Hypocrisy spotted in 5D! Since you talked about jobs, let's examine the medical sector which is my constituency.
Do you know how many jobs will be created if you have at least two primary and at least one secondary health centre in each LGA? Do you know how many lives will be bettered health wise in terms of quick attention, efficient handling of emergencies, number of jobs created etc?
Rather than pursue this, my president & some Inappropriately privileged persons(you know those am talking about-most of whom occupy certain "chambers", some others parading as pregnant men) wil board the next available flight for an inconsequential headache!
I can bet a quarter of my next salary on the fact that your LGA has no health center whatsoever, yet you are quick to jump in the defense of this hypocritical, heartless & irresponsible government.

Dude people like u are the reason why Nigerians are scared to go to hospitals because from the way u are writing I know u are a half baked individual.let me ask u what is ur contribution to the medical sector. People like u have made a mockery of the health sector u shout about building health centre but when its up most of u will run away and go to the city or private hospitals to go and work or if possible travel abroad for high paying jobs forgeting us Hippocratic oath. Go to Sabongida ora and look at how one man has been shouting that the government built an ultra modern hospital with high tec equipment but doctors will refuse to work there because they feel it is not lucrative. Come to my own area here in Benin a medical doctor at UBTH would always come to his private hospital which was built by his friend and stay there refusing to go to his work. His tretments are always so expensive and most of the drugs he uses re from Ubth stock and are horribly expensive. My friend I know how much the health sector is corrupt. Just the other day while picking up my uncle corpse from the mortuary of a church owned hospital, a woman who was bleeding heavily from child birth was refused admission which I believe was due to lack of funds. No amount of pleading by her aged mother could get her admitted and they just stood there we all watched her give up the ghost in a parking lot. That was the day I learnt not only are politicians monstrous we the citizens and so called downtrodden are much more monstrous. Its only in Nigeria u will hear that medical staffs re going on strike Hippocratic oath be damned.they should all be tried for attempted and successful mass murder That's why I will continue to say we all are hypocrites, but u sir I believe are the worst of all. U noticed this and am sure u have been on nairaland for a while why don't u use it or gofundme to start getting funds to do the health centre us proposing why not go online to shame the government into doing his by having people contribute to the goal of building health centers.if u had done economics then u will know that there re scarce resources to fulfill human needs but human wants are infinite ur smart figure it out.

My friend.. Charity begins at home... Tell that your president to improve on our health sector so that he won't have to take all our money to another country only to become a vegetable.... After he has shown an example... Then you can begin to talk to other citizens... Until then he and his confused toy of a government should bury their heads in shame.

The same charity u are talking about should also be reciprocated by the same celebrities. After all tekno was sick he went to the us, one of the psquare brother's also had his wife deliver abroad. Like I said u are all talking from emotions u all should use ur head for once. When and I mean when one of u gets the opportunity to seek medical treatment or to go on vacation I know u will all run abroad like the buhari u are accusing . u all are just a bunch of aggrieved hypocrites

Eko also means Farm in the native Awori dialect.
the bini camp was set up in modern day Enuwa, which is behind Idumota. the whole area used to be Farmlands for the Awori Idejo chiefs

so many times did Akure defeat bini in battle and force Bini troops back home

see illiterate. Abbysinia is not a popular kingdom? Netherland is not a popular kingdom(still existing), Denmark, Spain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, etc are all popular kingdoms

a typical bini ignoramus only knows Bini and Britain

Benin never need Ed to conquer akure as they were allies as far as I know. Idanre was a major camp for benin warlords in1800s from where they launched an incursion and defeated and found many towns

Ado-ekiti was founded as one of the original 16 crowned kingdoms in the late 13th century/early 14th century. It's origins go straight to Ife
Bini never controlled Efon -Alaaye.

Idiot read well benin sacked Eton alaye around 1820- 1840 . ado ekiti was founded by omumu. I know my history and you do not . ado is the yoruba( akure) corruption of Edo. Intact this ur history you are quoting were are u from I know I am descended from the opposing side. When the people who know history tell u u say it is a lie and listen to perverted stories.

