We just beat Manure Reserves 2-1 in our opening reserves match today. Aneke was on the score sheet, he should be thinking of a loan spell this season and when will Nigeria cap him? ![]() |
debosky:I believe he is our boy until he crosses over to the dark side. ![]() its the general gloom that surrounds the club that leads to this, fans are angry there are no trophies and just hitting out at anything in sight. Its our past heroes that are not doing enough in my opinion. It took Gary Neville to come out with such an article. People like Lee Dixon, Winterburn, Charlie Nicholas and Parlour could be a bit more positive in their words and writing no matter their individual opinions about the club's direction (I know Merse is incapable of such ), I think it would go a long way to calm down the more hot headed section of the fanbase. But I know Arsenal fans, if he signs and plays as we all know he can, it will all be forgotten soon enough, nothing that 2 goals in 2 matches from him wouldnt solve. I don't think that winding down his contract thingie will work well for anyone though, Cesc's saga should be a good lesson, anything above 20m they should just sell him straight. |
coogar:Where did I tell you the deal was concluded today? Wenger's press conference was on Friday morning NO? I suppose your brain would be rejected by the apes if they could speak, saw dust and grey mata is quite a wrong mix ![]() |
coogar:Your eyes still deceiving you? where do you see "morning" in that statement? or is your head a vestigial appendage? ![]() coogar:Stop these bold face lies, by Friday afternoon, Debo and I were telling Slim that it was obvious Cesc was going. I was only calming you down cos yu were all over the place like a Gorilla in heat in your misguided ecstasy. ![]() |
coogar:I don't recall hearing Friday morning and even if he said morning, did he tell you the time or you jumped to conclusions about that? typical of you to make none existent points. What you started with was that he was lying cos he wanted people to renew season tickets, later you changed it to him not wanting a media circus because of the newcastle match (a very valid reason I must say). Come back when yu get your story sorted in your confused skull, the shape of your skull doesn't matter its the contents, yours could do with a makeover, the contents aint right are yu sure it isn't sawdust? ![]() coogar:You can direct those questions to Gary Neville, I'm sure he'll find time to respond but spare a thot that 1 of those clubs you mention is now in the Championship and Tottenham well, are Tottenham not mentioned in the same breath as Arsenal. What the club needed then was to get financially stable, a top 4 finish year on year guaranteed that and that is what Arsene has delivered while flirting with surpassing that on occasion as well. |
edoyad:I don dey ask for team list for Udinese since o but people no wan hear, dem get to vent about Cesc. 8 years love affair nor be small ting o. where my PTSD for come? if its my recent fetish for worn underwears, I'm only trying to make the best of a bad situation and help to relieve the most emotionally vulnerable arsenal fans in the process. You can't accuse me of not being a true gooner or my sister's keeper. ![]() |
Unfortunate, further compounded by the poor health care facilities available to the woman also no respite for the social stigma the mother has to live with in a superstitious and unenlightened society. |
naijababe:Very easy, how far away is your nearest post office? ![]() |
This is horrible and so not right. |
mukina2:Nor too vexx Muki, you and naijababe can now send me your panties since Cesc has become the most hated. PS: make sure they've been worn. ![]() |
slimshay:I agree, I will speak no more on the matter, except if Barcelona return him later cos his genes got spliced with Arsenal DNA during his 8 year sojourn at London Colney. ![]() Now, on to Udinese. What team are yu expecting tomorrow Slim? at least there is no need to rest Gervinho or Song. |
hannie:Chei, Dr. Kit speaking from some serious experience at dishing out the red card. I know some people who know some people who need counselling it wasn't me. and lest I forget o Congrats, I hope my champagne is still on ice. ![]() |
coogar:droplets of insanity from a slack gob that needs to be weld shut permanently. ![]() show me the proof that this deal was done thursday night or keep it zipped jare. Rio is no longer part of your defence abi? Berbatov is no longer part of your attack and neither is Rooney? how much did that lot go for again? ![]() and if we're judging Managers on the basis of one match, why not judge Fergie on the drubbing West Ham who are now relegated gave in knocking you out of the same Carling cup? |
