All those saying, baseje, Ota aje etc cursing the guy. Read again. He said they will sell to those that buy steel to make toys out of it. Still a way of generating revenue and enhancing the poor.

That is a nice move. Lovely. It's not the government's money so, selling the cars to generate revenue is another way of encouraging the act

selling it to steel companies that would buy it at less than 10% of the value of the car. lol no matter how you look at it those cars would still generate revenue for the government esp from taxes. the multiplier effect if accounted for can create jobs. most of you clamouring for buhari to be like this guy, we
hen he barred importation of some goods you all were shouting that he is making the country harsh and unbearable. FYI by the time Rodrigo leaves power he would have utterly devastated Philippines, am sure his people would rate him in the class of Marcos for the devastation unleashed

bros let us call a spade, a spade . what the police did was bad, but why go to the extent of burning down the vehicles. People living in Benin know that those vehicles are few. I am not saying that the policemen should go scot free but rather they should have dealt with the policemen rather than the vehicles

price range of the new air force 1( 747-8 series) is over $370 million and that is not adding all the special retrofitting then the price dramatically increases. for example to change the chilling system i.e refrigerator cost the u.s.a $24million

Pls spare me....
Prisoners break free from prison despite high walls n heavily armed security personnel.....
Kidnap victims do escape from their kidnappers despite the AK-47 n whatever....
It's the will to get things done that matters...
That will is lacking in the black man....
He succumbs to servitude easily......
He bows down to superior power quicker than expected...
He behaves like a woman in the face of sustained oppression.....
Crying n wailing, hoping for a saviour to end his suffering....
I've seen videos of these slave camps....
Nothing special....
Just some bunch of horrible looking Arabs holding hostage, sheepishly smiling black Africans who are hoping to be treated favourably by their captors....

And yeah...
A living dog is better than a dead lion.....
That's if the dog don't end up dead itself, sooner than expected...
because nobody has time for a fearful dog......

stop generalizing and yeah all those escapes you are talking about, do we not regularly see them in Nigeria. slavery is not necessarily physical but the breaking down of a person mentally and psychologically. even you that is commenting can be broken down to become a slave. my guy go through that situation and fight back not coming online and commenting.

You may be wrong. No one likes being put in a constant state of servitude without a superior coercion in play used in ensuring submission. You are only seeing the video of the 'slaves' being tortured, but cannot see the AK 47, Kalashnikovs etc surrounding these guys. You might want to throw the 'they should die bravely' card cos it's easy to say from the comfort of your home and phone keypads. You absolutely have no clue what it is like to be enslaved. Your eagerness to comment on things you have no clue on is one of the reasons 'African countries are at the bottom...' not cos of your bogus hasty generalization.

thank you. what those commenting up there do not realise is that those guys have been broken mentally and psychologically. they would have to deal with that before "living free or die"

Some people are very funny. To all those people saying catholics are worshiping idol, this and that. My assignment for you is to attend catholic church on Sunday and also sit at the back sit.
Now go there for observation. Observe all they do till the mass is ended.
Then go home, compare what other people or what they have been saying about catholics to what you have observed.

After this,i hope you will know the truth.

No need blasting, saying soughts of nonsense.

thankyou bros. I am so tired of convincing people about Catholicism. funny enough most of those they describe as the true churches do not follow Jesus teaching. I was born a catholic in fact I am a third generation catholic family which converted from islam and I've attended several pentecostal churches and their common theme is prosperity preaching, and hardly preach Jesus core message of salvation, forgiveness, love and peace whereas Catholic church preaches this core message with hardly any prosperity preaching. Apart from that the church is always involved in charity and they do not use it to play to the gallery. my parish always gives money for housing, feeding, medicine through the Vincent de por outreach. They even offer scholarships yet they do not use it as a ploy to win more members. catholic church also envangalizes heavily. they do it through different outreaches, they go regularly to prisons and villages to win souls.

Dsov I love our country EXTREMELY! But what he said is the truth. Nigeria is a fucking shit hole! We must make our leaders stand up or we must become the new leaders and make the change. Nigerian politicians have robbed at least 5 generations to come of the opportunity for a good life. Let's see if we can salvage future for those after us. I live in the US and here a lot of Nigerians are living much better than the whites. I have promised myself that I will follow the example of Innoson motors and a lot of strong entrepreneurs in Ogun State. My resources will be spent developing profitable businesses which create jobs in my state and my first business will be in my village. Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Nigerians must begin to reason like that. We also need new cities. When one man builds in one area that is good others follow. We should also go for planned residential and industrial infrastructural development. We can do it together.