If they want to leave let hem leave. What the government said is a step in the right direction. Imagine the number if jobs this could create. This was what I was just discussing with someone few weeks ago, even adverts meant for Nigerian goods and cosumption are being short in foreign countries. Just sit and don't be blinded by your emotions and think, just think of how many jobs can be created. The FG could have made it bad by imposing huge taxes on videos shot abroad

Wow.

The Binis are creative.
Too bad the great wall is gone....but they've replaced it with Calabashes of sacrifice.

From Upper Sakponba, to Ikpoba Slope,
From Ekiadolor to Isiohor,
From Uselu to Ekenwan
From Aduwawa to Ugbor
From Upper Mission to Agbor Park to Akpakpavwa

Every junction is adorned with these festish sacrifices.

They are the only tribe in Nigeria not to completely let go of tradition.

No matter how born-again, spirit-filled they may be, they totally adhere to their traditions and superstitious beliefs.
They respect the Oba so much that they can't even turn down his request if he asks to shag their wife.

Nor allow me curse u o. If u allow me ur brain go reset.

Ah ah. This Benin people can lie en!
I don't think you guys know what 16,000 kilometers is sha. Measure Nigeria from the north to the south and from the west to the east. It's not even up to your made up number. Morealso, you guys said it's 4 times the wall of China. Ah ahhhh! Fear God now. Is the wall underground or is it spiritual as always? You may want to say "blah blah blah Benin empire almost covered the whole Africa." Fùck that!!!

No matter how ruined the wall has become, even if it has been ruined for 100 years, there will still be paths and evidences of it's existence. Kindly come and show us Biko.
Una too dey lie abeg.

If the so claimed Benin Empire was so great. How come you guys are so little now en?
You guys claimed to once be an empire but you currently only occupy one small state that is a little bit bigger than Ibadan. Where did the empire go? Or were you guys divided like a cake?

You also always claim Yoruba was under your empire before. Let's do the math pls. How come Yoruba has 6 and a half states and you guys can only boast of one?
We ve heard it a million times that you once conquered lagos blah blah blah but what happened? Awwww! Now i know. You guys lost the precious Lagos right? But come to think of it. How?

Lastly. If you guys were that progressive during your Benin Empire Bullshít era. Why are your towns and even your cities still acient? Still stuck to the old ways and stuff.
Don't get fussy about this. Answer the questions or else no assholé should quote me.

Do not let we benin people bring to u wat made the biafran soldiers run away from those towns and cities u called old with very big blokos. The simple reason is wars. Do you seriously think. Then u will know that several benins were killed during the British invasion.

4. The british never fought benin, they simply conqured it. It is on record that only the Igbos and Lagosian fought the british

I don tire sef. I no get energy wer I get before

Anyway keep deceiving yourself

Thunder fire u. Benin was an empire with the capital being the current benin city. It had controlled vast stretches of land up to benin republic and up to cameroon . in the 15th century, it fought to protect its northern borders against the fulanis (bringing this up so u can determine how far into the north its borders were) . around the 12th to 15th century the benin people moved its capital to its fortress city(benin). Unlike the other kings who bear oba, the benin had a system similar to the imperial roman empire with its system of several city states who pay allegiance and loyalty to one king the oba. If not for the useless British colonist, u would have known that during the mid 19th century to the of the punitive expedition the oba had sent his powerful warlords to ekiti to put down insurrection against the benin empire by (ogedengbe of illesha)people of ekiti extraction. It was these warlords Omumu who sacked Efon alaye and married the daughter to his son balogun asa(bor) . it was them who founded ado ekiti, igbara one, ilara, ogburugbura e.t.c . I know this because my great grandfather was the captain of the army and later became the main warlord. Pls stop saying nonsense u do not know before ur utterances awaken what u do not want.
Have u ever being to benin, then u will know how large the walls we're. The signs of how big the Walls were can be seen from the moat which was excavated to build it. He Benin's fought but it was a short battle because of how surprising the attack came. Even with the surprise ask any body vast in history about asoro and they will tell u that though he fell, how many British soldiers he took with him with just bow and arrow and how it made people name a hill after him. Most of the benin u see today is modern construction because a cannon was fired into benin and benin of then was razed down by fire. O HOW I WOSH HISTORY WAS BEING TAUGHT SO OUR PEOPLE WILL NOT WALLOW IN THIS STUPID IGNORANCE. It is on record that the benin most and some existing fragments of the wall is a UNESCO heritage site

