , not the ones that do it for fun. Positive vibes, can bring you positive people around you . Most times positive energy can also attract positive result.. It seems you don't like driving and because of that it is affecting where you need to be either in life or in your business.. Change your outlook on your job .. Do your job like you love it and you will never know where your luck might come from. This advice is also directed towards me too .. Sometimes I don't always remember to practice what I preach |
