But I am also thinking it could be the excess oil from his head. ...if you have been anointing him like my MIL does to my babies. Since he doesn't have the rash on his body. Lo has been head down since only God knows when, so i have been waddling for weeks now. i literally walk from side to side (no jokes)
Sleep is now luxury oh. Lo wakes me up with hot and strong kicks in the middle of the night.
My ribs are now beginning to hurt on one side, from the kicking cos thats where i feel it most
My feet now swell when i sit for too long
Waist pain andj back pain is not bae at all. in fact, i dread it
I feel my belly stretching, it itches alot, but thank God, no stretch marks yet....i am using my shea butter over religiously
my n.ipples are killing me mehn!!! The right side itches like crazy, na so i use vex scratch the thing yesterday come wound myself on top. hmmm

I dont eat like i used to anymore.....as in food now feels like my enemy...but i de try to feed the boy sha..e no easy

I have been cleaning and re-cleaning my house for 2 days now, I have washed cllothes, arranged clothes, arranged house...dh is now tired of talking, he is now looking and just shaking head.

Dh doesnt let me go out again o! Unless he is the one driving! My mum does not live that far from us and i was to see her on monday so she can go to the market for me, after much toasting, dh agreed i should go, 3hours later, he don de call me. na so he come de calll call every 1hour oh!. lol. The man no just want hear say anything happen to him wife or him baby. I no blame am sha, 2 months ago, i boarded a taxi to go for antenatal, na so the driver want kidnap me oh! he drive pass road to the hospital, i come de draw him attention to him mistake, the guy no answer me at all, na it i wind down window begin de shout, before him march break drop me come speed off. since then, dh has limited my movements to market only. If i must go to the hospital, he takes me there himself.

Sugah he might be reacting to something. Maybe powder or cream. Stop all the products for a day or 2 and lets see. Not all kids get the fever. One of mine didn't have a fever all through the vaccination periods. Though it didn't stop me from administering paracetamol before the injections sha

I have 2kids a 5years old and a 2+. I don't know how I do it. I believe it's God. I wasn't even expecting that the baby would turn this early. It could be very uncomfortable so enjoy the breech position while it last. They normally will shift from the position before due date so don't worry about it. My last was breeched till week36. It was like 3weeks to edd he turned.

25weeks and 5days today. Still team surprise. I even got the best surprise from my kids telling me the sex of the baby in mummy's tummy (both are in agreement on that next argument is on the baby's name)
My LO somersaults over everything. Hunger,cold water, sweets and even at my dh's voice. We've been head down for some days now so waddling has been established

Hi everyone, its anoda beautiful month again o, how bumping nah? Sorry 4 d short silence, av bin really busy, we shud be in our 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th n maybe 26th week now, yeepeee! counting down to 3rd trimister now n i just cant wait 2 see n hold my lo.

So I had a scan n its a 'BOY'! ,according to dh "I tot as much!" wit a great sense of achievement dt d Radiologist had to wonder aloud if dia was a particular s**x equation he didnt knw about lol.

And OMG lo has bin at it, my tummy is now a mini playground wit all sorts of toys lyk my bladder, my intestines, my stomach n evn my jajaina, he just kicks at dem anyhow n anyway . Anytime my stomach rumbles or thunder bolts, he just goes on a kicking spree as if to say "what is that, i dnt get it" n I hv noticed dt he does a kinda happy dance at meal times n funny moves weneva am hungry, lol cant wait to see u my little prince, kisses. Pls share ur experiences mummies lets hv some fun. Those yet to update on edd n gender, mmm me am still waiting o.

Also lets strt shopping o, prices are getting higher every day n ds december may be hot 4 many late starters. Me av strted mine... do i need 2 add dat its sooo much fun? Especially wit dh catching d vibes n doing his own personal surprise shopping. Pls do strt urs.