i dont think your mumu have done.you are a nigeria no problem with that, as for me am a biafran.you are complaining about how our leaders are pocketing the money they were been given for the state, have you ever ask yourself why they can easily get away with it,ok you want the masses to go after them as how or with which power.can someone steal the public found in china and go free, how can you be doing same thing and expecting different results.then i have this question for you that if you are nwa afo because some people are now claiming igbo just to make a point, from 1970 till date can you tell me what the federal government has done for east.after bombarding our land destroyed everything we have killing over 5 million of our people mostly women and children, they seized our properties outside east, seized our money given only 20 pounds to some nomatter how much you have.what do your mind tell you when the nigeria seized properties and money of starving people, did they wish us to survive,if not God do you think there will be somebody like me and you(that is if you are Igbo).since then are we not trying to make nigeria one but instead they see us as slaves.tell me why we should continue be in the same country.what about the triple R (RRR) they promise us after the war.let me tell you the main problem of nigeria is not the leaders or the masses ,the main problem is we dont share the same value system, and is only those that share same value system that can makes a better Country, the way you think (that is if you are igbo)is not they way hausa man think, the way hausa man think is not the same way yoruba man think. Thanks.but always remember the igbo adage that says that "a person people rejected can not reject his/her self "

Oga shut up there , my grandfather was in charge of Midwestern rehabilitation and reconstruction committee. The triple r was there for any igbo who wanted it. He toured war front, and even endured threats to life from ur war commanders. He was the one who refused to surrender a mere civilian while ejoor was shaking, infact it was from his house the plan for resistance of Benin was drawn, he lost his adopted son during the bombing of Niger bridge up till date no corpse was retrieved for burial, upon all these he still served his best in triple R but the problem was that Igbo's refused to return for their properties and some people started claiming their properties my grandfather had to prosecute his in law for claiming possession of atanker that belonged to an Igbo man who did not return. If u doubt me I will provide documents. I think the problem is that some of u biafran agitators is that u believe that it is only ur people who suffered or lost loved ones. There is a reason why Gowon said no victor no vanquished
Politics / Re: The Problem With My Igbo Brothers by Dsov2016: 12:45am On Jun 10, 2017
To the op may God continue to bless you and keep you alive. This is what I have been saying, this problem as you have identified them is not only limited to the S/E but all of Nigeria.
In truth all regions in this country have been marginalised by our politicians, look at them they become richer having cornered the resources while the masses have become poorer. They have turned the masses into slaves.
For instance the coal found in Nigeria is one of if not the best found in the world due to its low sulphur content and it is found mostly in Enugu, it is on wikipedia that the expatriate miners left during the civil war and these mines have stopped production since then. Believe u me some people are quietly making money thru there.
that was how a jv to search for uranium in nigeria , the search was successful instead some leaders took money and went to start prospecting for uranium in guinea. This and many more are located on wikipedia
the problem with most nigerians or so called biafrans is that they lack foresight. Is it in the present world situation that we should be thinking of secession. Most of the countries worldwide are becoming increasingly insular and nationalistic. Is it now that most countries are chanting that outsiders should get out of their countries that Nigeria and indeed Africa should face this problem.
Until we realise that the only people we have are our fellow Africans and unite that we will move toward. Go out of Africa today and then you will see cooperation b/w every African irrespective of religion, nationality, and ethnicity. It is us against the world, I would not be surprised that nnamdi kanu is being supported behind the scene and through numerous proxies by some western governments and wealthy foreigners for the purpose of causing instability in the region due to some precious resources(this would not be a new tactic).
People like reno omokri, ffk and some IBO leaders would continue to support kanu and his ilk so that their status quo can remain the same. They would rather cause the death of nigerians than let themselves be brought to book for their crimes. The IBO youths and indeed all of Nigerians are goi ng the wrong way and allowing kanu's message of hate to fester indeed it is opening the wounds of yesteryears rather what we need is for all of to join together and bring a revolution in all aspects in this country. We need to revolt against the status quo, against people of the likes of omokri and his ilk against people like akpabio, tinubu, igbinedion,Kalu ,amaechi etc who have stolen our common wealth and use it to lord over us, people who would sacrifice our lives and those of our loved ones just to remain in power, people who have reduce our self pride and self esteem to the point that our Brethren go on sucidial journey for the life of a third class citizen, a refugee in countries who are not as blessed as us in human, material and natural resources, people who have turned the future mothers of this country into prostitutes and empty headed bimbos and turned the future fathers of this nation into addicts and brainless thugs. WE DO NOT NEED SECESSION OR RESTRUCTURING WHICH WOULD PERPETUATE THE SAME MEN AND WOMEN AND THEIR GENERATIONS WHO HAVE TRIED TO RUIN US AS OUR LEADERS. WHAT WE NEED IS A REVOLUTION. REVOLUTION SPIRITUALLY, MORALLY, MENTALLY, TECHNOLOGICALLY, CULTURALLY AND MOST IMPORTANTLY POLITICALLY

