What a lovely and touching story! It almost brought tears to my eyes too.

Meanwhile, my boy now wants me to stay at home. Though his sister is a bit understanding because she is older, but he is not seeing why I should go to work, when he is on holidays. I have tried explaining to him that I have to go to work so I could get money to pay his school fees and buy things for him, but he would have none of my excuses. Today, he proposed going to the office with me as an alternative.

My 3 year old, who will be 4 in September just ask me series of questions:
1. Do you know Gov. Ajimobi's house?
Me: Yes

2. Go and tell him to pay salaries- I'll go with you, he added.
Me: Okay

3. Tell him also to make water to come out of that place on the way to the Church (referring to the fountain at Total Garden roundabout)
Me: Okay

How do I get to the government house without being 'bounced'. He won't take that from me. He believes anything is possible and should happen now.

How's your 3 year old?

Let's share and have some fun.......

Questions for experts in the house:
1. How many AIG's of southern extraction did we have before PMB assumed office?
2. Can CP's or other low ranking officers be promoted directly to DIG's?
3. Have we been able to correct the post-civil war lopsidedness, especially as it concern Igbos?
4. When lopsidedness is alleged to have been perpetuated by the Executives, what role do southern governors and legislatures play in correcting perceived anomaly?

Addressing this matter based on issues and sound argument is saner and sensible!

