Junapril: As much as i dont want to derail this thread, i think its so nice for you to take out your time to bring out all this points of yours, funny thing is in few days to come you would have realised how far we have gone with this project and the stories i'm sharing now are the things that happened few months ago. We actually met so many people that raised EXACTLY the same questions of yours and even more. An old friend of mine who is a consultant, the M.D of Accenture also pointed out most of this points which made us address all these issues but in few days to come you will find answers to these questions.

Secondly, not that i have come to nairaland to actully come and seek for funds or advertise, i'm here to let my people understand and be part of this success story. I have been inspired by alot of people starting from SEUN OSEWA to SPYDER, IHEBROOKE, SKIMANSKI, CHEKITAUT, SEGCYMORE, AVENTURES, BRABUS, JARUS to mention a few of them. So, if you follow this thread, you will realise that most people that we approach are guys we have worked for in the past, and no doubt, if we did not deliver properly you dare not go back to them for any favour. As a matter of fact, a client of mine who is at a top position in SHELL first made me realise that if i could come up with an estate plan they will be willing to buy into it, that was as far back as 2011. So, i have a lot of clients that i have worked for and we share a cordial relationship.

Apart from individuals, which holds key positions in telecomunication industry, consultancy and oil and Gas companies i have worked as a contractor for alot of top Construction companies in Nigeria starting from COSTAIN WEST AFRICA, BRICK HOUSE CONSTRUCTION (that builds almost all protea hotel in Nigeria) CONTEMPORARY GROUP (the consultant at the Delta state international airport, built Nigerian Law School at Enugu and presently renovating all Globacom offices in Nigeria). Junapril: Thank you boss, will give that a shot even though we have a lawyer already that works in the capacity.

Junapril: So, we checked the land and agreed to go ahead with the purchase even though we did not have up to 1 million naira, i did not have the confidence, i knew i had to put up the courage even though sometimes it feels too big for me to say. We requested for the documents of the land and asked for the asking price. We got a CERTIFICATE OF OCCUPANCY as document and they offered to sell each plot at the rate of 4.5million naira each, which makes the total amount for the land to be N1,350,000,000,000 (One Billion, Three Hundred and fifty Million naira). I was so scared and was almost trembling at the price of the land alone. But we had something in mind, we knew everything is possible, we might not know how but we know we can always work round it. So we sent in an offer letter for the land to be discounted to N3million naira/plot and asked for the of being able to split up payment over a period of one year. The first payment was to be N300million initial deposit and the remaining spread over a period of one year. We sent in our offer while we took the document in to the Ministry of Lands. The Land document reflects that it has a Certificate of Occupancy which covers over 200 acres of Land in that environment. We were happy but wasnt sure if the land has any form of encumbrances.
We needed to pay for the advance payment of the land and hoping to get on site, get the place cleared and start building so that potential customers can visit the site to buyt upwhen they see the prototypes of what they are paying for. so, including the funds for development of structures, we were looking at a start up capital of about N500million naira
Now, the question was, HOW DO WE RAISE N500MILLION NAIRA considering the fact that we did not want to go through any bank because of the interest and the interest rate. So many companies liquidates over inability to repay bank loans and some would have to go hard on their customers so as to be able to service their bank facilities which takes away the ease in property acquisition as promised by us.
So, the only option we had was through equity contribution.
My partner and I decided to pen down everyone we knew could have up to 20million naira and above. We wanted to talk to about 10 people to make them contribute 50million naira each which will total N500million naira. We knew not everyone would pay all or some will not even pay at all but we wanted see what we could come up with so that we could meet the omooniles and conclude transaction.

We thought of how best to approach our potential investors in a way that would make them believe in our project and would make them bring in more people.
I started talking to a client that we just finished up the construction of His house, so he gave us a time to come for a meeting'.

But you know the way people are, from that day he stopped picking our calls except when he has something to discuss about his house and i just laughed because i knew it wasnt going to be so smooth ride ........ctd

The one i've installed is still doing great with no issue whatso-ever, infact the house had a nasty surge experience during a recent thunderstorm that took out the clients apc surge protector along with is LCD TV ; however the inverter survived responding adequately with a total system shutdown (the client actually thought it was fried, he didnt even try rebooting it! ). Like i said i havent used cyberpower, and at this point i dont think i ever will use my money to buy it, in terms of efficiency/cost i think the ratio is a no win for me.
By the way what exactly were the shortcomings other users complained of concerning the mustpower unit?

femiolorun: Mopower inverter workwork well with battery equalizer other wise one battery tens to deliver more that the other casing life span of battery

digi101: Congrats! Thats just great ; Did they explain what went wrong with the inverter?

The one i got had a variable settable switch for selecting the battery type you want to use with it, so you can set your float voltage to match your battery type. Like i said this inverter is really smart and puts the cyberpower 3.5kva to shame! It actually feels a bit like a xantrex clone, except it dosent have all the bells and whistle to match a xantrex, and a xantrex is a xantrex!.
Yes it really does have a 3 stage charger algorithm, the pack includes reference table graphs for the charge & transition periods. The 2000watt model has a charge capacity of 70A which in my opinion is great. The bulk charging cycle draws around 1700watts. In the case of the 1000watt version that should be around 450watts max for the bulk charge stage since the battery input is 12v.
In terms of efficiency i would say its very efficient. It also has 2 "ON" positions: Auto sense (which stays in standby load when the system cant detect any load draw and sends out short pulses every 30 sec or so to check if theres any load demand. The second "ON" position is the permanently "System On" with no standby.

And by the way nope am not a dealer but i handle quite a number of backup power system installations, so am just sharing from my experience of what has worked for me .

Goodday please for the mustpower inverter that you instslled for your client is it still functioning well? Some installers here feel it is an inferior product with poor reliability and still say that cyberpower is still d best in d mid range inverters. Kindly advise

One thing I forgot to mention about cyberpower flaws in may last review is the defective screen back-light. The screen back-light just disapears after few days of use on almost every unit I've seen.

lawyer: If both of you have a cordial relationship, you could both apply to have the C of O made jointly in your name. It will be disasterous if you allow your neighbour's name be the sole name on the C of O because it could lead to so many complications in future in case you want to sell the land or your children want to inherit it or you want to use it for a loan. Your Architect is right and i would advise you to heed his words.
