^^looks good.
The book Seton talked about has some tips on customizing whmcs. I think you should get and read it.

Seton:
if you want to have a successful webhosting company, i'll recommend you get 'Getting & Managing Your First 1,000 Clients in Web Hosting by Abrahim Ikasud'. www.webhostingbusinessbook.com/. Make it your guide, it will save you so much headache
Hmmm, I remember the first time you recommended this book. I got the book and finished reading it in 2 nights. Although I already knew most of the things Abrahim wrote in the book, I still learnt a lot.

Will like to quote directly from the book
You must check your user’s bandwidth usage every day, especially when you are offering an unlimited bandwidth feature, which is not a good idea in the first place. But competition sometimes forces you to also offer this kind of unlimited features.
If goes undetected, users can use some 1,000 GB of bandwidth without you knowing it, leaving you with some extra $900 bill in your next server’s monthly invoice. Always keep monitoring what your users are using every day.
Now one can ask "How can anyone offer to give something to a person and ask him to do anything with it and still monitor his use of it?"
JAMB101

Interestingly, at the top of every page of this book, it is written
Book brought to you by HostGator.com
Seton thanks for the recommendation that time, gave the book to my GF and now a Lawyer is talking with me on fone and she's going all geeky with terms. Asking about this client's DNS propagation or that client's site transfer request. LoL its fun to see her "wget" and "yum" things on my test server.

CTU dead? Too bad I'm in episode 13. I should watch up the remaining episodes.
WebmastersRe: What Is The Meaning Of This? by DualCore1: 9:24pm On May 31, 2010
Hmmmm, so the IP address has been compromised by Tony!
Code red! Code red!! Shut down all external access to that IP and evacuate packets immediately!
This is not a drill!

LoL, Jark no need to worry. It looks like its an ISP thingy or something to do with the server belonging to the IP. Nothing you can do from your end, just use some other IP to access it. I had to do some google'ing to come up with an answer for you cuz I had no idea what this was and if seun or omni come here come see wetin we dey do u for CTU, come IDs will be sent into holding for interrogation (jack's style). 220V don do me something before, jack uses more than 220V on his victims tongue

bros1234:
As for my terms of service - Fair usage policy is part of it. I checked yours, it is there in different words.
What I have as a TOS is an acceptable usuage policy so people know clearly what they can do on my servers even before they give me their money. They don't expect magic to happen because it won't happen. And that policy has kept all my production servers alive and running with no planned/unplanned downtimes and defaulting sites have been shut down following every due process.

bros1234:
My friend, find the need and meet it. That's what hostgator and others are doing and thats what we should also be doing.

I signed up with a few unlimited plans before I setup our firm. Whether it exists or not, the client's cpanel reads unlimted and he is free to do whatever he likes provided it is legal with his plans.
cPanel will read what you will tell it to read from your WHM. IF you set a package to "Unlimited" it will read "Unlimited". Except you want to deceive your customers I dont see what point you are making.

Now that's for cPanel. You have WHM running. If you are telling me now that what you see on your WHM quota is "Unlimited" then I beg to end this conversation at this point as what you have is a Master Reseller account, not even a VPS or Dedicated server. My points will only make sense to a server admin who is seeing live and actual statistics of his server. IF you can't see that from your WHM, you don't have root access to the server your account is on and your not getting to terms with the fact that "unlimited" hosting isn't what you think it is, is understandable.

You are giving me a list of web hosting companies. Those companies when did they start the webhosting business? When did you start? Those companies you have called can decide to offer free hosting henceforth for all new customers and it won't touch them. You try it.

Your IP address is 74.86.208.186.
At the moment there are 686 websites hosted on the same server where your account has been kept(these sites are not yours)! This is the same server you want to offer unlimited offers on, right? And this is the same server a hundred of the 686 sites on that server may be offering unlimited hosting to their client for right? My final words for you, get real brother! We've already lost too many good domains to Error 404 and parked pages.

report the matter to CTU. na terrorist attack on ur browser.