mukina2: naijababe:I nor want woman trouble jare. you people can mostly either love or hate to extremes, I can calmly choose when to remain neutral. very soon, yu'll be telling us Cesc is the most fugly player to wear the red and white when he was making you send him panties in the post 2 seasons ago. ![]() Unfortunately Cesc won't become a true legend, he could have been if he stayed, but when all this outburst of emotion is over, his true legacy will be told. |
coogar:stop talking squirting rubbish ![]() The interview was on Friday morning, the deal wasn't confirmed at the time of the press conference and there were still documents to sign and send, as at the time of the interview, Cesc was still an Arsenal player. coogar:I'm glad Neville is unbiased, don't agree he had to be though, he is bucking the trend of punditry in the UK and for that I'm glad. I personally don't think any of those ones would have made much difference, its the overall squad strength we're talking about not one or 2 signings, not many of Arsene's signings are faulted, its the signings he doesn't make that are and that points to problems with cash flow IMO. By the way, you can direct those questions to Gary, isn't he one of your club legends? there is a comments section on the article. By the way, yu can take it up with Gary |
Chrisbenogor:I respect people who remain unbiased in their analysis of issues, I always knew you to be and yu've confirmed it again. It is good to be able to look at issues from both sides of the coin. The Barcelona hierarchy could have handled this a lot better and I will insist that the immediate past leadership was to blame for this debacle, they should have reined the players in from the onset. Naijababe and Mukina2 are only being emotional, if they were in Cesc's shoes they would have gone yapping to the press saying they wanted a move. ![]() Cesc wanted to go to Barcelona but did his best to get Arsenal the best deal they could so he kept quiet, he also had to consider the Barca fans he was going to meet so had to remain quiet to both sides. There wouldn't have been a lot of ill feeling if one side didn't keep shouting in the media. The nearest deal to this in terms of circumstances was Chamakh's move only difference was that he had no affiliations to Arsenal, Arsenal werent continually in the press about it and he did win Bordeaux a trophy before leaving and got the grand exit his performances deserved from the Bordeaux fans despite leaving on a free from a club he had been at since 14. Cesc had the opportunity to become an Arsenal legend but passed on it but in the future people would still remember him for what he did on the pitch for arsenal. He was the only one I felt could surpass Henry in terms of appreciation from the fans if he had stayed and won something as captain, everything else was going for him and he still had age on his side but he knows himself better anyway. Now we have to look to Jack and hope the club gets through this building phase before he gets fed up as well. |
Now this takes the mickey? Weirdest source of backing for Arsene Wenger. Gary Neville of all people ![]() http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2025700/Gary-Neville-Arsenal-fans-shouldnt-criticise-Arsene-Wenger.html
So they haven't won a trophy for six years? Well, Manchester United went 26 years without winning the league, Liverpool have now gone 21 years without the title and Manchester City went 35 years without winning a trophy. Tottenham have gone 50 years without winning the league.

In the last six years, it's been clear that Arsenal have not been able to spend huge amounts on the team because they've invested £390million in a stadium to set themselves up for the next 60 years, not for the next six years. They've invested in the infrastructure of the club and it's a sustainable model. That's why in 50 years' time, Arsenal will still be a great football club.

Six years is nothing. These spells happen. In 100 years' time people will look at those six years and say: 'To be honest, we weren't able to spend £70m, or even £30m, every year, because we had just built the most incredible stadium.' And I'll tell you what, when that stadium is paid for in 15 years' time and when there are 60,000 people paying what they pay, week in, week out, Arsenal will be in a great position. You make decisions for the long term. You don't go and cripple yourself financially and I believe Arsenal will be successful long after we've gone. If you buy a house, you're investing for 20 years of your life. And in those first few years, when the mortgage payments are a bit tough, unfortunately you might have to cut down on your holidays. That's the equivalent of what Arsene Wenger has done these last six years. He is trying to produce players through his youth system and trying to find them through his scouting network and it's a sustainable model. And that's why Arsenal will still be around as a great football club in decades to come.