I agree with you but to them, their is nothing wrong in what they are doing and the school authority who are supposed to challenge them won't take any action. So how will they know that what their doing is wrong?

The school headmistress said on t.v that she has at several times told them not to graze at the school but at times they listen to her and quietly leave but at other times they react with violence and the staff of the school and the pupils back away. Hey have tried to call the owner of the cattle to prevent her men from grazing at the school but she refused to answer their summons.

This matter of herdsmen should not be mixed up with ethnic, religious, political or tribal sentiments as this is a threat to us all.
Imagine going to an elderly man's cocoa farm which he took loan to start farming and few months to harvest they went and burnt his entire farm down and when he asked them they told him the crops that were on the land was not good for their cattle so hey had to burn it so grass could start growing.
I am to embark in farming under the anchor borrowers scheme, the first location where I intended to farm I had to run away as herdsmen went there and destroyed millions of naira worth of crops, the second location just 2 months back they went there and destroyed farms and raped women, the third location is close to a community which hosts airforce land, now iam being told that there is a route through which they pass, I am just tired, maybe I should leave farming. This is the nightmare we go through in Benin so stop trivializing it because of tribalism or politics.
I can't sleep at night because they take their cattle to graze around my house and in my street b/w 11pm and 4 am every single day. Pls help new ask them which cattle grazes at night.
Thank God gov. Obaseki realises this people are a terror and plans to guard our borders with kogi and delta state and the oba and the governor plans to do something about them

The contribution of the citizenry to the very many problems of this country is mammoth.
The topic of this thread obviously contradicts what the images depict.
First picture is of an herdsman (not herdsmen according to the op) relaxing while he watches his cattle graze on the grasses beside a school (which happens nearly everyday in a government school beside my house in Osun state). The pupils were enjoying the sight (as against the impression of fright portrayed by the topic). could the buildings at the background of the pictures with cattle be part of the school building too? I couldn't just figure out an invaded classroom in any of the pictures. The essence of the pictures of the classroom and some supposed members of staff of the school remains a poser to my brain.

Why do some people like causing fear where there is none? Heating the polity unnecessarily.

I call on the mods to squelch this thread because it's inciting, misleading and corrosive.

Pls shut the Bleep up. Stop commenting based on a few pictures. If u are in Benin then u will know that the state owned EBS carried this very topic including a video clip where the cattle were shown in the classroom throwing desks around.

