bgees:It's sad Nigerians are descending so low. I thought we would at least have educated people around here but alas what we have are those who are worse than illiterates. I pity Nigeria. |

Goodluck to them, But Nigeria is a funny place, people will still vote for him.come to think of it how many peole have access to the internet? |
Does it matter whether the governor is a christain or a muslim?Any qualified Nigerian can be whatever he wants to be irrespective of his creed or political affiliations. All the people need is purposeful leadership and the accompanying derivatives. It is a sign of illiteracy and foolishness when one region or race or religion begin to look down on the others like this. |

could it really be true? The year 1999 is considered the year of achievement and excellence for folk medicine in Africa and Nigeria in particular: the traditional treatment discovered by Dr. Abalaka, a Nigerian folk medicine practitioner, proved to be greatly effective in curing AIDS with an almost 100% success rate. This news was circulated amongst several news agencies, such as the BBC. According to an article that appeared in the Nigerian THIS DAY newspaper of May 13, 2002, the Nigerian government had refused to patent the cure.http://www.islamonline.net/servlet/Satellite?c=Article_C&pagename=Zone-English-HealthScience/HSELayout&cid=1158321473930 |
@dustydee Strictly my point of view from experience: The Gear problem could affect your engine IF you continue driving it . I would not advise you waste any more $ on that gear - Just change it. You can get a tokumbo for your exact model (Exact as in exact, not 02/03 or 03/04, get the exact manufacture year). Make sure the sensor tray that is there is not tampered with and that the replacement one will fitted - the gear itself and the sensor connectors connected too. Some mechanics overlook all those things and in the end you have a working gear BUT those gear indicator lights on the dash and gear knob side wont work/work well. After this step, then we can see whats going on with the engine side.
I have changed it o.The guy that changed it keeps insisting that it is not the new gear box that is bad.says its one sensor on the engine that keeps getting dirty.don't see the logic in that, so i went to seek alternative advice and thts where i got the codes from.wanted to use police to arrest that mechanic but i was advised to look else where and let him be. ![]() |
ayusman16:why the insults?the car was advertised for 1.65m,he bidded 1,2m is anything wrong with that?the price has now changed to 2.65 for a used yaris how much is a brand new yaris? |
@dustydee Its clear that the guy has the tool (sfx autoboss) but does not know how to interprete the codes (which makes him not very good for your diagnostics issues) - some tools have similar codes for someo errors while some have their own keys. Basically, you might help him by asking for the manual of the tool itself and then you can read up the codes and from the table set you will be able to interprete it yourself. Generally, I think the AT = Automatic Transmission, and the codes and your Engine code shows there are concerns in those parts. Why not let the house know what problems you are having withe vehicle in the first place; this might help in the toubleshooting. There also are other diagnostic centers (there is even one advertised on nairaland) where you can get people who can at least tell you what their computer says. Sultaan what do you say?
Thanks, when I drive the car for a while, the gear refuses to shift.when I decelerate, the car jumps as if the gear is abt to engage.whan stationary,if I shift to D the car shakes/vibrates violently for abt a second or two. Bought the car on nairaland and eversince it has been one problem or the other.Never enjoyed it once. Can't even sell it because of the problem(well, dont want someone else to go thru what i am going through). Once again the error codes are AT: 45-01,45-06, Engine :71-01,71-02. Thanks for your help.If you have any number I can call or any mechanic in abuja that is reliable(I have spent a lot trying to fix this car - I mean it alot that I dont want to mention)Accord 2003 model. Thanks house. |
I have this Honda accord 2003, gives the following error codes, please what does it mean?the guy said he doesnt knw yet AT 45-01,45-06 Engine 71-01,71-02 Please help he uses sfx autoboss |
i must be living outside nigeria, |
some intellectual debate going on here, good sign. |
adconline:that we dont produce cars doesn't mean we should allow those that do to kill us. It is not true that our graduate engineers cannot design circuits, we not only design circuits, but take it or leave it, we design processors so stop exhibiting ignorance. |
big up to Nairaland, I'm proud to be part of this forum. |
uncle sam please continue and let others assist you too.if you are unable to respond on time and someone feels he can help, then so be it. and I think they shouldnt open another thread for the same purpose.you are the king of this thread. |

He says you don't have to be a christian to be kind, compassionate and honest and to help people.true but then if christains as you said are hypocrates, what about someone who doesnt believe in God? I also question your love for God since you knw that he hates God and will definately not want you to continue in the faith(thats if you are still in the faith). For you to be torn between your God and a mortal man brings to question your faith, do what you like but remember if you marry devil pickin, no devil be your father inlaw, a word is enough for the wise.God bless you my sister. |
