If you be media man, would you carry that story? Maybe if you change the headline to - "'Manchester City and Chelsea to go bust in a few years'  - Platini", maybe dat would work grin. But seriously, who wants to read about Platini's thoughts?  undecided

@Arsene looking for a striker,  good news for me and many others who believe RVP needs help upfront. Although, Im sure by now we all know what Arsene wants to do does not usually correlate with what he will do eventually. case study - We've been looking for a CB since last season grin.
But isn't that what they should be talking about? a players strike to protect wages just delayed the start of the La Liga and Italy will have their own this week but that isn't news worthy while Arsenal's assumed demise is?  undecided how reasonable exactly is that and what will it take for people to realise there is something seriously wrong here in the spending embarked upon by the likes of city and chelsea? Long live FFP, it is the only chance we have of ever competing again.

You want to start taking everything Arsene says Literally again abi?  grin grin until that striker deal is announced I believe Arsene is just trying to divert attention from his CB hunt. January Window is still available to rectify that if I'm not mistaken, we need a CB like yesterday.

The media won't run with this.

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/948934/michel-platini-voices-fears-over-future-of-football?cc=5739

Arsenal in crisis makes them more money undecided, blessed are the gullible who swallow their nonsense hook line and sinker.

Now the media is gleefuly carrying the news, if this transfer goes wrong they will come out and accuse Arsenal of tapping up in the press when its Bolton who have chosen to make this public.

I agree agree that the group is not very tough but can you point out to a tougher group, the only one that comes close is madrid, lyon,Ajax.
Don't forget BVB are bundesliga champions and Olympiacos Greek, Marseille is also  a very good french team but I still maintain that Arsenal will top the group.
The group is not as hard as Bayern's group though, I would say that was the toughest group. I'm looking forward to giving DK's lot a grand send-off if they drop out.  grin grin
Borussia lost Sahin and Marseille lost Taiye Taiwo over the summer as well. I think they'll be good tests but I'm confident we'll qualify likely top as well.

I'm sure Manure will get a nasty surprise from Benfica, don't know about the other teams in that group but that Benfica team isn't bad at all.

I also felt Eastmond was better. Where is he now?
Long term injury, broken ankle while on loan to Millwall last season, should be back soon.

No be only Kaka, na khaki!

Lansbury should partner Rambo. How far with Coquelin sef?

If i were Wenger I'd "rest" Arshavin and throw Miyaichi in the deep end, nothing dey happen! cool cool
Still resting after the WYC, might be in the squad for Manure. I still believe him to be the best of all DMs coming through though not as strong in the tackle as Frimpong but more refined.
I kept laughing when Arsene was playing Eastmond, always knew he had no chance where Frimpong and Coquelin were.

I never doubted Cesc loved Arsenal, his ties to Barcelona were just too much. Samir's move was mostly about money.
So it is Borrusia Dortmund, Olympiakos and Marseille shey? we go qualify jare. Arsene can do that while sleeping.

One "super quality" signing is looking necessary though.
Right on the money, their president is already saying he is worth twice as much as Nasri according to goal.com. He also says no one has contacted him.  grin grin

These are the true Arsenal fans - not those wishing for the club's downfall just for their own egos to be satisfied.
I'm still trying to understand that section of the fanbase to be honest. As much as I dislike the way some people like Ian Wright react to Arsenal's problems even one could see the smile of relief on his face when we won. No matter how much one hates or has lost faith in the manager, it is wrong to wish the club failure just to score some cheap points.

If we buy Hazard, what position is he going to play tho with Arshavin, Gervinho, AOC & Walcott on both left and right wing??
I personally don't think Arshavin deserves a contract renewal, he has not stepped up in recent times as one of our big hitters and even Rosicky is looking better than him these days.  grin grin
I'll have Hazard down for a Central AM type role as well though I'm sure he'll also cope out wide.

follypimpi:
What people fail to understand is Walcott is not TH14 or a Winger. His an attacker, he cant dribble nor be tricky, all he does is make good runs and when he gets the chance shoot. He has really improved with his finishing to be honest, in a 4-4-2 position I believe he will thrive alot.
The finish for the goal was beautiful.

I would be glad and eternally indebted if u would read the history just like he has requested, infact the whole house should please read the history and tell us where the insults started from.
It is in Coogar's nature to insult people. He obviously believes most people find it funny and I think he is right about that. Don't take him too serious and you'll be fine.

am very impressed with jenkinson, reminds me of oshea of blessed memory
Same here, for someone who was a bit part player in League 1 last season, one can't complain about how he's taken to this level of competition and he's still got lots of room for improvement but I like that he does the simple things well from the onset, that was always the problem with Clichy and Eboue as good as they were, you just knew there was an accident just lurking around the corner.

Gervinho is the player I wish Theo was, what another buy again from Arsene.
Anyone still think we should have bought Hugo Lloris rather than give Szczesny his chance?  undecided
Rosicky still has some good things left in those tired legs.
Now UCL is assured, can we go get Hazard Plzzzzzz

Jenkinson might not be as comfortable on the ball as most of our players but he is very useful in aerial situations at the back.

Some good and bad injury news
Wilshere still out for 2-3 weeks
Djourou, Rozzi and Traore back in the squad
Koscielny may be fit for Utd
I suspect Djourou and TV5 will start, alongside Sagna and Traore. Oddly enough, no Lansbury on the plane, no Bendtner either.
That backline looks solid enough for Udinese, I wonder why injuries that initially look inocous always turn out serious for us, Rosicky, TV5 and I hope not Jack, when he went off on that day, I thought he would be back within a week.
