donroxy: I love Indigbo and I don't jump before I think so , sh:it will only remain @ the door of foolishMongers !mr lover read what you typed and ask yourself how it sounds... stop masking your hate, mr 'adequately and satisfactorily massacred'... you will get what you wish for |
OrlandoOwoh: You're confused. You just claimed the "sponsor haven't been named" yet your title says the Australian named the opposition party. Agadi nwayin you're confused.same way you guys are confused because the australian also did not mention ihejirika's name. Guess its the season of guessing right? He said opposition just like he said sacked military chief... then it must be apc |
donroxy: It seems you are recently born into this country so I won't be much bothered about your lack of sense on History and a sensible Southern Nigeria who is well acquainted with what transpired before Biafran war will be more worried about the consequence of Ihejerieka's involvement before such turns to another catastrophic history in the life of Nigeria !!satisfactorily massacred?so it makes you happy eh...? Dont worry, it will soon satisfactorily arrive at your door, hate filled nigga |
I dont know why you guys are arguing but the last time I checked, the australian did not mention any particular name apart from sheriff. He said sacked military chief... ihejirika's retirement was delayed to pave way for minimah. Military chiefs also includes Goc's etc broaden your possibilities and dont fixate on one man because el-rufai said so |
what i cant understand is why the diplomat cant be named ![]() bet there are a few more still strolling around under the govts watch... now ph has been seeded due to negligence and foolishness |
sisiafrika: forget d msg I quoted, was refering to d first post u made abt thinking d advice she gave was wrong... Why be on d offensive side?i wasn't on the offensive, read my text again, was just being frank, just having a say because i've seen several people take a long route to do the right thing for themselves.I just felt a drug focused solution wasn't the best, didn't say she was completely wrong but there are several causes of infertility, and a current or previous infection is just one of them which is unlikely due to any staph. organism. basing your treatment on that lab result will lead to treating the wrong problem... the guy may even also be seeing the wrong doctor hence the recommendation of a urologist. |
sisiafrika: mr antagonist, what is ur p? She always end her advice with a 'see ur doctor' note. Pls swerve if u cnt do tins d right way.there was no p and i wasnt talking to you or the Op, learn to read well before rushing to comment emotionally... the pt was taking supplements and was expecting a miracle, i advised him...and so what? ![]() the real question is what is your problem? ![]() |
demmy2010: hi pharmacist, after test it shown that my sperm count is 9million in which the doctor recommend that I should be taken addyzoa tablet 2per day. and I friend of mine that just came from USA bought fertilaid for men and sperm count boost. for me so I want to find out if I Can be taken addyzoa in the night and taken fertilaid and count boost in the morning is it possible like that for quick results and last if you have any drug you can prescribe pls do not hesitate .please see a urologist... you may have a surgically or hormonally correctable problem and i'm sure you're looking for a baby. those drugs you are taking are just supplements. just an advice though, you can take it or leave. |
zeezahbee: ask your friend to go for a comprehensive test and from the test we will know which drug she is resistant or ++. so from there we can know which drug she will use.despite not having the test, i think you can safely go ahead and prescribe on this one, there are standard recommendations for starting treatment for STIs unlike some urinary tract infections. currently, there's resistance building to the quinolones that gonococci were sensitive to... the current consensus is to use IM or oral 3rd generation cephalosporins + doxycline to cover for the usual accompanying STI organisms like chlamydia. ![]() let her also tell her friend to get used to using protection ![]() |
zeezahbee: sorry am just seeing thisi dont think this is right, the man needs a urologist, this is seminal fluid analysis result is poor and i doubt he has any staph infection unless he is severely immunosuppressed. it must be a contaminant from skin during collection. he may have a varicocoele or other cause of infertility. he may even need assisted reproduction like ivf etc... rocephin, genticin wouldnt help him and would promote resistance to these drugs and other side effects. staph doesnt commonly cause prostatitis which is a major cause of infertility, this result just cultured contaminants. quinolones are used to treat prostatitis. i'm not against what you're doing but i think there are a thousand scenarios to these results, he needs proper evaluation. also dont believe all the lab results you see... imagine that he has this result and his family is complete, is it still useful to offer treatment? no i guess |
