I wish to relocate to Canada next year. My problem is how to go about it. My profession is not on the FSW list but I intend to apply for a Job as there are a couple of open positions on the working in Canada website. My problem is how do I apply for these Jobs? what are my chances? Has anyone gone through this route? and also how long will it take to complete the process on the average? Thanks. I am a Computer Engineer.

Politics › Re: Purported Attempt By Boko Haram Members To Bomb Unn And Another School Foiled by dustydee: 8:43am On Dec 28, 2011
An attempt to bomb the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, by members of the Boko Haram sect has been foiled by police and the neighbourhood watch, in Udenu local government area of Enugu State.

On the eve of Christmas, an alleged member of the Boko Haram was arrested between Imilike Agu and Ogboduaba communities in Udenu LGA, Enugu State, allegedly on a mission to bomb University of Nigeria, Nsukka and one other higher institution of learning in Enugu State capital.

A source who pleaded anonymity, said the neighbourhood watch cited a man with strange movement and alien dressing, accosted him for clarification, explaining that he confessed his membership of the Boko Haram sect on a mission to bomb the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

The alleged Boko Haram member came out of a forest where he and his accomplices had stayed for several days to buy cigarette but could not locate his way back to the forest before his arrest.

“When he was searched, some explosives were discovered on him, while he was later handed over to Obollo-Afor police division for further interrogation,” the source said.

He further said that the apprehended member of the sect also took them to their hide-out in the forest only for others to flee on sensing danger.

It would be recalled that earlier this year, the Boko Haram issued stern threat to bomb the University of Nigeria, Nsukka and other universities in the South East zone.

Contacted for comment, Enugu State Police Public Relations Officers, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amarizu, confirmed the report, saying the alleged Boko Haram member who hailed from Kano State, behaved as though he was insane.

The PPRO, noted that there were no explosives recovered from him as widely rumoured, explained that the suspect was currently in police custody while investigation was ongoing.

Please, read this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boko_Haram
Have you read it yourself?
Ustaz Mohammed Yusuf formed Boko Haram in 2002 in Maiduguri.[14] He established a religious complex that included a mosque and a school. Many poor families from across Nigeria and from neighboring countries enrolled their children in the school, which also served as a recruiting center for jihadis to fight the Nigerian state.[8] In 2004 it moved to Kanamma, Yobe State, where it set up a base called "Afghanistan", used to attack nearby police outposts, killing police officers.[15] Yusuf is hostile to democracy and the secular education system, vowing that "this war that is yet to start would continue for long" if the political and educational system was not changed.
they formed and started training people in 2002 because they knew GEJ was going to be president in 2010 abi? clap for yourself.

No wonder Nigeria is still the way it is. On what basis? He started it to remove Yar'Adua from power? That this question is being asked is an indication that something is not right.

triaophant:
dustydee or whatever you call yourself, stop talking trash when you know nothing about refinery operations. you are very ignorant about the reference you made and that is the Port Harcourt refinery. For some time now the FCC Plant of the refinery has been on steam and for that period, the refinery has been on profit making billions of naira for Nigeria. You only know about CDU process of the refinery and that is what is puffing your head. Let me tell you those who ought to know are aware of the refinery politics. Most of the best quality AGO in the Nigerian market is sourced from the Port Harcourt refinery, so also is PMS and DPK. I can tell you the last time PHRC imported products. The only problem is the power plant and I know that after the TAM of next year, we shall have a brand new refinery. Already the Storage tanks are being filled with real LPG and not the Propane that is being imported and sold to people.
Guy stick to the issue. I know for a fact that because of the problem with PPU, the FCC couldn't run after it was repaired. But my point is without FCC those local refineries will not optimize yield. Thanks for letting Nairalanders know you work in the refinery(you actually sound like an operator with your uncouth comment). Happy new year.
Politics › Re: Should The Goverment Legalise And Promote Refineries As SMSEs by dustydee: 12:39pm On Dec 26, 2011
to get value out of your crude you have to do fractionation. PH refinery has that problem as only the crude distillation unit works most of the time. Fractionation helps to extracting more products(petrol) from the crude. without it you just waste crude which is what most of those illegal refineries are doing and they can afford it because the crude is "free"(stolen).

@poster what is the difference? in Lagos you pay over 673 naira for less than 43km of travel while in the uk you pay 1350 naira. in the uk the minimum wage per hour is 1651 naira per hour while in Nigeria it is 102 naira per hour (if they start paying 18000).
