all this brouhaha and after six months, you may not like her that much again. OP, the same way you make other friends, is the same way you make friendship to choose your spouse. ANY OTHER METHOD, has lots of deceit associated with it

Next: If the lady is too much for you, or you are too scared. STOP; and work on yourself. it may not be worth it after all.

Finally, MOST campus relationships are total WASTE OF TIME. You have a lot ahead of you. Focus on your studies. "No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of this life.......(2 Timothy 2;4) American standard version.

lagerwhenindoubt: tear the report because you did not see it first or because the leaked version had no iota of truth in it.. which one.. but let us leave that for another day. on Manitoba.,. at least the Public (not the naive one) needs to know how BPE will process a proposal, have a prospective investor perform due diligence and after 5 years award it wholly only to claim a breach in due process. I have a strong feeling you have access to such crucial info, can you leak it out to save us the effort of trying to figure out what is on the mind of BPE. It seems you will vest your confidence on our indigenous investors than on experienced international institutions with verifiable successes in this field. but hey.. there is a first time for everything right?
Humm. I'll be out of this thread after this. may I state that most of your so called "experienced international institutions with verifiable successes" operating in various sectors in this country, are involved in the biggest corruption scams you can think of. is it Oil and Gas, Power, Construction coys etc. Listen, It is this corruption that fuels their operational engine, It is this corruption that blinds Nigerians. Unfortunately, Nigerians are involved in all these rubbish and thats whats on display on nairaland. so sad.

Iolo: I think reading this post should be enough.

GEJ is trying to ensure that there are no doubts as to the transparency behind the govts power reforms. My own is for them to quickly sort this out so there's no loophole in the whole equation.

And for those crying foul, Manitoba was only to manage the TCN for a number of years for a fee.
Touché wink

bros, forget about that Ribadu report. that is not the issue being discussed. besides If i were your boss and i gave you a job to do stating the terms and you spend so much time, return with an inconclusive report and leak the report before presenting it. I'll tear the report in your face for gross incompetence.

but that is not the issue here.

Gbawe: Please shut up !!! Why are you and others so dishonest? When caught out you are then runnning from pillar to post instead of showing character and simply admitting you spoke out of turn. Can you not read? Is it not clear to you that the GEJ Government that took the decision to re-engaged Manitoba rather than restart the process of screening interested companies all over again?

I am simply tired of the dishonesty of some of you. You are like your 419 leaders who turn to double-speak when exposed. The BPE, under GEJ's directive, was comfortable to re-engage Manitoba without any desire to screen others. We would assume the BPE stuck to its professional brief in doing a decent job to harsh out the contract signed with Manitoba. What is therefore the pedantic 'due process' argument folks like you are now supporting Naively? Should we all, like you, blindly support every action of Government without even using logic?
I'm sorry I can't help you. your obsession for this Canadian company is rather unfortunate. You just don't seem to understand that their are vested interest in the Manitoba deal. Its Painful but we must get it right.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Scraps Canada Power Contract In Privatisation Setback by duality(m): 9:02pm On Nov 14, 2012
Gbawe: The likes of you ,despite never contributing anything intelligent here, like personalising issues to distractingly make things about your fellow posters. That is why you can foolishly assume I do not "comprehend" issues whereas it is the you and the ignorant poster you quote ,who always speaks incorrectly to defend GEJ blindly, who lack comprehension.

The Manitoba contract was not "signed" under GEJ "without due process" as Billionaire lied. Before you should quote him in future, know that he is a shameless and unrepentant liar who turns to falsehood to defend every action of GEJ. Anyway simply wait and see how things turn out. In the meantime enjoy the lies of Billionaire, that you speak based on, being exposed below. The Manitoba contract, even as the groundwork began under OBJ, was formally signed under GEJ last July. It is no surprise a deceitful President is supported by desperate lying hacks like Billionaire who come here to deceive others with arrant lies. You and your lying pal can clear off.

http://allafrica.com/stories/201211140262.html
Gbawe, is it wrong to backtrack when the possess is faulty? I think its most reasonable to do so. Have you asked for the reasons Late Yaradua stalled the process? He most likely would have done the same. Besides, if these issues are not dealt with. you'd be the one to complain, query and react harshly when problems arise.

Gbawe, please don't leverage on the naivety of folks here. We as Nigerians must learn to do things right. I can put my money on the fact that you know absolutely nothing on how the Manitoba deal was brokered. come-on....
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Scraps Canada Power Contract In Privatisation Setback by duality(m): 8:14pm On Nov 14, 2012
Billyonaire: All the DISCOS we selected in an open bid, but Manitoba Canada's contract was signed under OBJ regime without due process, and no open bidding. If we must get it right, we have to be transparent, and we must do it right and not let vested interest of past administrations blind our sense of judgement. We need an open bid process to appoint the best firm to handle this job, if Manitoba wins in an open bidding then so be it.
GBAM!!

this seems to much for Gbawe to comprehend.