CrimeCitadel Vs Arase! by Dsdada(op): 10:47am On Jul 01, 2016
source: http://punchng.com/arase-ordered-complainants-arraignment-contract-scandal/
The Managing Director of Citadel Oracle Concept Limited, Benjamin Joseph, has accused the immediate past Inspector- General of Police, Solomon Arase, of frustrating a case of fraud against some suspects. Joseph said Arase allegedly refused to release the case file to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions which had ordered the prosecution of the suspects in its legal advice. He said after the Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo, referred the case to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, the ex- IG, three days to his retirement, ordered that he (Joseph) should be arraigned on trumped-up charges. Joseph said his persecution started after he allegedly refused the plea of the former IG and the “powerful suspects” to take N10m as settlement for the case of fraud. Our correspondent learnt that Joseph’s company had been awarded a contract worth N216m by the Federal Inland Revenue Service on December 6, 2012. However, a syndicate reportedly approached Joseph, saying his company would not execute the contract, but that he would be paid N15m as settlement. Our correspondent was told that Joseph refused the offer, saying he preferred to lose the contract than accept the arrangement. He was reportedly told later that the contract had been awarded to another firm. However, nine months later, the FIRS was said to have accused Joseph’s company of “under-declaring” during an audit of its account. Our correspondent gathered that during an examination of documents, Joseph was told that the contract awarded to his company was actually executed in his company’s name and N216m paid into the company’s account. PUNCH Metro was told in the course of investigation, Joseph discovered that a fraudulent account had been opened in his company’s name, with his signature forged to perpetrate the crime. Our correspondent gathered that the names of those who opened the account were later discovered to be those of the suspected members of the syndicate. The group allegedly begged Joseph to collect N5.7m as settlement, which was later increased to N10m. Joseph told PUNCH Metro that he refused the offers because his company’s reputation was at stake over a project it did not execute. He said he had demanded a letter of apology and an indemnity from the suspects, but they refused, saying he should only take the money, assuring him that there would be no repercussions. The matter was said to have been taken to the Special Fraud Unit, Lagos, which then wrote the DPP for legal advice at the end of its investigation. Joseph said, “After the SFU concluded its investigation, it applied for a legal advice from the DPP, Lagos State. “When I, however, saw the way the matter was going, I wrote a protest letter to the then Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase, on July 3, 2014, and he asked that the case file be sent to him. “I later went to see him on the case, together with my lawyers, to explain my plight to him. “He said he had spoken with the suspects and they told him that they had offered me money, but I refused it. I said money was not my problem, but I just wanted to clear my name. He (Arase) said I should take the N10m and avoid trouble.” Joseph said he asked Arase to put it into writing that he was the one giving the instruction, adding that he declined the request. He explained that a few weeks later, the Investigating Police Officer assigned to handle the case in the office of the DIG, one Sergeant Dare Emmanuel, called sometime in March 2015, saying the DPP’s legal advice was out. He added that the legal advice, dated March 9, 2015, with file number DPP/ADV:1009/14, signed by one Muhammed Diri and addressed to the Officer-in-Charge, Special Enquiry Bureau, established a prima facie case of fraud, forgery, among others, against the suspects. Joseph said the IPO assured him that he had already drafted charges against the suspects based on the advice, adding that the case file would be transferred to the Ministry of Justice as soon as the DIG, Arase, gave his approval. PUNCH Metro was told that the IPO, however, did not get back to Joseph. As the case was going on, Arase was reportedly promoted to the post of the IG, and a new DIG, Dan Doma, assumed office. “In May, I went to Abuja and met with Doma over the case. After narrating everything to him, he called the IPO and recounted my story, which the IPO confirmed. “Doma stood up in anger and asked Emmanuel, ‘What is the case file still doing here?’ The IPO said it was because Arase had not given approval for the transfer of the case,” Joseph added. Our correspondent was told that the DIG ordered Emmanuel to take the case file to the Ministry of Justice and arraign the suspects the following morning, with an instruction to Joseph to report to him the following day if the order was not carried out. Joseph said he was, however, surprised when he got to the Force headquarters the following day and met the IPO in a sad mood. He said, “His eyeballs were red from crying. I asked him what the matter was and he said Arase invited him that morning and threatened to dismiss him for wanting to embarrass him. Emmanuel said he didn’t know how the ex-IG got to know about the decision of the DIG to transfer the case and arraign the suspects. “I couldn’t believe him, so I decided to see the DIG myself. I told the DIG what Emmanuel told me. He smiled and said the IG called him that morning over the matter, (saying) that I should hold on.” That week, Emmanuel was reportedly transferred to Kano State. Joseph said while returning to Lagos on a flight, he sent a text message to Arase to register his displeasure over the manner the case was being handled, adding that the ex- IG asked to see him three days later. However, it was learnt that Arase refused to see him when he returned to Abuja with his lawyers. The ex-IG was said to have asked him to conclude a civil suit he (Joseph) had instituted against the suspects before the criminal process would start. Our correspondent was told that Joseph had filed a civil suit on May 14, 2014 against the suspects, but the matter had yet to be heard due to preliminary objections and applications filed by the defence counsel. It was learnt that Joseph’s lawyers demanded that the case file be released to the DPP and when their appeals failed, a writ of Mandamus was filed before an FCT High Court, Abuja in July 2015. PUNCH Metro was told that the court had also yet to hear the case. Joseph said he engaged the ex-IG in another chat after he (Joseph) travelled to the US sometime in July 2015, saying his efforts were futile. He said in December, he was told that the ex-IG wrote the DPP that there was no need to send the case file again as the suspects had already been arraigned by the police. Joseph said, “I asked the DPP in Abuja to show me the case number the police were talking about. It turned out to be the case number of my civil suit, which had not been heard since 2014.” He said he wrote a letter to Vice-President, Osinbajo, on the matter, who then referred the case to the EFCC. A letter from the State House, Abuja, dated December 21, 2015 and signed by the Deputy Chief of Staff, Office of the VP, Ade Ipaye, stated in part, “I have been asked to inform you that your submission has since been forwarded to the EFCC for due consideration.” It was gathered that while the EFCC was inviting the parties for interrogation, Arase filed a charge against Joseph less than a week to his retirement. The charge, which was filed before an Abuja High Court, and served on Joseph on Thursday, June 16, 2016, is slated for hearing on Monday, June 27, 2016. The ex-IG, who retired on Tuesday, June 21, accused Joseph of lying that his signature was forged to open his account. PUNCH Metro learnt that the police based the charge on a forensic report from Lagos, dated March 12, 2014 and issued by one R.A. Onwuzuligbo. The report, which compared Joseph’s signature and the alleged forged signature, stated, “In my opinion, there are several features of similarity between questioned and standard signatures on documents marked appendix ‘X2-X3’ and ‘X1’.” However, another forensic report, by one ASP Reginald Udunze of the Nigeria Police Force, Forensic Section, Imo State, dated June 11, 2015, said, “The writer of the signature on the document dated June 20, 2008 and marked A3, did not sign the signature on the document marked A1-A2 (alleged forged document).” On the impending arraignment, Joseph wondered why he would forge his own signature to open an account in Ikoyi, Lagos, when he had two accounts already opened in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he was based. The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force, Abuja, Olabisi Kolawole, asked Joseph to face the police charge and clear his name. She said, “Though I am not privy to the details of this case, but if he has been asked to go and face a charge, then he should do so and clear himself. It means that is the outcome of police investigation into the case and he should not start finding faults. There have been cases where complainants became suspects.” The spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, promised to get back to our correspondent on the case, but he had yet to do so as of press time. Efforts to reach the immediate past IG, Arase, were abortive as he didn’t pick his calls or reply to a text sent to him on the matter

