Dunno about you but i really hate that red light tht comes on when using my n95 camera to video stuffs. Here's a tut i saw on the net. i just tried it out and it works. Now i can record some youtube moments without being caught by the pipz i'm recording. lol! //Start of tutorial In this tutorial I will show you how to disable the N95 camera red light non destructively [It has been confirmed that it works on 8GB version]. Beware! There are other methods around the web that suggest to cut wires and permanently damage your phone (here or here). This is not the case here, the method presented in this post is fully reversible. This is not an easy process and requires to disassemble your phone; tho it is not so difficult. It took me around 15 minutes in total. Here is what you need to complete the process (a paper trimmer or any kind of blade(surgical type) good enough to be able to cut with precision, a T6×50 precision screw driver, tape and a N95!) Here are the steps to follow: To start with remove the battery cover and battery. Next remove the back cover of the phone. You can do this by hand, just try to pull the cover from the front right side and then remove (gently!). Then remove the four screws as shown on the following image (including the power-on/power-off plastic cover at the top): Slide the screen lid, turn the phone around and remove the screen by unplugging the connector: Remove the Keyboard and then remove the two (usually black with a spring around them) screws at the lower bottom of the N95: Separate the two basic PCB parts (be careful not to touch the memory chips): Locate the six pads that the camera flashing light is connected on the main PCB. It is a 6-pad array located at the left-top of the PCB. Cut a small piece of tape around 1mm wide and place it on top of the middle pad closer to the phone’s camera. Be very careful not to cover anything else, you might disable the flash light etc) Reassemble the phone by following the above steps in the reverse order. if everything went right then the red light is now off! Good luck. //end of tut he did it in 15mins, i did it in less time (lol cuz i didnt have to do all the circuit board reading he did, thts the hard part). |
Thanks Inze, hamid. My mistake. Sorry for any confusion caused. |
Tech Pros:now tht's one very popular excuse i get to see when a dude comes up with an oh-i-think-my-site-is-so-fly-let-me-show-off-with-it site and then gets a shocker from the comments given. Ego defense. And what's this? "Site Credits : www.tengpro.com" well the domain tengpro.com is still very much available and i am so tempted to "Add to Cart" but whts the use? Dude, get a site's domain up before publishing it. You build a site (one i wont qualify with any word or phrase) and you put up site credits tht don't exist. so much for vague professionalism. Now what? u gon tell me cuz the money was too small so u didnt put up a valid site as "Site Credits"? What's this " Asmcs Cooperative Bank © 2009 | Privacy Policy | Terms of Use" Which terms of use? which privacy policy? shay we just see "fly" words on other sites and "Ctrl+C" -> "Ctrl + V" ok this is intresting, i've seen lotsa funny things but not a search form without a submit button or an event listener. So wen i type my search phrase, what next? dont tell me, i know. "Alt+F4" The links on the right sidebar are either useless or all pointing to same location. i also have to say your codes are dirty(go and read abt when to use external and internal css stylesheets, infact go and learn css as a whole at www.w3schools.com), but wht do u care, its a cheap site (according to u). thank goodness it wasnt on some sorta free hosting plan i checked this thread wen u created it and looked at the site and just closed the tab (like i've done for many other sites here) and continued work. i'm back with all this now cuz of your attitude. kindly dont try to get back at me with words, spend the time working on tht thing also do well to get a domain for ur own site and i'll love to see ur portfolio (if any) on it. |
Its a good thing you've done for your target users. was very busy yesterday so i couldnt really run through it, but with the little i did, i think this is going to be a good concept. its open source so there's always going to be room for improvements. I will go through your source codes soon and see the way forward as to coming up with an installer, anyone (rookie or pro) who wants to join me in this is welcomed. Cheers. |
u talk like u have no hand in it. u have no hand in it, yet there's a link on tht page tht takes one to a thread u created on nairaland. great! now nland has to write a disclaimer. lol lam3r |
if u want, i could code up an installation page. not like i've done it before (as i dont write scripts for the public) but wht gives?! its PHP impossible is nothing! ![]() |
This is cool, i have downloaded it and mounted it on my local server and tried to run it (without reading the ReadMe, lol) then i got an error about database connectivity (which i think i was expecting). Though i saw the error i think i had a bit of expectation to see, i was just hoping to run it and see an interface where one can just key in the database, its username, its password, and its hostname and any other stuff then click install and let the app do all the Importing to database and any other setup. You know ur target audience is those who know just html and css. So telling these one's to edit this, edit that, import this, export that might be strange to them. Just my thinking tho. well i'm heading back to the config file to get it all set up to work with my local server. Cant wait to see what this can do. Lovely this is out of 9ja, str8 from 9ja. we got mo' than street credibility, we got PHP credibility, lol. Hey whts with the name? i woulda prefered some james bond kinda name like the ones up there. . . Zend! CakePHP! Seagull! lol they sound cool innit. PHP Freedom Framework! nay not too cool. but wht the heck, if it does the job well, who cares abt the name? |
Take this to Programming Section ![]() |
most reseller accounts are setup using WHM. so get into your WHM Panel and create an account for your domain name. Make sure ur domain name is pointing to ur nameservers. |
segsalerty:beef nice tut WebJunior. just to explain how the whole thing works for the poster. In other to pass data from your form to your email, u use a php file. First, u have ur form, then your form processor then a thank you page or whtever u wonno call this, just the page tht comes up next after the form has been sumitted. First your form You create this using html and please give the "name" attribute of each text field, radio, combo button etc and also the submit button. the form "action" attribute should have the form processor file as its target. (i.e if the processor is processor.php then the form action will be <form action="processor.php" method="post"> Next is the form processor (the php file) the idea is to bring the data from the text fields in the html form over to this other file so it can be processed. the super global variable $_POST[] is used for this. so u create ur own variable and assign it to the desired text field in the form $name = $_POST['name']; //assuming u have a text field or anyother input type with the "name" attribute of "name" this is the file ur form communicates with then the submit button is clicked after assigning all ur input types in the form to variables here. next thing u do is to mail them. PHP does this using the mail() function. the mail function collects some data as tis attribites. mail(to, message, subject, header) to = where the mail is going to be sent message = its obvious wht this is lol subject = u know already headers = if u knew this already then this tut is too rookie for u, lol. kidding! the headers here are wht the web server uses to interact with the mail server (i think thts the correct explanation either that or some bla bla bla i didnt care to bother about). the header also contains where the mail is coming from (this is one feature yahoo yahoo boys should exploit if they havnt even started) so it should look like this $to = sawyerrken@microsoft.com //if the data is coming to my mail ofcourse $message = $name; //take note, if the message is long, u might have to concatenate this variable and end each concatenation with a /n (new line) $subject = "you're fired! please return all nland property in ur possesion" //holly crap wht did i do?! $headers = "From: info@interswitchng.com"; //heh now u put up everything into the mail function u'll have stuff like mail($to, $message, $subject, $headers); next, u redirect ur stuff to a confirmation page header("Location: ThanksDude.html" ;i suggest u stick to the codes up there to get this thing to work. i'm only trynna explain how this thing flows for u. cheers. my bill is $70 ![]() |
na from my mouth u wan hear who kill MKO abi? |
you have a virus. wenever it comes, try using Alt + F4 or end the process "iexplorer" from ur task manager. get a good anti virus programmer to clean up ur stuff. if this thing persists after 2 days, go see a techie. ![]() on the bright side, this could be a good time to put a real OS on tht thing. |
In addition, kindly get a paid host for this, if you really want to see this grow. |