Would any other manager have extracted more from those players and been able to draw so many young players through to the top level and create such a great team for so little money? The answer is there is only one other man who has done that in the Premier League. Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for.
Amazing, coming from someone who played under Fergie. A most hated enemy can see this but crying shame our own fans can't see it. much respect to Gary Neville that he can come out and say the truth despite club affiliations. |
coogar:Shallow reasoning, negotiations were still going on at this stage and it was not a done deal, if he was sure Cesc would stay, a simple YES would have sufficed to the reporter's question. Most arsenal fans resigned to losing Cesc ages ago, even the few who held on for emotional and rational reasons gave up a few weeks back. That had no impact whatsoever on season ticket renewals, yu're grasping at straws. |
debosky:You know Sharon conveniently forgets his considerable mastery of English whenever Arsenal is concerned. ![]() Krayola:Massive difference, I don't recall us employing Boris Johnson before we sign your youth players? ![]() your people almost brought the prime minister of Spain into this. ![]() |
Krayola:Cesc could never sign for Tottenham or even Manure lai lai, I can't wish the boy evil, difficult circumstances. Its the way your club went about it that was wrong and I think it goes back to the last leadership. Good, we can now close the book, don't think anyone came out of this with much credit. |
The earlier we sell Nasri, the better as well before that also becomes a media circus. I say we take that 20+ million. |
Krayola:Thank you very much, one thing I'm sure of is that we won't be throwing a pig's head when next he comes to the emirates. Difference in class you see. ![]() |
mukina2:Abeg make una chop chill pill jare and stop these emotional outbursts, the earlier everyone forgets about it the better, he is gone and no longer our problem. We may get up to 40m for a player we got virtually for free. There are different kinds of valuation, there is fair value and there is market value, we might not have gotten Cesc's market value due to the lack of professionalism from many quarters for which he is largely at fault for not being able to shut his friends up but no one can say we didn't get fair value for a player we got for free. Atimes I wonder what most arsenal fans want sef, y'all were saying he should be sold and now he is gone yu're complaining over price? ![]() slimshay:Immediately Cesc shut off other clubs, it was no longer a competitive market, they even had the temerity to not put in a bid and PHW had to go public that they'd not even bidded this summer while all their players were mouthing off and Mayor getting involved, that was when I knew we were in trouble. Cesc wanted to go back home, it just so happens that his hometown club is also currently the best team in the world. I personally can't blame him for that. If Oduatex back home was also the best team in the world I would want to go back to play there as well. ![]() I think the club tried that they even got up to that sef. Cesc is not a player you can send to the reserves and the publicity was already a nightmare sef. |
donspony:High five matey, I'm loving this. Thanks for the info. |
usbcable:Don't think yu have much to learn, with yur points tally, it seems yu'll be the one doing the whitewashing at least for this week as most people didn't seem to do well. ![]() |
Baptism of fire to come for Emmanuel Frimpong if Song gets a deserved 3 game ban Liverpool at home and Manure away. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Joey-Barton-stamp-could-cause-Alex-Song-suspension-as-FA-review-today-article785669.html#ixzz1V2z7AZvT Time to step up boy. |
Thanks for the effort Captain Fabtastic. |
Why can't they just award that OG to Young as an assist? ![]() |
montelik:Very strong a player, at a stage 2 manure players were bouncing off him. ![]() |
I'll be supporting Nigeria while keeping an eye on Sunu and Coquelin who play for Arsenal. |
Not one to jump on every single mistake but this De Gea boy has some convincing to do. VDS is yet to be replaced the way things are going. |
chamotex:Solidarity for ever. ![]() |