Afam:
To prove it I can order a hosting package from you and use it as a huge video archive and lets see whether your web hosting company will not send you an email or call you to renegotiate your plans.
Ok I couldnt stop laughing at the thought of this happening anywhere. Say, I could pawn hostgator with this and take them to court when they suspend my 4 dollar a month account that I am using to run a youtube clone. Oh well that wont be possible, they have a sly "Fair Usage" policy they are hiding behind.

Wazohost, look at number 5 and 14 of the TOS (Terms of Service) on your website.

Seton, word!

Seems you're jealous because we have better offers at our end.
Far from your thinking. I am a Linux administrator (and i eat penguins for dinner), I work with datacenters. When I see better offers I know them. Keep this thinking out of your mind. I have said this before on this board, the web hosting platform is wide enough for everybody.

As for the rest of your post, you are entitled to your own opinion. Express yourself freely and welcome to the webhosting industry. Open your mind to knowledge cuz knowledge is opensource.

To show you i don't care about your offers. You see how detached your whmcs page is from your main page on your site? I'm working on a web application at the moment and not free but the moment I am done I have a week free window before my next project, I am offering to fix you an entirely new and presentable site seamlessly attached to your billing system and I wont put this on my portfolio. I will fix this up for you at no charge.
Accept the offer if you wonno.

Ok I see What you are saying. However, I think our company wazohost.com can actually help anyone buy unlimited gb space and sell professionally. Thanks
Get the word unlimited out of your marketting vocubulary asap. Contrary to what you think, that word is a business killer. Anyone with a brain in the right place shouldnt be looking for shared hosting with "unlimited" offers.

Even softlayer who you claim as your upstream provider doesn't offer unlimited diskspace on their dedi servers, you think they are silly?
I know this, as I have helped a softlayer client install and set up his dedicated server for commercial hosting.

Feel free to broaden your knowledge on the "unlimited" hosting thing HERE.

Diyobdw , feel free to check out www.trudigits.com for the hosting plans available.
I run my dedicated servers in a datacenter ranked number 1 in the world for connection speed and top 3 in the world for uptime records.
You can do a reverse dns lookup on any of my IPs and contact any of the sites you see on them asking how the service has been. I don't make promises about unlimited offers, what you pay for is what you get.

Online bank transfers to GTBank is accepted. Set up time is 30 minutes to 2 hours from confirmation of payment however there is a 24 hour margin that is given on all orders.

I just got CS5 and not very much has changed except for enhanced digital editing in photoshop. I dont care much for the new dreamweaver features. If you cant design without using dreamweaver. you should not be designing at all.
Ok smiley
Different strokes for different folks.
We are not talking about what you can and cant do here, just tell your user experience about the application.
I use Notepad++ to build web applications from start to finish but that's not the point.

CS5 don come, what's your take on it as per user experience and usability. I stopped using DW in its mx/8 days but I am loving web development with CS5 solely because of the way it treats dependent files.

debest1:
ok I will send you an email then you can reply with the day that is most suitable for you to do it.
Thanks

WebmastersRe: A Beginner Is Confused, Please Help! by DualCore1: 12:16pm On May 30, 2010
^^ That scenario is the same reason why I made a post here in the first place.

I looked at his post, checked his site up and just said to myself,  "nice site for a site owner". Was about leaving when I noticed his signature "Have Your Website Designed From Only N12,000. Visit www.InterLineNg.com." And now I'm like "wait this is not just a site owner, he is about to build a career in this thing, hope he doesnt think WP themes are what it will take to be a designer/developer?". Then I make the post which is now looking like a discouragement and a post meant for the 1980s. I read the reply to my post and just said "Okies" out loud and went back to work, came back to my browser some 2 mins later and saw the thread still open then I posted the "Ok" to let him know I have seen his reply and I respect his opinions and beliefs and can only wish him the best in his endeavors.

Let's make technology work for us, lets not work for technology.
WebmastersRe: How Do I Create Web Email In Dreamweaver? by DualCore1: 10:56am On May 30, 2010
That's neat.