If you look closely from certain pronunciations of the then Egyptians you will find out that they resemble most words pronounced in our present urhobi Edo and ika.

How do you know ancient Egyptian pronunciation. At times ehn we re just too funny. Have u ever looked at a map and truly understand how difficult it is for a large group of people to migrate in ancient times without A GUIDE like a map or the different environmental factors of then or the different dangers in form of wild animals. Crossing through a forest with a group of people with a guide without a vehicle is very dangerous in modern day and any expedition of such nature without serious injury or death is very lucky. At times we should engage deductive reasoning and logic to such cases rather than using emotions. When I was a little younger I learned in my GST 201 of a theory that the Bini people re from Egypt and descended from the 2nd or 3rd son from the biblical Pharaoh of moses time I went with that theory until I finally sat down and thought about it.
There was the ancient NOK civilization so it stands to reason that there was another great civilization down south. Just because that as at now no mention has been made of a super/great civilization does not mean one did not exist, just as there was no knowledge except a little oral evidience which was not believed until the NOK heads were found

I meant no harm. I thought I read that somewhere but based on what you've just said, it seems my source is inaccurate. However, I am quite sure that Itsekiri and Olukumi of Delta State are Yoruboids. Even Okpe in Urhobo clan claim to be from Ife. This confirms your theory of outwardly migration from Yorubaland. However, the Yorubas must have come from somewhere. What are your theories?`

I theorize that the yoruba, Bini and IBO's have a common greater ancestor civilization and that an event occurred which led to their splintering and forgetting their common ancestry. I am sure that with proper archaeological expeditions evidence will be found.
FUN FACT: did you know that it is speculated that the search for west Africa or African hinterlands was due to a myth of a very wealthy christian king who ruled a very large area and was black.
Culture / Re: The Origin Of Urhobo People by Dsov2016: 9:31pm On Jun 05, 2017
According to history and research most of the first great civilizations of the world were founded along rivers leading to the name river civilization this included mesopotamia(land b/w rivers), hindu , yellow river(Chinese),Nile(Egypt) among many others. What is just being realised is that ancient civilizations traded with each other which is why some ores/materials unique to some areas are found in different areas. But the slavery mentality of Africans is to much how can our tribes be attached to some other nations just because they are popular or because of religious significance it is very possible that sub Saharan Africa is the cradle if the world, just because proof has not been found does not mean it is not there. It is possible that because of the presence of rivers and an outlet to the ocean that there was a great civilization that encompased the tribes found in Nigeria today and that because of disease or environmental factor, it disintegrated and some of the population escaped to Sudan and from there Egypt to the middle east and from there to europe(it is said that britons are descended from the middle east maybe summer or akkad),others through a land bridge to south and north america and from there to asia.Always be proud of ur african especially ur west African heritage.
FUN FACT: do u know that it is speculated that the Israelites are a splinter population of the Egyptians I.e lower caste who were treated as slaves. That their religion bears similarities to RA worship.
Also if we want to use similarities in translation of our language like the op did then AME in Bini language is water while in Japanese i means rain

Politics / Re: Governor Obaseki Appoints 192 Special Assistants In Edo State by Dsov2016: 7:44pm On Jun 03, 2017
The funny thing I am realising about this thread is that most of those commenting here are not in Edo state or have ever been to Edo state and just commenting based on the reality of the situation of their location or according to party politics. You have to understand that in Edo state governance is not easily accessible or approachable. If he can decide not to add ssa, special assistants and the rest it will be okay, as most of the time we hardly realise what government is up to, I also hope their salary reflects the harsh economic condition. If he can pay them a stipend of b/w 2500 naira to 5000naira per month that will be perfect

Montaque:
Ffk has been speaking against northern imperialism. You blame him yet u listed fulani herdsmen as a pressing security problem.

I don't know why some Nigerians like to be deliberately obtuse. If you follow the news on the internet and even nairaland you would realise that this herdsmen situation is not only affecting Nigeria but other African countries.
