Why the name calling? shocked shocked Others have quoted a variety of sources in their bid to support their stance. Did you ask any of them to check the veracity of those sources, or the mental balance of the author? Is there a standard that can be applied through the internet for checking the mental balance of an author? Kindly share it with us, as we are not psychiatrists or clinical psychologists! shocked

I was not the originator of the comment that Uwechue was a secretary in the Biafran cabinet. The source where that statement was made, was clearly cited in my last post. Another source claims that Ralph Uwechue was the Biafra Representative in France. http://www./Biafra%20facts%201967.htm

However, what is obvious is that Ralph Uwechue played key roles in Biafra, and interacted with Ojukwu at close quarters. Apart from this, the comment that Uwechue made about Ojukwu, was lifted from his own book titled "Reflections on the Nigerian Civil War: Facing the Future": a 244 page paperback published by Trafford Publishing, which was quoted directly by the author. It is available on Amazon.
There is no doubt you have issues with comprehension. Even when given the whole year to redeem a little credebility, you could not fathom out that Ralp Uwechue was ambassador of Biafra to France. Where you got the bolded in the above post that Ralp Uwechue was secretary in the Biafran cabinet beats my wild imagination. In fact, I am not surprised at the craps coming from you on this discuss. By the way, anybody associated with a government in any capacity does not include him or her as a cabinet member.

No, you are the one grasping at straws and beating about the bush. I had made reference in one of my previous posts to show that the minorities agitated for their own independence. Another report puts it better.

While the Yoruba-dominated Action Group Party of the fifties, allowed the ethnic minorities of Benin-Edo-itsekiri etc, to have their own Mid-Western region carved out of the old Western region, the Igbo-dominated NCNC political party did not support the eastern minorities in their quest for a region of their own.
The above crap could only be strung together by an ill-educated bed-wetter.

zaicon1:
BIAFRA; A FANTASY FOR THE IGBO NATION
The recent agitation for a Biafra Nation after the victory of president Muhammadu Buhari in the March 28 Poll have been disheartening, the president got less than 20% of the total votes from the Eastern states
The late Biafra Warlord; Odumegu Ojukwu makes it more impossible when he seceded unprepared 48 years ago, in which the consequences was very severe on our Eastern Brothers, It will be a colossal mistake if you are agitating for a Biafra Nation at this period, although those who claimed to be Biafra betrayed their kinsmen severally during elections. Odumegwu Ojukwu contested for the presidency severally but got very few votes from his kinsmen who claimed to be 25 million in population. Few month ago, Engr. Martin Onovo of National Conscience Party contested for the presidency but they rooted in millions for a Minority Goodluck Jonathan, that was arrogantly mistreated during the Biafra struggle, while throwing their own in the gutters.
The Ijaw people are calm about the loss of their kinsmen while our eastern Brothers are lamenting of headaches from their loss, one could fathom the exact reasons for their selfish cry if Goodluck Jonathan had develop their region immensely, but it is just glaring to see the extent of hatred that our generations have for the North because of a civil war most of us wasn’t part of.
WE cry for Biafra! Yet we still carry the Nigerian passport
We cry for Biafra! Yet we still spend the Nigerian Naira
We cry for Biafra! Yet we still elect our representative to the National assembly
Former President Goodluck Jonathan was reported to have said that “The unity of Nigeria is not negotiable”, we didn’t protest or call for his head but we all hailed and cheered him as a national leader but the agitations became intense when we had a new President. We should all direct our frustration to our elected public officials that have been embezzling our state funds and asking us to be agitating for a Biafran Nation as a bargaining chip for them, while they have been sharing Nigeria’s loot. We all clamour for equity in the new administration appointment but we forget that the North possesses half of the country.
Assuming there was a Biafran Nation, The Anambra,Enugu,Imo,Abia people would all want supremacy over each other which would result into a divided Biafra. It should be noted that the former Sudan Nation didn’t have complex challenges like we did but they still broke up and have been in severe suffering on their oil rich land. Every tribe in Nigeria have their have their own peculiar tongue but we still fight for survival.
During the dying days of Odumegwu Ojukwu, He wished for a united Nigeria that will achieve great things together and never asked anybody to pursue personal vendetta over Nigeria’s unity
I urge all Nigerian to support the present administration regardless of our background and work hard so that Nigeria would be great again, The Federal Government should also endeavour to introduce programs that would further bond the spirit of brotherhood amongst her citizens.
God Bless Nigeria

Yet few dumbass dingbats in Nigeria will argue that the coup plotters of January 15, 1966 would have included innocent people in their death list. Some folks should remember that great number of soldiers involved with the coupe grew up in northern region. When these moronic ninnies in northern region of Nigeria were twisted out of human form because of the presence of Ndigbo, a Fulani from Sokoto has been the first Mayor of Enugu and there was no time either Zik or Okpara or members of eastern regional house of assembly made statements of such crass responsibilities as did Bello or Akintola. I have never had any desire to share a country with imbecilic goons from northern and southwestern regions of Nigeria.