of course. what i am saying is if u denigrate/criticise then u should proffer a solution. as the saying goes if u are not part of the solution u re part of the problem. look at Sudan just because of the increase in bread price u could see the protest or in Tunisia where protest is going ng on due to austerity measures. yet here in Nigeria if I decide to hold an anti corruption protest most of my fellow protesters would have been swayed by cash(it happened during protests in Edo state about BEDC).
I remember watching an Indian film where unemployed engineering graduates got together and floated an engineering company which developed public works and made profits with it . I know its a film but just for a second imagine if the engineering graduates in Nigeria band together and do this not just them but computer science or the lawyers and others just imagine, the key to unlocking this our great countries destiny is in we - the youths hand if we just get up and stop our whining. You and other look at this country as a shithole but I and like minded individuals look at it and see a great empire a land filled with milk and honey with a great and strong people a land with the capability to become an ever near utopia or as close as one can get to such in this mortal realm. We just need to dig into that well of courage. Groups like SERAP and BUDgit have lit the path but what do we all do with this knowledge they provide for us - NOTHING. If other Nigerians can go a step further for instance budgit tracks the disparity input budget but we go farther and as well intentioned Nigerians crackdown where they hid this money then others take the step to retrieve it. At the long run the leaders will realise it is not worth the stigma to steal what would soon be recovered and that they would not enjoy it. we each have a responsibility not just to ourselves but future generations yet unborn to forge this country into a great nation so. that posterity would note us as having tried our best

Anything that will make Africans wake up and have sense is welcomed!

We Africans need to wake up and surprise the world like China.

Nigeria ought to lead that way...Nigeria need to lead other black African nations to light and let the world celebrate us for once cry cry

Don't blame Trump, if u were in his shoes, u would hate Africans, everything about Africa is bad.
We and MiddleEast are now the headquarters of barbarism; from Islamic terrorists from Middle east, north Africa, and Nigeria (Book Haram & Fulani herdsmen), to political corruption, government looting, tribalism, ethnic cleansing, generational poverty and what have you.

What good is Africa to the rest of the world

We flood Europe, America, etc, thereby destabilizing their economy instead of fighting our useless governments to fix our nations and make our nations okay for us to stay back, we prefer to flee from our problem only to come back to them later, its a shame

and the funny thing about ur post is that all these has and is happening in the west. does that make them shitholes too. my friend emancipate itself from your very ignorant pre conceived notions

Meaning non- oil producing countries are not supposed to access electricity. Please bro let us stop soliciting for our lame government since first republic.

Politics / Re: Police Declare Yusuf Binji, BUA Cement MD Wanted Over Attack On Obaseki’s Convoy by Dsov2016: 1:56pm On Jan 05, 2018
analystben:

No Arrest Warrant for BUA MD says Police HQ
The Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja has denied issuing a warrant of arrest for the Managing Director (MD) of BUA’s Obu Cement Company, Engr. Yusuf Binji.
The Force Public Relations Office (FPRO) Jimoh Moshood who spoke in a telephone interview on Thrusday night said there was no directive to arrest Engr. Binji describing the news as mischievous and an attempt to drag the name of the Nigeria police through the mud.
It would be recalled that the Special Adviser on Media to the Edo State Government, Crusoe Osagie, had on Thursday issued a malicious press release saying the Police has issued a warrant of arrest for the MD alleging that he (Binji) perpetuated an attack on the convoy of Governor Godwin Obaseki after his visit to Okpella. This revelation by the Police puts the Media aide's wild allegations to question.
Meanwhile, a former aide to the Government House has revealed a plan to discredit BUA Group and disrupt its operations in the State.
The source who pleaded anonymity said the State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has been under serious pressure to act fast on the lingering Mining dispute between BUA Group and Dangote Group. He said the arrest warrant was a charade to deceive the public and get sympathy for actions against BUA Group who has an ultra-modern USD$1.2billion dollars investment in the state.
According to him, “You and I know the whole government coming into the dispute is planned. And the plan is to force BUA out of business or frustrate them just like others. I wouldn’t want to mention names but we know them and we know they are champions of certain companies who just seek to remain sole cement producers in the market.
“In fact it will shock you to know that yesterday’s convoy attack was stage played just like they have faked many other things in the past that I wouldn’t want to mention. You know Obaseki is a businessman, he knows what he is doing and I can tell you, he doesn’t care if BUA has over USD$1.2billion investments in the state or not, he wants Dangote in and to do that, he must act the script perfectly.
“So I am not surprised. He is busy calling for investors yet the ones in his state, he is fighting, what then is he encouraging in this hostile business environment he is creating for Edo state? For me, I see the action of the government in taking sides as playing the master’s script and it is bad for the business and economy of the country and also flies in the face of the Ease of doing business policy of Buhari's government“.

pls under which administration did that aide serve

lol most arsenal fans would not understand the loyalty arsenal board has for this man and why they would refuse to sack him. you guys do realise arsenal was in debt after building Emirates, so the board then had to choose b/w concentrating on paying the debt or winning trophies, I believe u know which decision was taken. that's why they sold all their top players and why Wenger priorities on cheap, youth players whom they can build up and make profit on when sold than experienced, expensive players.

Agriculture / Re: Rice Production In Nigeria Hits 15 Million Tonnes — Official by Dsov2016: 3:40pm On Jan 03, 2018
Ratello:

I think this is the correct analysis;

15 million tonnes is equivalent to 15 billion kilograms which when divided by 50 (standard bag of rice measure of 50kg) will amount to 300 million bags of rice.

Using 200 million as our populations, that is 75kg bag of rice (that is one 50kg and one 25kg bags of rice) for each Nigerian.....kai this is hilarious!

wrong calculation a tonne of milled rice is approximately 650kg that is 13bags of 50kg rice. according to the report, that means Nigeria produced 195,000,000 bags of 50kg rice. wow, local rice no fit drop to 5000naira with this oversupply. even ungraded foreign rice goes for around 8300naira on the international market
