Please lets pray for Mr. President ![]() The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Umaru Musa Yaradua is severely brain damaged and suffering from a severe stroke, it has been authoritatively confirmed. Previously, it had been reported that he was dead. This was largely due to the fact that ever since he arrived at the King Faisal Hospital in Jeddah, he had been in an unusual coma in which he lay on bed the entire day with his eyes closed which led to some staff thinking the President was actually dead. However, it has been confirmed that the first family has bribed staff of the Hospital not to give information to the media about the true state of the President´s health. The President of Nigeria has been bedridden since November 23 2009 and has not spoken a word since then. He spends his entire day on bed, staring blankly on the ceiling. Even though his wife, Turai has been by his side, he is said to hardly recognize her and sometimes just stares at her blankly as if she is ghost. I don´t think your president can ever rule that country again. He is as good as dead,´ said a nurse at the Hospital who is close to Hodderway Books. He has not said a word since he came in here. For the first two weeks, he just lay still in bed and did not wake up for days. We were so sure that he was dead and that the doctors were hiding something from us. He is not dead but he is seriously brain damaged. I don´t think he´ll make it,´ she said. Also, the President is said to be suffering from much more than one ailment. ´He may have Lung cancer as well,´ our source said. ´For some reason the doctor has been secretive about the health of the President.´ The president is known to be a chain smoker. Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the phone call in which the President supposedly called the BBC to confirm that he will return to the country when his heath got better was a prank call. According to an anonymous source in the Information technology department of the Presidency office, the first lady and close friends of the presidency used voice-morphing software in which one of the president´s childhood friends spoke to the BBC in the guise of the president. The Nigerian ruler has not said a word in the last three months. Not even to Turai. He is in such a terrible condition that the first lady has been making frantic efforts to ensure that nobody sees him in the state he is in. Meanwhile, last week the Nigerian Parliament sent a delegation of five members of Parliament to see the ailing leader. However, the five were reportedly denied seeing the President as the Hospital staff was under strict instructions from the First lady not to allow anyone see the President in his deplorable state, Vice President Goodluck Jonathan was declared acting President last week by the Oil-producing nation. IT experts say they have uncovered flaws in the chip and Pin system which are being exploited by fraudsters to use stolen debit and credit cards. A team from Cambridge University's Computer Laboratory found that criminals can insert a "wedge" between any stolen card and a terminal. This tricks the terminal into believing the four-digit personal identification number, or Pin, was correctly entered. However, in fact any Pin can be used to authorise the transaction, meaning bank records then show it was legitimate. Dr Steven Murdoch said: "We have tested this attack against cards issued by most major UK banks. All have been found to be vulnerable." The discovery is likely to place some question marks over the existing chip and Pin design and its security. Victims of this type of fraud may encounter problems obtaining refunds from their banks as the receipt produced states that the point-of-sale purchase was "verified by Pin". Professor Ross Anderson said: "Over the past five years, thousands of cardholders have had stolen chip and Pin cards used by criminals. "The banks often tell customers that their Pin was used and so it's their fault. "Yet we've shown that it's easy to use a card without knowing the Pin - and the receipt will say the transaction was 'verified by Pin' even though it wasn't." Professor Anderson added: "This is not just a failure of bank technology. It's a failure of bank regulation. "The ombudsman supported the banks and the regulators have refused to do anything. "They were just too eager to believe the banks." source: http://dailyguideghana.com/newd/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=7769&Itemid=305 |

How possible is this?Is the office of the wife of the president that powerful? Turai vows to deal with Akunyili [b]…As Hawks plot to kill Memo Turai Yar'Adua Embattled wife of the sick Nigeria President, Hajia Turai Yar’Adua has vowed to launch a pound of attack on Information and Communication Minister, Dr. Dora Akunyili for daring to raise a memo asking President Umaru Yar’Adua to hand over. Akunyili had last week presented a memorandum to the Federal Executive Council, FEC, where she urged the ailing President Yar’Adua to hand over power to Vice President Goodluck Jonathan in view of the political logjam that has enveloped the country. But Hajia Turai would not take such gesture from Akunyili lightly. In fact, a very close family friend of the Yar’Adua’s told Pointblanknews.com that soon after the first lady was informed of the memo, she immediately called one of the arrow heads of the Yar’Adua kitchen cabinet and the Minister for Agriculture, Mr. Sayaad Abba Ruma, and complained bitterly. The source stated that the first lady had urged the Minister to team up with the Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Mr. Michael Aondoakaa to pressure Akunyili at the next FEC meeting to resign from the cabinet. Part of the plan, the source said is also to do “everything possible to frustrate her if she fails to quit the government.” According to the source, “madam is very bitter, she feels betrayed because she said she did everything for Akunyili including getting her very close to the President and now she has turned against her family. She called Ruma and they are working on putting pressure on Akunyili to resign or they would frustrate her out.” Akunyili’s Yar’Adua must go memo is slated to come up for discussion at Wednesday’s FEC meeting. The approval of the memo would further legitimize the resolution of the National Assembly empowering Vice President Jonathan to act as President. However, hawks within the FEC are strategizing to ensure that the memo is either not discussed or at most vehemently rejected. Ministers such as Aondoakaa, Ruma and Yar’Adua’s Special Adviser, Tanimu Kurfi are spearheading the moves to either kill the memo or reject it entirely. Kai!God bless Jonathan, long overdue. ![]() |
Gbawe:Yes I forgot that one.He is indeed a hero jimmysho:what has he done for our democracy?please justify his inclusion |
They(AC) are right but if the senate obey the constitution then we would have more problems than we already have. The best constitutional means of getting out of this crises is to impeach mr president which may have more dire consequences than asking Jonathan to act. |
^^^"for giving us our present constitution"I was trying to be sacarstic. He could have chosen not to handover power, see my point? |