You have nothing to say. Why didn't Jonathan do the transformation? The drunk never did anything in the Niger Delta. At the twilight of his tenure, after losing his re-election bid, he moved a project sited in Lagos State to his home state of Bayelsa, giving his people the impression that he meant well for them.
The above is arrant nonsense only capable of coming from a deluded Nigerian. Must the development of the any part of the zoo called Nigeria initiated by the elected son of the soil? Where is the essence of the so-called "One-Nigeria"? There must be massive infrastructural projects initiated in Bori , Opobo or Yenagoa in order to transform the cities to the standards seen in Lagos/Ikeja and Abuja. If the transformation is hard to initiate by government at the center, it is natural to allow the communities to manage the resources within their neighborhoods. One goon in Nigeria had suggested that the Daura Dumbass has every right to appoint ministers from his village. By the same token, communities in Nigeria have all the rights to take control of the resources from their communities. It is unfair that Lagos State is solely benefiting from the infrastructural projects erected by the federal government of Nigeria from the resources very alien to Lagos.

Lagos is n economic power-zone
Abuja is an administrative power-zone

What does Bori have? Sure there is oil and gas but that's too homogenous. Lagos is a combination of thousands of businesses. Abuja a combination of politics and some business.....

The only way for Bori to be on that level is through massive diversification which I am sorry cannot happen immediately (I am being realistic)
Who labeled Lagos economic power-zone? What stops Bori from becoming the second economic power-zone? The bolded is a silly hogwash. I guess it is true that Rome was not built in day.

That said, as an Igbo girl from Anioma, i don't see anything that makes me different from an Igbo person from Abia, Anambra, Ebony, Imo, Enugu or Rivers. The divide and rule tactics by the north aimed at alienating Igbos in the SE from Igbo in SS and to further emasculate the Igbo territory is nothing but pure, unadulterated evil which every reasonable Igbo man should kick against.

Sorry, they were stooges. Ojukwu still retained the right to hire and fire them at will. Afterall, he appointed them.

Secondly, Ojukwu was NOT against secession. He rejected all calls for a resolution of the problem, and insisted on going ahead with the war. Your link has just opened up and I read the source . But going further down, there are a lot of instructive comments made by other scholars in that article.

Kindly see one of those comments below:

This report in your link, totally contradicts your position that Ojukwu was against secession. even those who served in his cabinet like Uwechue, were aware of Ojukwu's plans. If he was against secession like you claim, why were those who expressed their dislike of secession, locked up under Ojukwu's regime?

Finally, Uwechue never hid his feelings about how the war was prosecuted. Kindly read his comments below:

Said a former Secretary in the Biafra Government, Raph Uwechue, "It is sad but instructive irony that Lieutenant Colonel Odumegwu Ojukwu, one of Africa's one‐time most brilliant political promises, was the man that led his own people with such a lack of ingenuity into what was clearly a foreseeable disaster." The tragedy was built on Ojukwu's inflexibility and the resultant inability to effect compromise on the political side. He fueled the disaster with his ambition, desire and ability to control the situation in Biafra. Ojukwu was fighting a war within the Civil War, as he struggled to keep and consolidate his position of leadership. And the tragedy was prolonged and insured by the divisive actions Ojukwu used to maintain his position of power.
The bolded would have inform you to check the veracity of sources and even the mental balance of the author before making fool of yourself in the public. It is safe to say that Raph Uwechue was never a secretary in the Biafran government. The man could have been in position other than what you want us to believe.

Is it abominable endeavor for Bori to be upgraded to standard of Lagos or Abuja. It was the federal government the built Lagos and Abuja from the resources uprooted from Ogoni land.

Politics › Re: Buhari Is Free To Appoint All His Cabinet From One Village – Pat Utomi by Duru1(m): 1:01pm On Aug 07, 2015
Dbrainiac1:
Former presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Mega Party (SDMP) and public affairs analyst, Professor Pat Utomi, has said President Muhammadu Buhari is free to appoint whoever he desires, as long as those appointed have the highest capacity to take the bull by the horn.
In his address, during an interactive session with Daily Independent recently, Pat Utomi who described the criticism as ‘small and petty’, said the president can make all his appointments from one village as long as those appointed can get the job done.

Utomi said: “Let’s get serious. Let’s get to move this country forward and away from all this small, petty issues. To me it is not an important issue and I don’t want to deal with it.”

“The President can appoint everybody from one village. As long as the people can get the job done, let them get it done. That is what Nigerians wanted and that is what they voted for.”

The Political economist also advised Buhari not to be biased in choosing his cabinet members but rather fish out qualified personnel.
The President has been perpetually criticized of appointing only his kinsmen into the presidential cabinet. Some persons from the South-Eastern part of the country believed that Buhari’s refusal to appoint anybody from the region was attempt by the president to punish the region for giving him the least votes during the March 28 presidential elections.