Some people are just too accustomed to being negative about any and everything - sports, politics, religion, tourism... Apart from the nightlife of a thing which I obviously don't know about, he was on point on the 6 other areas. Don't we have one of the most diverse culture as a nation? Aren't we resilient? Do you need a prophet to tell you that the more diverse the culture, the more diverse the Cusine? Aren't we blessed with abundant tourist destinations? I could go on and on... Now to other nations.... Have you heard that South Africa has one of the highest murder rates in the world. Are you aware that there are street beggars, pick-pockets, gangsters e.t.c. on the street of New York? India has one of the highest rural poverty rates in the world. Workers in China can hardly protest about wages or working conditions. Do we go to North Korea where the supreme leader-Kim Yong Un is revered as a god and yet tourist visit these countries/cities. Why do you think that the Department of State and the CIA have travel advice for countries of the world-Nigeria inclusive. Even if you are black-skinned, your mind needn't be black. Abi?!

@dada_rotimi
“God allows us the integrity to make our own choice and the responsibility to accept whatever may come as a result”
- J. Andrew Kirk
“The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought about progress”
- Charles Kettering
This is a sequel to my previous paper on Facebook, Nairaland and on my blog- www.rotimiayodejidada..com “WHY SHOULD A CHRISTIAN SUPPORT A ‘KNOWN MOSLEM FANATIC’’
I want begin by appreciating all those who made comments and shared my post on Facebook-especially those whose opinion were at variance with mine. One of the greatest beauties of life is the ‘OPPOSITE’. Imagine a world of blacks and whites, without other colours, or worse still, a world of ‘black’ alone or ‘white’ alone. ‘Opposite’ and ‘difference’ shouldn’t divide us, rather it should help us better understand that God created us uniquely. It is this uniqueness that brings out daintiness that is deeply embedded in the framework of our lives. Thank you all.
I was however a bit mystified by the facts that all those who were against the candidacy of GMB failed to address the salient issues I raised in my last discourse viz fairness and equity, weak leadership/incompetence and debt management. So I want to assume then that they all agree that my raison d'être were germane. Standing on this supposition, I want to conclude that the only thing they might have against GMB is his alleged religious bigotry. Some respondents to the piece on my Facebook page were altogether apathetic or completely docile on the subject of voting - by saying “may God chose for us”. We must not forget that God is sovereign and will never shirk his responsibility. It is therefore irresponsible to attempt to do what God should do and it is equally reckless to fail to do what God expects of us to do. I am not only going to vote for GMB, I’ll pray for him, campaign for him and contribute to his campaign fund (I am doing all these already). One way to demand for accountability from our leaders is to contribute to their emergence. One because it would be unjust to ask for justice that you did not contribute to (contribution in this case means voting for or against the emergence of a candidate and equally contributing through other means). Even if your preferred candidate fails to win in an election, you have at least satisfied your conscience that you played your part and contributed meaningfully to the electoral process. The second reason we must not become apolitical, is that you can’t determine what happens on a platform that you contributed nothing to.
Some others chose to play the Ostrich and invariably making themselves the religious bigot they claimed GMB is. They aver that Christians ought not to support a Muslim candidate. In my first script, I asked such persons if GEJ was a Christian. I am forced to ask same question again, is GEJ a Christian?............... How do we think that a Muslim should never lead a nation having about the same population of Muslims and Christians? If we love our fellow countrymen, shouldn’t we allow people of other faiths have the same opportunities we have if they are qualified? More to this is that many politicians who are in themselves ‘Wolves in Sheep clothing’ have used the platform of religion to steal people’s mandate. It is therefore imperative for electorates to check out the credentials of anyone asking for their votes. Does the man who claims to be a devotee of a particular religion possess qualities of a good leader? Is he forthright, sincere, incorruptible, consistent, and is he a strong leader or a weakling?
MARCH 28 is here
In asking for an extension of the time for election, the National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki claimed that 6 weeks was needed to allow the security agencies deal with boko-haram and we have seen such progress that were impossible in 6 years achieved in less than 6 weeks-call that a miracle!. These events have already gone into the annals of this beloved country of ours as a Presidential miracle or call it Abrakadabra of some sort.
I am now going to propound theories bordering on the crisis in the North-east - usually, theories begat inventions. For the records, these are just hypothesis and no one should ask me for any evidence. When March 28 is gone, we’ll take stock of the efficacy of my propositions!
Theory #1
GEJ knows nothing about book-haram, he was only unfortunate to have been at the helm of affairs when the onslaught of book-haram began. He could have been able to better handle the situation, but saboteurs, bad advisers, members of book-haram in his cabinet and the opposition made it impossible for him. But now we are recording huge successes because all the aforementioned hurdles have been surmounted in just 5 weeks!
Theory #2
GEJ knew nothing about boko-haram. However, seeing they existed, he looked for means of deliberately allowing them to fester-if by any means it could help him cancel-out the number of votes that would accrue to the opposition in the North-East(traditionally, the North-East is home to the opposition). In this theory, measures like ill-equipping the military, allowing POW escape (mysteriously), refusing to prosecute/diligently prosecute suspected boko-haram members, e.t.c. were employed.
Theory #3
GEJ knew nothing about boko-harm, but saw in them a potential useful for his selfish gain. He then recruited them and some others of like mind (someone once said that we have many types of boko-haram- Economic, Political and Religious). This theory assumes that in this present situation, an admixture of the three aforementioned types of boko-haram, with possibly a fourth and a fifth is being employed.
Theory #4
GEJ knows nothing about boko-haram. However, gross incompetence, massive corruption, ethnic chauvinism allowed boko-haram become more relevant than her sister group Maitasine. He probably would have been able to stem the tide, but that was not possible due to the docility and indifference which is characteristically a common denomination of his (mal)administration.

CONCLUSION
As I conclude this sequel, I’ll like to appeal to all my readers to give GMB/PYO a chance to prove their mettle. Like I said in my first article, one of my motivations for supporting GMB has to do with the fact that I have given GEJ a fair chance when I was on his side in 2011, I did so because I thought to give him an opportunity to prove his worth-‘after all, he had no shoes’. However, GEJ has shown me that he could not be trusted with my mandate and naturally I should give another person same (equal) opportunity. I am now determined to allow GMB show me what he is capable of doing as a democrat and I want you to please join me on March 28th, 2015 to do the needful by voting for GMB.
Thank you.
God bless Nigeria!