Favouredmom I have never washed any of my newborn baby clothes as long as it came in a pack. I hand washed the pass downs I got from relatives. I have also not had any problem with skin reactions to the clothes if that's your fear on the washing matter

It is very normal to have mood swings. Part of the package. Includes vivid silly dreams, cravings (usual and unusual ), tiredness, sleepiness, bloating, gassing, and best of all. .....the pregnancy brain which makes one forget what you were thinking to do like 30 seconds ago

For the 1st time in this pregnancy, I have been having terrible mood swings since last night, I felt so angry at DH for no reason....I just had to go to bed early so I wouldn't snap at him.

Woke up this morning feeling weak and almost crying for no reason.

Enjoy your bump Sis. Hope you have started getting the maternity wears. Good thing going for me is that I now wear the mat clothing I wore for my 1st preggy. 2nd preggy clothing are too big. I lost a lot of weight after I had an ectopic pregnancy in October 2015 so it's a win win situation. I am 21weeks gone and weigh 71.5kg. ...started at 63kg. I hope to end at max 78 otherwise the weight won't fall off after delivery and breastfeeding.
Some one should give a lecture on healthy nigerian foods during pregnancy that maintain good weight gain not excessive weight gain

So I and DH got married in April, and we got a BFP in May.
We never had a honeymoon because we both had to go back to work immediately after our wedding (I lost that job a week later though)

Dh has always been unhappy that we never had the honeymoon that we planned. And now I'll be 20weeks 2mrw and dh has planned a 4day trip to dubai as a make up for the honeymoon that we never had. 

The issue is, I'm still having morning sickness. I still throw up practically everyday and I still get exhausted easily though I have realized that if I eat often through out the day, I always feel a lot better

Truth is, if we don't take this trip now, we probably never will as dh is always super busy at work and i know once the baby comes, we will be too busy taking care of him.

So I wanna ask able mamas here, is it safe for me to take this trip at this stage in my pregnancy?

Go for it my dear. Your ms is already under control....not as frequent as before. Truth is you might not have another opportunity for just the both of you again once the babies start arriving. I didn't get to have a honeymoon and up til today I sometimes feel resentment towards my dh whenever the topic is discussed

My dear tea leaves has caffeine in it. Researchers even claim some species of tea plant produces more caffeine than coffee plants. You can Google this up too. I still maintain that you switch to decaf tea if you really like lipton like that. Though different women have different body types so what affects one mama may have no effect on another mama
It's like the rule that pregnant women shouldn't drink alcohol. With my first I had a craving for cider beer(6% alcohol ) and I drank it to my hearts content. ...was buying it in cartons. My baby was perfectly fine and she'll be 5years in a few months time

Cappo Sixx, we're perfect! Thanks for asking. My EDD from first scan might confuse others, so better not to say yet. But yeah, I've registered for ANC and the nurse in charge only told me to expect to give birth towards the end of January or early February. Haven't checked gender yet.

This is my 3rd so I guess I will show earlier around 17weeks. I'm presently 20 weeks. It might be becos the previous tummy didn't really disappear. I was about 25weeks gone with my 1st before I had a noticeable bump. If you are a FTM you might not show quickly especially if you had a flat tummy from time. Bump or no bump the knowledge that you have a life growing inside of you is a constant reassurance. Just enjoy your portable preggy status jare.
If the bump finally shows I'm sure you will be wishing for the good old bump less days cos to turn in bed becomes wahala, getting up sef problem, bending down to pick stuff too na issue................

Though no one to take my pix yet so I can show at bumpy Tuesday EDD as of LMP is 15th Jan. EDD as at 16week scan showed 13th Jan still within range

Teabags actually contains caffein which is not encouraged for regular consumption during pregnancy. Excess caffeine can apparently increase the risk of miscarriage If you really are a tea addict you should go for decaffinated teabags like tettly which has a decaffed blend

I even experienced round ligament pain last week though it has subsided. We are 20weeks today......half way mark......yiiipppppeeee

It's about the girl living with me. This girl doesn't just listen, why? I teach, correct, pet, no way. She steals: eat my baby food, wake up early to eat before others wake up, finish fish meant to be taken in weeks in less than two weeks (I usually buy packet of fish n chicken n we fry it and keep, this girl chop am finish before I catch am), Hmmm, lie full her mouth, she dey piss for body, when I send her errand an hour will go before coming back, give her money for offering she will go and ask the usher to change it to 10 10 naira n drop 10 naira as offering use the rest to eat. Send her errand she wil return n say ' they said they don't have change', that change I no go see am again!, wetin no full this girl hand?

