Sorry for the late response. Go ahead and apply online and go to the school to submit hardcopy. LASU extorts Money from students. you pay for the transcripts processing and pay for verification, over N57k+. its really horrible!!!

Kaysalas:

Hello bro, just seeing your post now, please how far with your LASU transcript/WES Parol?
I intend doing same as I did Economics @ lasu n need to evaluate my result. Kindly advise asap

Education / Re: UNILAG, Why Is There A Long Delay In Getting Our Academic Transcript? by dubajek: 3:40pm On Oct 23, 2019
Mine is more than 3 wks now. why are they collecting money for transcript verification/confirmation. Too bad. Extorting money from people just to confirm the transcript sent by you. It got to stop!!!

wamide042:
I work in a University and I understand the procedures.
The highest time an academic transcript should take is two weeks... that’s the practice here in LASU..
But if it exceeds that two weeks believe me the people who should work on it didn’t do it, probably because they want you to settle them because they know you will comeback.
Some of them were set up sometimes ago. They were caught they faced a disciplinary panel and were sacked.. since then the staffs are very careful because they don’t know who is who..

UBC admission: 28th August
Online Application: 18th Sept
Biometrics Request: 20th Sept
Medical Request:16th Oct.

First time applicant.

My passport was to expire 3 months into the winter term and of course, my Visa's validity if granted wouldn't be longer than March, so I had to wait for it to drop to 6 months, then I applied for passport renewal. I also got my police clearance certificate in September.

Took me not less than a week to write a one and a half pages of SOP. I kept editing and restructuring, adding and subtracting. My strategy was to weigh the pros n cons of each point I try to make. Any information that I weigh n perceive could be misinterpreted, I thrower more light. For instance, my kids are part of my ties. The least is 2 years old. I felt the VO would wonder why a sane mother would want to leave her young child. At the same time, i felt the VO would also wonder how i would travel with a toddler given the intensity of my professional masters degree. I had to choose one side of the argument and gave solid reasons which sent a pointer to my determination to study and graduate with good grades while outlining adequate steps I've put in place for the welfare of the kids I'm leaving behind.

I also mentioned what I intend to do upon return and showed evidence of some tangible things I'd leave behind as a major fallback when I return. Each day I read my SOP, it made deeper meaning. I understood it differently and kept manipulating it until I was convinced that I had done noble. Worthy to mention is that I showed a career progression from my previous study and current work experience, to the intended program. Meanwhile, I attached an LOE to explain my previous US tourist Visa rejection, reason for not writing IELTS + correspondence from school confirming that IELTS would be waived if my UNN sends them a proof that I was taught in English, other source of income, family composition .

I want to use this opportunity so say thanks to the different selfless agents on this platorm.
my journey started last year as I tried applying for a bsc in mental health nursing but
was discouraged given my age and all. as God would have it a major event made sure I was not
able to make it last year. Fastforward to 2019, I applied this time for an Msc in a rush, so I had to
settled for priority. The wait is not for the faint-hearted. Timeline is as follows:

Biometrics 04/09/2019
Received in Sheffo 04/09/2019
Decision was made on the 13/09/19
Got a mail from TLS on the 24/09/19

latest day to resume was 25/09/19 so I Had to leave naija on the same day I got the visa as my school already deferred my
admission because they felt I would have lost too much if I wasnt enrolled by friday of the same week.
Spent so much on the flight but I no mind... Had to beg the cordinator to keep my admission
as I beleived my visa was delayed. I'm all settled in school as I write this... thanks to the wonderful peeps here.

Thanks. Will look into it

Vesment:

the best is while looking for schools, avoid London and check on other parts in the UK like sheffield, nottingham, manchester etc. even tho the school fees is low. healthcare, visa fee and return flight should be clicking 700k depending on the type of visa u want ranging from normal to super priority or so.
remember course and placement year(co-op) matters a lot.

Thank you very much.

mcobex:
Not true. Order for your gcms note now, the gcms notes will tell you the real reasons behind your denial, then with that you can work on that and tender a much better app. Dont mind the person that said you need to get visiting visa first before applying for study.
Search on Google "gcms note" and you will see different links as to how you can order for it and, follow them and you are good(it will take around 30-40 days for you to get it)
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by dubajek: 11:04am On Jul 31, 2019
Thanks for your response. The persons is saying that I have to apply for visiting visa first and when given then I will now apply for study permit visa.

JustMellow:

I guess what the person meant is that you should tackle the reasons why you were refused the VV before applying for a SP. This can be done by providing relevant documents and writing a convincing LOE to address the concerns. If possible, request for your gcms notes before applying.

Good luck!

Good Morning NL, Please I was denied visiting visa early this year based on purpose of visit, finance and Asset. I applied for admission into university for winter 2020. someone is telling me that I need to sort out the visiting issue first if not it will affect my study visa application. Please how true is this?

Thank you.

Eldeee:

Yes sir. Very much possible. At least I know someone who did. But you need to really do a whole lot of work on your motivation letter as well as Curriculum Vitae which should be backed up with very good work experience. All the very best.
Travel / Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by dubajek: 11:25am On Jul 29, 2019
but one can use HND and PGD to get admission into Msc...Just asking

SpongeBobSP:

I think you previously stated he has a HND, and that won't be accepted for any Msc, and I don't think German schools require Wes evaluation for anything, so his best bet would still be to go for a Bsc.

Sammy1210:
Hello everyone, I want to share my testimony here.
you all have been really helpful. I was denied to the US last year for a study visa and deferred my admission to this year. Along the line i applied to a school in Canada, got admitted for the program and started my processing. I also booked my US visa interview but I believed Canada would accept me. On the eve of my US interview, I got a rejection mail from Canada. I was really down, as God would have it, I got approved to the US the next day!!!!!. To that person that things seem bleak for, try again, have faith and be rest assured it would work out. Thank you!