WHY SHOULD A CHRISTIAN SUPPORT A ‘KNOWN MOSLEM FANATIC’
By @dada_rotimi

‘We don’t know whether if we change, things will improve; but for things to improve we must change’.
- Sir Winston Churchill, former British PM

Before I begin my little essay, I’ll like to say that I do not in any way think that my opinion is sacrosanct. Neither do I pretend that everyone will align with my line of thought. Again, one of my core values in life is the belief that people have a right to their own opinion and no one owes me an explanation for rejecting my honest and sincere advice – even if they will suffer severe consequences for refusing my counsel.
Finally before I go on, the purpose of this piece apart from sharing my opinion with the public is to help the undecided. I am not unconscious of the fact that many having decided for GEJ, even if you give them a sound reason to think otherwise, they a likely to ‘stick to their guns’ – I also respect their right to make a choice, however cantankerous I think they are.

INTRODUCTION
One issue I think I should address in my preparatory remark is the fear that Buhari will Islamize Nigeria. I’ll begin by saying that I am a Christian and my furthermost desire is that all men should come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am absolutely persuaded that Jesus is the one and only way to God. Again, I cannot pretend not to be conscious of an ostentatious plan to Islamize Nigeria through multiplicity of means – some ‘noble’ some others ‘ignoble’. To drive home my point, this plan was not suddenly drawn when GEJ became president. However, as expected it is being appraised and re-appraised episodically. It is also common knowledge that some northern religious, political and traditional rulers aided and abated the scourge of Boko-Haram through their actions or inactions – some of them have paid dearly for this. In addition, the attacks of Boko-Haram affected Northern Christians and Christian communities in the North - who are in the minority, far more than Moslems and Moslem communities in the same region (for example, over 80% of the Chibok School girls are Christians). Hence, the fear by some that the crisis of Boko-Haram is being used to systematically Islamize the north and by extension, Nigeria is not an illusion. Let me point out that naturally, an average Moslem will be happy and support a Moslem candidate and an average northerner will do same for his brother; this is also generally true with Christians and Southerners. However, this does not necessarily translate to ‘my brother who will help in Islamizing Nigeria has arrived’ to all Moslems.

Transition from GEJ to GMB
In 2011 I was on the side of GEJ, so was my wife and my brothers. Now we all have switched camps. Why should Christians leave a ‘Christian brother’ and choose to support a ‘known Moslem fanatic’? To begin with, going to Church, praying in Jesus’ name, bearing a ‘Christian name’ doesn’t make a man a Christian. Being a Christian begins with recognition of the sinful nature of man, the inability of man to save himself from sin, the offer of God to save man through Jesus Christ and ultimately the acceptance of Jesus as a personal Lord and Saviour. Secondly, a Christian lives the life of Christ. He can be said to be Christ-like. Anyone who does not follow the life and teachings of Christ cannot be said to be a Christian. I’ll leave my readers to decide for themselves whether GEJ is a Christian or not and by extension if he can use the ‘I am a Christian’ appellation to canvass for votes. However, I sincerely do not think that the candidature of GEJ will in any way help in ‘Christianizing’ Nigeria; rather, his candidature has helped more in ‘Islamizing’ Nigeria, chiefly because of his incompetence. Again, I dare say that no one can Islamize Nigeria. The history of the Church of Jesus Christ is replete with examples of what made the Church to lose out in certain regions of the world. A Church driven by worldliness and materialism like we are seeing in Nigeria is a fertile ground for Islamization. When issues having to do with money becomes more important to the Church than the peril of Christ-less souls; you can only expect people to look elsewhere. For the records, persecution and threat to ‘Unchristian’ a people has never been a threat to the expansion of the frontiers of the kingdom of God. The Church has always come out of persecution chaste and strong. We must not give a wrong impression to the Bokos, that they can achieve their goals through violence and forced conversion. Rather, the body of Christ must remember that persecutions cannot be separated from a true Christian experience. In the end those who claim to be Christians and are not are the engine room of the livid propaganda that GMB will Islamize Nigeria. It is gratifying to know that God is not a respecter of persons and with or without the opinion of some supposed ‘men of God’, his determined counsel cannot be thwarted by money, propaganda, character assassination and whatever tool will be employed to discredit the candidature of GMB.

