danteweb:
You guys all sound like shallow minded fellas.

If we allow technology to overwhelm our languages, we might lose them.

", So, what if we lose our languages, english is better, "
Hells NO!!!!!!

The biggest single problem liable for our underdevelopment is the use of English. Have you ever seen a mechanic learn his trade or relate in English. No. They do their trade in their local languages and so do millions of Nigerians. But because we have allowed technology overtake these languages what they learn is inefficient.

As long as graduate Automobile engineers in English and train Mechanics in Local languages, we can never make cars in Nigeria.

Why is it that all countries that develop technology in their languages are highly developed e.g china, japan, korea, india etc, and those that use other peoples languages are underdeveloped e.g: Nigeria and other african countries?

This is because your language depicts your realities.

I'll stop here and leave you guys to think out the rest
with all due respect, i dont see where ya going with this with respect to yoruba, igbo and hausa on vista.

erm, when u wonno shut down i'm just wondering wht the prompt will be on a "yoruba vista". . .

"Abi Se e fe k'm kpa kini'e?"
"ye! Oti o!" | "be ni, e kpa"

mehn this sux major donkey ballz.

P.S: i'm just talking from an IMHO perspective, so dont take a fight with me if i dont like the idea. not like i'm an active vista user tho.

WebmastersRe: Aimz.110mb.com by DualCore1: 11:58pm On May 31, 2009
you ask the question like u just saw the site on the net and are scared to view it so u need some honest views about whether its safe for u to view.

if that's really the case, how deceptive can u be?

u know if someone honestly comes out plain and asks for referrals, he'll have better chances than you.

WebmastersRe: Help: Bots Have Taking Over My Forum by DualCore1: 6:18am On May 31, 2009
sorry man, your journey has just begun, i get an average of 7 bot registrations per day, nairaland gets far more!

There are tools on SMF to stop them (at least for the time being until the bot herders get wiser, and they always do).

The best solution i've used is BotScout, search for tht modification on SMF mod list.
WebmastersRe: Problem: Site Definition In Dreamweaver by DualCore1: 8:03am On May 30, 2009
if u leave testing server at "http://localhost" u'll have a problem.

lets say ur files are in a folder under ur testing server. lets call the folder "mysite". To get this to work in ur site definition, make sure ur local server is running then use "http://localhost/mysite/". don't forget that last trailing forward slash.