All the cloths she brought no longer her size due to over eating! She no dey see left over food for kitchen!, I hate to be too careful in my own house, I mean locking the kitchen, keeping this keeping that, it's extraa work for me, what do I do to curb her excesses?

She is a daily offender, and repeat daily the saaaaame thing you have warned her against!

List goes on n on. House chores not excellent but fairly manageable as I don't know the character of the next person I will take if I ask her to go.

I have one issue I need advice about, I don't like house guests, as a matter of fact, when you have spent up to 3 days in my house, I am tired of you already, and I don't like being an house guest either, o stay in my house as much as possible. Now, since I got married, my husband's brothers will come and just stay, and the very annoying thing is that they are very lazy, will pile up plates, leave the personal toilet and bathrooms in the rooms they use very dirty, room always unswept, they have never tried to even say "lemme sweep the sitting room sef", not even once, how do I handle this...I am yoruba

hmm mm if they are older than you there's nothing you can do till they leave. If they are younger you can report them to your dh but that's if you and your dh are good pallies I mean that your marriage is the type that no one can come in between cos some dh value their siblings more than the next person. It actually depends on how long you have been married. ....I personally will tell the culprit to clean up after themselves that the place stinks
on the sweeping matter. ....its your home, you got to clean it whether you have guests or not so you may not be getting any sympathy there.

Something funny happened to me this evening. I asked my son to come and touch my tummy that his brother is inside. As he was still asking questions and touching and touching, he saw my tummy move. He stood rock still for a bit with his eyes intently on the tummy. Next thing it moved again very well. He screamed and ran away shouting that I have eaten his brother that mummy should not eat him.

I have never laughed so hard in a long while.

What you are experiencing is your LO kicking. It feels like butterfly taps and gentle pushing around the pant line now. Depends on what excites your baby. ..cold water, meals,noise and even your voice will make them kick. Note that the feeling increases in intensity as the baby grows. By week 27 upwards you will definitely understand the meaning of KICKING

abeg i don come again o, make una no tire for me o, na FTM cause am o, i think i can feel my LO move, early last week the feeling was like someone tapped me 5 times just on my pant line from inside and the tapping was gone, toward the end of the week i felt same way again although i didnt count 5 distinct taps like the first time, but i av since noticed a pattern that repeat itslf everyday, so when i finish having breakfast in the office and settle down to the day's work,(office is always quiet) i feel what i will call 'painless spasm', or 'pulsating'( which is not my pulse) or 'twitching' or 'tapping' all on my pant line in front, and i feel it most when the band of my trouser is slightly pressing or when my bladder is full and when am sitting and its always during the day (pple say they feel it at night when they settle for d day). LMP says am 16+4 weeks. is that the feeling for experienced mamas? if its fetal movement, i want my post to re-assure mamas that are anxious, cant remember their monikers, but i remember @suzzy over worry mama, that such feeling might be our LO starting to move.

Good evening mumz n mumz to be, my 6momths old baby has had a flu for some days now. Cold runny nose, congested chest with mucus n cough. She cant sleep or eat without vomiting. She has developed an open mouth wid tongue out habit. Cos she has to breathe from her mouth. Please help mi cos shez lost a lot of weight n I cant bear seeing her like this.it hurts. wev given her zthromax dis shud even be my second bottle..someone recommended fluj

please see a paediatrician. You might need a ENT doctor too. Have you tried steam inhalation for her? Sit with her under a blanket put boiling water in a bucket add few drops of eucalyptus oil to the water and both of you will be under this for abt 5mins. Once you are done use a nasal aspirator to remove the loosened mucus. Finish this with a children's nasal saline drop/spray in the nose. She will get some relief with this.
Ask the doctor to check her tonsils. I suspect that the adenoids are inflamed

rub coconut oil or olive oil on the tips and start cleaning with same on a regular basis
