digi101: Congrats! Thats just great ; Did they explain what went wrong with the inverter?

The one i got had a variable settable switch for selecting the battery type you want to use with it, so you can set your float voltage to match your battery type. Like i said this inverter is really smart and puts the cyberpower 3.5kva to shame! It actually feels a bit like a xantrex clone, except it dosent have all the bells and whistle to match a xantrex, and a xantrex is a xantrex!.
Yes it really does have a 3 stage charger algorithm, the pack includes reference table graphs for the charge & transition periods. The 2000watt model has a charge capacity of 70A which in my opinion is great. The bulk charging cycle draws around 1700watts. In the case of the 1000watt version that should be around 450watts max for the bulk charge stage since the battery input is 12v.
In terms of efficiency i would say its very efficient. It also has 2 "ON" positions: Auto sense (which stays in standby load when the system cant detect any load draw and sends out short pulses every 30 sec or so to check if theres any load demand. The second "ON" position is the permanently "System On" with no standby.

And by the way nope am not a dealer but i handle quite a number of backup power system installations, so am just sharing from my experience of what has worked for me .

Goodday please for the mustpower inverter that you instslled for your client is it still functioning well? Some installers here feel it is an inferior product with poor reliability and still say that cyberpower is still d best in d mid range inverters. Kindly advise

Brabus is handling my project. Matter of fact, today will be day #1 on the site. I know you all can't wait to call me a prospect victim or a "mugu". It is well IJN! One thing I forgot to mention about cyberpower flaws in may last review is the defective screen back-light. The screen back-light just disapears after few days of use on almost every unit I've seen.

in line with my post above in reply to dunka,

as part of my pre-upgrade preparations, i carried out battery rotation on my battery bank.
since i was already using a voltage combiner, it meant the rotation only needed to be done
within individual strings and not across the whole bank.

before this rotation, i had earlier checked individual battery voltages to determine their various
state of health. the results were as fascinating as they were instructive. over a year after
installation, battery voltages were almost similar across board and not only that, there was no
sign of early failure whatsoever, thereby giving credence to the effectiveness of the simple
voltage combiner - now rested.

below are voltage results of individual batteries arranged in strings:

s1-1 = 12.59v
s1-2 = 12.56v
s1-3 = 12.56v
s1-4 = 12.55v

s2-1 = 12.57v
s2-2 = 12.52v
s2-3 = 12.59v
s2-4 = 12.58v

-----------------------

s3-1 = 12.57v
s3-2 = 12.59v
s3-3 = 12.52v
s3-4 = 12.56v

where s1 stands for string 1, s2 for string 2 and s3 for string 3

after several months of diligent preparation. a couple of disappointments here and there,
i finally made it into the league of high end inverters with my latest upgrade works
over the weekend.

thanks to totalgreen who lent his invaluable assistance in acquiring all the dc breakers and
other accessories. i will always be grateful for his help as a brother indeed. Subscribed

right now, i'm still in the process of tidying up the installation.

i doubt you'll find anyone here with such. in time past i tried to rally members to buy into a deal that would have
significantly lowered the cost of acquiring 6v 480ah trojans direct from the usa but nobody cared for it and the
deal fell through. it was the more reason i had to make do with the zenith batteries i have at the moment.

uboma: there is indeed MORE to life than banking especially when you are ready to live a simple life, cut down on unnecessary stuff and be determined to carve a niche out of banking. I have no regrets since i left banking some years ago, only wished i had done so earlier. Same goes for some of my former colleagues who are into other ventures. Always have a plan B during your stay @ the bank and learn to save because your savings may be all you have left when the chips are down. Some of us learnt the hard way but with perseverance in other positive pursuits along with prayers, we can overcome.