McStoic: I have observed many of our so called docs here......I hereby give my award. dradebayo is the most cultured among them, though he seems to have a thing against 12 year olds. Phantom aka Phanty bobo seems to be a guy who grew up among market woman, he latter mixed with guys but try as he may, the frequent Freudian slips get the better of him......though I like him for one thing, he seems able to come to reason once in a rare while. Sainty2k3 is simply a tag along. He is that student who sits at the back of the class among bigger boys just to feel important. Say a simple thing and he will start asking derailing questions even when others have moved on to another topic. Dumodust is self explanatory, a mixture of dumbtiness and muscles, he walks around with a knuckle duster.........He will make a good bouncer to Phantom since ass licking is his exclusive preserve nay natural talent. Likita is trying to imitate what others are doing, he needs a sense of belonging just like Dumodust. Armadeo is a learner etc...... Pardon if I wasn't gracious enough to recognize you. Maybe next time.dont you worry child, there's still time for you to grow and get a brain, e go still better for you.... I repeat again, be proud of whatever you are and stop beefing those that are fortunately way ahead of you in all spheres, you will know them by the infantile ways they resort to insults during discussions when its not going as planned.... poop poor child.,ndo |
phantom: meanwhile leave us dem no go greephantom! ![]() |
McStoic: Hehehehe.....he fell for it. He thinks I believe him. Senior Reg my foot. Anybody can claim to be what they are not. I am outta here. I got some appointment to catch..... Caveat: Try and pass son, we would be needing 3 consultants soon. If you make it before then, you may get lucky. Afterall said and done, i have a junior doctor like you abroad who is sponsored by his family. Hence, I wish you well sha. Only quit the love of money.phantom is genuine and proud of it... as for you, go and be whatever you are and be proud of it #team sr going for part2 soon ![]() |
Cityguy: Truth be told, this acrimony is global but why we don't see as much strike in other climes is because the general populace served are better informed and take it upon themselves in some ways to ensure they keep their docs at work. In Nigeria, reverse is the case cos of ignorance, PHD syndrome and petty considerations. A Nigerian sees issues through his prism of his family members being in a profession or generalise from his experience with one member of an assumed 'enemy' profession. Unfortunately, he submits biased, tainted and unreasonable views which often than not assume delusional dimension. Maybe we'll get there one day but from what obtains here on NL, that might be centuries away.thanks 1000 times for this post |
Sunshinelady: . U don't know dese pple? All dey care about is money money money, d patients can die for all they care (but God no go gree)don't u care about money? Who the 'phuck' doesnt? Maybe Jesus Christ and Saint peter... I wont pay rent abi... no I must be at your side through out because I was born to be your slave. A job is a job, when you start offering you own services for free, I will start sleeping 24hrs 365 days in the hospital... besides that, curing hunger is part of saving lives- how many people have you given free food, money... ? Pls throw open your door to the streets... you cant be caring for your family alone #simple logic, you cant have what you dont pay for unless it is an act of goodwill by the giver on his own terms, not yours |
McStoic: Before I tutor you, can you first of all tell me why other paramedical students should sponsor themselves in their post graduates while the FG sponsors you lot in your updates and medical exams? Expound to me while you deem it fit that the FG should take orders from temporary staff like you lots on how to remunerate the permanent staffs in our health sector? Do the US which you people call upon as the international standard pay for everything our government bequeaths you guys? What right have you people to alter the course of another paramedical's career ala telling them how to or not reach the zenith of their profession?the guy asked a particular question and you're answering the one you set for yourself ![]() get the template first then ask us and them (other countries) why after you the renowned prof of residency program has explained... when it settles or come to naija, it must be different. just like all the fake titles hovering around, they don't call themselves pharmacist peter, architect John, surveyor Paul chief dr sir gabriel ...in those saner countries with those correct templates and visions for their health sectors |
phantom: I have been watching him misinform the public.I just didn't want to get myself worked up.I think its about time... I'm with you on that |
rhymz: Am sorry to say this but your argument is at best childish and touches the core of what this is all about; misplaced sense of importance and abilities, Nigerian doctors especially the ones just starting out always comes of with this arrogant air of being super intelligent and important than everyone else.Stupid emotional answer by you(ryhmz) to a decent objective response #beef |
rhymz: What a very misleading claim. Very misleading. The so-called medical history is mostly results from lab tests the doctor use in evaluating the patient. There is no such thing as a medical history without proper lab tests and results from such. So please slow your roll, everyone is equally as important don't try to make it look like a doctor is the alpha and omega in the treatment of patients, they won't even work without confirmations from lab test results. You obviously do not know what you are talking about or are exaggerating the importance of a doc.this is the kid of posts that result from people talking like they know what they don't know.... medical history and examination has nothing to do with results. We are trained to come to a conclusion long before we see any lab results or investigation we REQUEST for based on our finding. Lab results are not foolproof and are seriously error prone, even if you come with one, i'll shift it to one side ask questions, know exactly why you came to see me, examine you make my diagnosis before ever looking any any result and checking where and who did it . That's how you people go about recommending frivolous and irrelevant investigations for pts, pure quackery... you are very very wrong and you are misinforming the public,... pls talk about yourself and your training, if you are not a medical doctor, please stop making comments like we are even close... |