I will now enumerate below my reason for supporting GMB against GEJ in February 14 elections

1. FAIRNESS AND EQUITY
Whilst I am aware that some people supported GEJ in 2011 for no dignified reason, I strongly believe that some others like me did so for a ‘just’ cause. I supported GEJ then because ‘he had no shoes’ and I felt like for once, someone who could share and relate with the pains and sufferings of ordinary Nigerians has come. I also supported him because his story offered the ordinary citizen a shufti of hope that every height was attainable-even when one is apparently underprivileged. Finally, there was so much pressure from the north on their desire to have a Northern President. They gave an impression that the President must come from the North (– this reason is now being used as a form of misinformation against GMB and the APC). This was added to the fact that during the period of Yaradua’s incapability, nobody wanted GEJ to be near the Presidency. Therefore, I said to myself, “we will prove this people wrong”- and I think we did! Rising from this last point, I am resolute that Nigeria is not all about GEJ; if GEJ has had six uninterrupted years of being the charge-de-affairs, it is only fair for GMB to be given a chance to run the Presidency democratically. If we have seen all that a democratically elected GEJ could offer in six years, it’ll be equitable to give GMB an opportunity that a four-year democratic tenure offers too.

2. WEAK LEADERSHIP/INCOMPETENCE
I am a firm supporter of a strong leadership. A leader that is ingenious, whose idea about nationhood and leadership is original, however awful, is always better that a leader that depends on ‘kitchen cabinet’ of some sort and supposedly astute men to form his judgment. A case in point is the Chibok Girls kidnap. Permit me to make my point clear by asking these questions:

i. Was the president informed on the hour that these girls were kidnapped?
ii. If he was, why did he not act promptly?
iii. If indeed as the president was alleged to have been made to accept as true, the girls were not kidnapped, why didn’t the president send a dispatch party to Chibok to verify the genuineness or otherwise of the kidnap?
iv. If the president’s daughter was among the kidnapped and he was made to believe that the opposition was behind it, would he have done nothing immediately he heard? – If your enemy raises an alarm that your house was on fire, would you dismiss it as a prank or promptly validate his claims?
v. What prevented the president from visiting Chibok for an on-the-spot assessment? Was he afraid for his life? Couldn’t he have employed the avalanche of state security apparatus at his disposal to visit the hurting and the bereaved? Couldn’t he have visited the place and returned secretly? - A standard practice employed in other parts of the world where the visit of a President to a war zone is a risk is to pay an unscheduled/secret visit. Such visits have been known to bolster the confidence of officers and men.
So these girls were kidnapped and the President did nothing when it was sensible to act. Rather, he sacrificed girls who don’t belong to any political party on the altar of politics, thereby foreclosing any hope that one of them could be a President in the future.
Another area where weakness in leadership has been exhibited by the President is the Pension Fund scam and Petroleum product subsidy scam.
i. What has become of Mr. Abdulrasheed Maina and his cohorts who chose to steal from the pension of millions of powerless Nigerians?
ii. If he has escaped to UAE-as some claim- why hasn’t he been extradited?
iii. Is it that the instrument of State cannot be maximally used to protect the weak and vulnerable
iv. Does the government have a detailed and verifiable account of the Subsidy programme?
v. How did the amount spent on subsidy increase astronomically during GEJ’s government? Can we infer that every Nigerian now own an automobile?

One last example is the debacle we are experiencing in the power sector. While I do not have anything against Prof. Chinedu Nebo, the experience of having GEJ as President has re-enforced my belief that a good intension is never enough in the place of leadership. Before Prof. Bart Nnaji was fired as the Minister of power, we were almost generating 5000MW and somehow Mr. President was made to believe that he must be sacked. Ever since he has been relieved, we’ve been going from bad to worse. Power generation is now probably less that 2000MW (compare South Africa with a population of 60 million generating about 40,000MW).
This weakness in leadership is largely responsible for some of the challenges we are facing as a people. The President is aware that Boko-Haram members have infiltrated his government and does nothing about it. He is probably aware that high-level corruption is crippling the Military and by extension, the prosecution of the war against Boko-Haram too. When the leadership at the centre is perceived to be weak, the heart of corrupt minded individuals is fully set on corrupt practices. Don’t forget that the leader might not benefit directly or indirectly from corruption. However, when his body language suggests that he doesn’t ‘give a damn’, hell is let loose.