If javascript is turned off it won't work! Lol this is my personal opinion, if someone is archaic enough not to have javascript turned on in this age and time (year check: 2010) for whatever reasons best known to him/her, my jobs are not for him/her. Na my personal thinking o, not imposing it on anyone. I have left the days of catering to non javascript surfers but i still put them in my prayers though that they have JS turned on one day. Until then, all they can get if they access any of my recent jobs, is a suggestion that they get real with trend and get a javascript enabled browser.  tongue
If I keep catering to people that dont want to upgrade their user experience, I wont move forward, I will be stuck with them in 1997.

Ok.
WebmastersRe: How Do I Create Web Email In Dreamweaver? by DualCore1: 12:08am On May 30, 2010
LoL, you crazy.

Solution to problem 1 = yoursite.com/webmail (or whatever alias your host has chosen, as given in the welcome mail)

Solution 1 to problem 2 = create a html form and set its action to process it with a php (or any other serverside lang) file. You can choose to do validation on both server and client or on either of them.

If you wonno do some fly ish, you can leave the form "action" blank and let javascript take care of the action. You set a click() action using jQuery, for the button and do the validation before passing it to jquery's ajax() post method which takes care of posting the form to the php (or any other serverside lang) file and returns feedback to the user on successful submission. All this happening without any page refresh/reload. Having a thank_you.html file is kinda old school  grin

These solutions are what I can come up with and they work. It is left to you to implement the solution through any means possible. Sadly, I cannot offer a click this click that tutorial on Dreamweaver as I do not click this click that on Dreamweaver.
WebmastersRe: How Do I Create Web Email In Dreamweaver? by DualCore1: 10:51pm On May 29, 2010
I should provide what other solution? The things above me aint solution enough? Oya come and pay me for solution naw. How do u wonno be charged? Per second or per hour.

If you had just faced the issue at hand without facing the matter of using DW or not, there wont be any derailment in the first place.
WebmastersRe: How Do I Create Web Email In Dreamweaver? by DualCore1: 9:58pm On May 29, 2010
Make una leave DW alone oooooo, it is making me work faster here and i dey dance  tongue. Check my screenshot and see how many files i have created and i'm working on.

Now imagine moving around all those files with my former pal NP++. Its the reason I really couldnt work well without 2 monitors while using NP++

I dunno what the design view of DW really looks like though :-p
Havnt checked that part out since I got this CS5

DW is only a tool. Its as flexible as a drop dead gorgeous babe. The reaction she will give me (as a fine boy that i think i am) will be different from the reaction that she will give you (as an ugly boy that i know you are)  grin Now we know that was a joke, right? Why the squeezed face?  tongue
All i'm saying is, leave the tool alone and face the solution.

Very soon una go soon start to treat jQuery they way una dey treat DW. Over the past few days I've been talking with one nl oga (not dhtml, not omni, not tellin u his name). He can work with pure javascript (which i cant do without ending up with migraines) and doesn't fancy jQuery. So whenever he tells me what he's up to in a project he's working on which involves pure javascript. I give him the jQuery equivalent which is ofcourse shorter and easier. But he says he wants full control of his javascript so he doesnt fancy jquery. I'm not bothered though cuz he is pretty stunning with pure JS. His name is  lipsrsealed

WebmastersRe: A Beginner Is Confused, Please Help! by DualCore1: 4:55pm On May 29, 2010
I don't see how the suggestion of using a wordpress template has solved the problem here. The second post in this thread is the closest anyone has gotten to a solution here.

I wont be making this post if I didn't see you signature. If you want to build a career in this thing drop that "wp template" suggestion as a solution to your designer's block.

Would like to help the best way I can, you can IM me on yahoo chat (ID= k_frill) or mail me (sawyerrken at gmail dot com).

You may want to check up your source codes for any unfamiliar codes that may have been injected.
Also do well to check your firewall logs.
If you have root access to the server you're on, change familiar ports like SSH to a non-standard port.
Just go through any access logs you can lay hands on.

As I said earlier. This is not a threat, its a heads-up and thanks for acknowledging receipt. Your site will still be on our watch list.
The Webhosting platform is big enough for a million more Nigerian companies so there's no monopoly.