sexyexcalibur: listen to yourself... P.I.D z not even a complain... a patient coming to complain for P.I.D ..P.I.D z a diagnosis and not a complaints.. peddling lies to make make urself feel good.... y d whining... Oga jona don do in own, make una go consult now.... ignoramusdont mind them... PID is now a complaint...lol ![]() Salbutamol inhibits uterine contractions/spasms and is used to inhibit labour preterm so obviously the PID was probably a cover for something else |
Loool... this demdem guy is on fire o ![]() Just heard on vanguard that health minister is saying that docs werent sacked ![]() |
How many people do u nid to management the few ebola pts ... do u nid the whole residents in Nigeria to take shifts in yaba?... it is called an isolation unit for several reasons and I know resident doctors in lagos who are involved in taking care of the pts... stop yapping about like a politician and face the facts, ebola has now turned to everybody's bargaining chipYesterday it was sack, today its suspended... ok o. I don't know what you are reviewing but the issues are already clear, stop covering up your evil plans with committees |
the same issues everywhere- - take care of soldiers fighting boko haram and ensure equipment repy-no -pay students you abandoned in Russia reply- no -sort out issues in health sector and settle with doctors reply- sacks 16000 resident doctors but - come back for 2nd term reply- ![]() |
Samgreguc: From wot he said, the hospital will still function well if the consultants are been charged to do their work but, the problem is that the residency training produces the consultant and deleting it entirely means no future Nigerian made coNsultant....... BTW, d programme was only suspended.I had stopped commenting here but i decided to reply because i saw reason in your post. however, the consultants in my workplace carry out their duties well but they depend on residents with the required training who understand them, advance with the times and can increase the number of patients seen and surgical cases done per day. Worldwide, the concept of a medical officer without residency training is fast going into extinction in other to improve specialization and care, not the jack of all trades quackery of my father's era due to very few doctors and pressures to perform. I must also emphasize that a locum medical officer is under no obligation to work beyond his allocated time like most residents do and do not show the same commitment. they do not have the skills and may simply not obey the orders of the consultant leading to chaos. When taking up a locum, it is a time based economic decision that does not lead to better healthcare and increased output. they however help in filling up positions during scarcity of staff with basic skills at the level of the experienced intern or short-term specialist skill if their is sudden scarcity. we were complaining that we had long operation lists in hospitals, its going to get worse. it only makes administrative life easier for a negligent employer who will wash his hands off all responsibilities and jet off to germany for liposuction of the stolen money that has accumulated in their pot belly ![]() Suspending a residency that took painful long years to establish long before even 'Goodluck' was born, that required sending our forefathers to train and import the culture of the royal colleges into Nigeria is mad and sickening. The Nigerian medical colleges have progressed because of the doggedness and perseverance of the trainers and trainees who starve, scrap and borrow to sponsor themselves to travel to where they can learn some procedures and skills due to lack of necessary equipment locally which limits exposure. What exactly do they plan to change .?the change required is in infrastructure, equipment, funding so that those procedures people run to other countries for can be performed here. is that so hard to understand? But what does your president do? The toys with tradition he did not establish, foolishly trying to kill off the engine of medical training in nigeria including med students. Right back to the stone age... only made in nigeria ![]() brain drain is coming, even if it is too late for us to get out, i advice younger ones like junior residents and interns to explore their options because most came into medicine because they dreamt of being neuro-surgeons etc one day, we may even applaud when cbn and the judiciary are scrapped, because they are asking for too much...idi amin-like response to issues...lol... lesson to those laughing, no one is safe... ![]() |
bushdoc9919: What my colleague told you about consultants is not entirely true.....I work in a private hospital where the consultants are busy all throughout the week(and one of them even comes weekends). Plus...in a teaching hospital....if you are a consultant....you are busy not only attending to patients...but lecturing students, and training residents(which means coming out on weekends sometimes!). Plus...you have to do research, and keep up your knowledge by attending conferences, and studying(One of the pediatric consultants where I trained would sometimes come back to his office in the evenings, and do a bit of studying.). And if you are a consultant in paediatrics in the North....na work be that!bushdoc leave this people alone, let them think what they want... when they need the services of a consultant, then they will know... simple |