3. DEBT MANAGEMENT
OBJ transverse the globe campaigning and pleading for debt forgiveness; he did this probably because he understood that however rich you are, once you are debtor, your debt reduces your wealth. Somehow, we are so to say ‘back to zero point’ ‘as a dog to its vomit’-whatever happened to us. Presently, the volume of foreign and domestic debt is alarming to say the least. My worry is how the DMO was able to convince Mr. President that ‘we are on-top of the situation’. It also baffles me that the same NOI who was OBJ’s chief economic advisor in his drive for debt forgiveness is still in GEJ’s chief economic advisor-now with an additional ‘title’ – the Coordinating Minister of the Economy and GEJ couldn’t spot the difference. Couldn’t she have been relieved of her appointment and bogus portfolio? How do we move forward by going backwards? Did OBJ sack NOI towards the end of his tenure for the same reason? How do we go back to our creditors for a second dose of debt cancellation in less than 20 years?

CONCLUSION
As I conclude, I’ll like to say that I have never met GMB or GEJ in person, and I will not destroy relationships/friendship I have cultivated over the years because of anyone of them. This is partly responsible for my refusal to trade words with some of my friends concerning the candidature of GMB or my desire for a change in the party ruling Nigeria. My support for GMB and APC is not a blind one. While I understand that it will be an uphill task for anyone who becomes the President come May 29, 2015, I won’t turn a blind eye just because ‘my party’ did wrong. I will withdraw my support from any party that fails to perform and give it to another party (even if it is PDP) - as long that I am convinced that we will have a better deal. As I am anti-PDP and anti-Jonathan now, so will I be pro-PDP if in my own opinion, they measure up to my expectations.
I welcome all shades of criticism and comments, especially from those who won’t agree with me.

SAI BUHARI!
GOD BLESS NIGERIA!

FeeDeeFee of course!
olapluto:
Anyone who knows Ibadan well knows that the areas mentioned are PDP strongholds. Also, considering that Ajimobi from day 1 has dissociated himself from violence, I have no doubt this is a PDP thing. Ajimobi has managed Oyo security challenges for over 3 years, even chasing the NURTW thugs underground. its election time, we know the party that brings the thugs back to life.

op, it appears you're a clown.

Does the absence of Security Men on our high ways signify activeness and efficacy in the part of the IG?
If I'm asked, it's a big risk that shouldn't be considered at all.

If not for the seeming improved standard of living, don't you know that our roads will be flooded right about now by theives and other social marauders giving the festive months ahead?

He should be chided for subjecting the country's citizens to the peril of attacks and not lauded in any way.
policing is much more than setting up road blocks and collectin #20 all in the name of apprehending criminals. There is nothing wrong in having a 24-hours police patrol and not terrorising inoccent and law-abiding citizens.

I travelled Ibadan to Lagos yesterday to attend an exhibition at the International Conference and Exhibition Centre of Eko Hotels, Lagos and there wasn't a single Police checkpoint on the road. It was like, maybe on my way back I would see them. 'unfortunately' I saw no Police checkpoint. Can we conclude that probably, the new Police IG is serious?

Sometimes i just wonder if it is still possible for us to move forward as a nation. If the aviation minister cannot be held responsible for a leaking airport terminal roof, who then should be held responsible? When yitsak rabin, then prime minister of israel was killed by an israeli, both the head of military and state intelligence resigned. Was is their responsibility? Yes! Were they supposed to personally secure the prime minister? No! Should we then hold our hon minister of aviation responsible for the leaking terminal roof? Yes,if we intend to move forward. No,if want to remain where we are.