Come-on dude... I'm saying the same thing. he decamped. but why? no Ideology? was it just to pay bills?

trust me I'm quite informed about Edo politics. I schooled in Edo state and I know the political history of most politicians in Edo. 85% of the big names you can call in ACN were PDP strong men. OKOSUN and OBAHIAGBON were both assembly house members in PDP.

My point is, You can hate PDP all you like but these were the guys in government in the hated PDP administration. They'll change masters any time ACN implodes.

the issues i have with all these is that he was in PDP before now. the same PDP that is always vilified. now he's now employed by ACN. Tomorrow, some will call PDP a killer party and urge us to vote them out. and probably vote in ACN.

If that is done, what we'll see is a mass exodus to the ruling party. I can put my money on this fact taht after four years of ACN in Edo state. Obahiagbon will not be in ACN especially if ACN is not in power.
CrimeRe: Tension In Jesse Town In Delta State by duality(m): 1:35pm On Nov 14, 2012
Six persons were killed, on Tuesday, after soldiers invited to stop the lynching of a suspected ritualist opened fire on villagers of Idjerhe (Jesse) Kingdom in Ethiope-West Local Government Area of Delta State, sources said on Tuesday.

Twenty-five others were left critically injured, sources said.

Information gathered suggested that the security men had tried to prevent the villagers from killing a man suspected to be ritualist. The villagers had, however, attempted to prevent the soldiers from taking the said ritualist to the village monarch for interrogation, pelting the soldiers with stones and other items. The men in uniform then opened fire.

“Three persons were killed at first, but the death toll increased later, as the youths continued their attack on soldiers,” one said.

Another said: “They tried to stop the soldiers who came lawfully take away the suspect and that made the soldiers to shoot indiscriminately, gunning down about three persons in the first instance, another person later died.”

In a reprisal attack, irate villagers razed the palace of Ovie of Idjerhe, His Royal Majesty, Erhikevwe I, who, they suspected, invited the soldiers.

Soldiers, however, whisked the embattled monarch away from the palace to save his life.

Spokesperson of the Police in Delta State, Charles Muka, confirmed the incident, saying that three persons were shot dead, one hospitalised and 12 others arrested in connection with the incident.

He said the police were not involved in the shooting.

Meanwhile, the Delta State House of Assembly, on Tuesday, passed a resolution urging the governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, to direct the Commissioner of Police and other security agencies in the state to move into Jesse and restore order to the troubled community.

The motion, which was moved under matters of urgent public importance by the member, representing Ethiope West Local Government Area, John Nani, was unanimously adopted by the lawmakers.
Can these ACN folks just shut up! You people are sounding annoyingly confusing and desperate by the day. Lagos crowd gathered in January this year behind Bakare to shout from the Gani square that the people that milk this country through subsidy should be prosecuted. Now, Ifeanyi Uba is being prosecuted and he turns around to accuse the head of the very office that can provide a real proof of his defrauding the subsidy scheme. He did not really accuse her for anything, but for politics which i don't understand. Now the same people are shouting that NOI is a thief. How?

Let me ask again, is this battle really against corruption or against GEJhuh Do you people even have a moral stand? Must everything be used to play politics? I am getting more convinced that the fight against this government has nothing to do with getting us a better Nigeria but to run down the President and return power to the part of the country that you people are more comfortable with,
Ggam. when you make the right provisions you don't need draconian laws. Go to those towns where bicycle was common. you'd hardly find those bicycle. no government banned bicycle in those places. when the government makes transportation provision , okada will naturally disappear.

Adams gets my thumbs up.

mtcheew...

No matter how sophisticated, aristocratic and psychedelic a girl may be. when she really wants to be in a relationship she'll loosen up. Pick up lines become inconsequential. in fact, she'll be the one to start a conversation. A lady at 25yers may have the opinion of the OP. when she is getting old, se'll drop those bull..

for me, i don't give a heck about such lines coz i'll always want to be free with any lady i want to be my friend. no time for "forming". Thats why i don't "toast". I totally don't believe in it. i do my friendship things naturally.

I have a friend with this attitude. you know, the mind set of the op. we just got talking. in fact, she was speaking queens english, while i deliberately replied in pidgin. after some time, she loosened up and joined me in the pidgin level. we had i nice conversation.

If i had used one of those pick up lines or "Toasting" lines, she probably, would have rushed to nairaland to open a topic like this.
