You are an investor, not someone who can predict the future. Base your decisions on real facts and analysis rather than risky, speculative forecasts. Zhirinovsky: |
Bros, this your prediction pass ifa position o. It's no absolute dooms day, like it has been echoed several times on this platform, investment appetite differs, every investor must remind himself why he/she is investing. Get informed and stand by your position. Agbalowomeri: |
Unfortunately, na when we dey finish trading their own go start, looking at the likely reasons for the plunge, albeit other factors, it might be short lived. mendes911: |
Panic sell -off everywhere, just thinking out loud what if there is a reversal today with the Dow, is it likely... Let's have an informed position. What's your take people ![]() |
Information is a necessary tool for informed decision making, when you are armed with the right information, you will likely make a good decision as it affects your portfolio. The bulk of course lies on individual table. sellydion: |
RabbiDoracle:Hmmm... Men wan enter the bus by all means! |
The Land is Green is Green o o Oh! I salute everyone here, I think it's high time all the silent readers started doing the needful. My regards to all the active contributors on this forum, you guys have been selfless and wonderful. |
If you are determined to excel, you will excel your background notwithstanding, though your background helps a great deal in achieving set goals early enough. |
I would rather say, settle for your class, if you are rich obviously you will settle for the rich if hustling settle for the lady in that class, honestly everyone fall into a category and the truth is there is true love in all classes. |
These allegations are weighty, I think Buhari’s incompetence is a stench, how can one explain that all his appointees do whatever they dim fit and he looks away, he doesn’t care to even address these issues and they keep piling up. This old man should please go and arrest. When you think you have heard the worst ... |
Sadly, Nigeria will loose her to the western world. |
I love this... It's high time... |
anwulica:It seems Okowa is going to be the worst Delta state Governor . |
The problem here is this, whoever did this analysis can do well to follow through the plan, bbnaija is the brain work of someone/people who articulated and worked on this idea and today it's a huge success though it may not appeal to all, now ideas create wealth, impacts and rule the world if it is put to work, all I can say is if the person who ran the analysis can put that idea to work, he will be celebrated. |
excellence13:I got mine yesterday, releax you will receive yours before the week runs out. |
Godisfaithful:Just some salient points worth mentioning, CBN has been supplying Dangote refinery with forex, that refinery which is expected to come on stream next year is pivotal to reducing the demand for dollars, more than 60% of our forex expenditure is on importation of crude oil products-PMS specifically, Dangote refinery will effectively banish it as we wouldn't need to import anymore or reduce importation substantially, this will free up forex or other purposes. Now if the price of crude oil hover above $50 through out the year, which is above the budget benchmark ($48) CBN will have some dollars to intervene in the market at least to control the dollar surge in the parallel market until next year when Dangote refinery comes on stream. In between, the economy is already coming out of recession, FDI may just increase marginally. That's a strategy for CBN. Taking all in all, while we hedge against the Naira consider the ifs, it may not stack up in our favour. |
Amarabae:He may not be popular, but history has placed the monarch in that stead, just read up about Drinking of Agbor. |
Godisfaithful:I can't agree less ![]() |
DeRuggedProf:Money matters ain't a joke bro, those deals are well calculated risk and nothing short of cult ideals to be honest. Between you know how losing money on NSE looks like, you feel like a fool but then this NSE can make even wise decision look stupid. My stance is go for what works at the moment. |
OakPearl:Who wouldn't want to get upto #3 as dividend selling GTB and buying Zenith (GTB SP = #25.87 equivalent to 2 unit Zenith @ 14.59). I believe Zenith will push a rally from dividend seekers, but then the wonderment of NSE and GTB sentiments can hold sway. |
I guess they want to emulate Alpha Club. |
kennygee:God bless you dear. |
rebekah2011:what I know is this, from 9.30am - 10.00am traders can log in trades which is part of pre-market, from 10-15am, no trades goes through to the exchange, in fact it is rejected outrightly. Market officially opens by 10.15am, stockbroking softwares from different vendors handle this differently, so it is not a crime to place trades during these times as the software( trading machine) has been programmed to handle it. |
ExLaidback:its high though, 1.35 on both but you can negotiate the commission down if you command high volume, they usually consider HNIs and institunioal investors. |
kolaish:The saying that you don't value what you have until you loose it holds true for Morgan itrade. Having said that, they desperately need to improve on their customer care services. I think traders in this forum can help them too. Let's send them mails demanding an improvement in their services not that we are obliged to but out of necessity. My two cents. I use Morgan itrade and wstc-etrader- very good also betters Morgan itrade in my opinion. |
ayoolanr:Be careful of what you say, one day you will be in need of a miracle. God bless you |
EmmyBusko:can one leave his money after 30 days will the interest continue. |
stokfrick:I know it hurts, but give them the benefit of doubt, sincerely they weren't open to investors which isn't good, MC model is just too good to ignore, please I'm not holding brief for them but that stockbroking comm is just too good. At one time or the other, other trade platforms have gone down so let's just bear. |
locodemy:Oh, you don't need to buy a 1000 unit except you want to own those stocks and it mustn't be a 1000 unit, just thick the stocks you have already, it is an automated process, the registrars have a record of all the stocks you have. You cannot process E- mandate form for a stock you don't have as it will be verified by the registrars. Also let me add that if you have outstanding dividend to collect, you will need to write a letter telling your registrar to pay your outstanding dividends to your mandated bank acc. Note that if they have posted the dividend to your address and you didn't get it, you will have to wait 6 months before you can re-apply and your mandated bank account will be credited with your dividend. |
locodemy:You will have to if you didn't process the E-mandate form earlier. Each registrar have a group of stocks they manage. For cardinal stone for instance you can thick all the stocks you have and process the E-mandate at once. Cardinalatone do not need banker's confirmation and most registrars don't ask for it. The only time they do is if your signature is not regular. VERY important to avoid the stress of going to the bank to process your signature confirmation kindly make sure your signature is regular i.e the same signature you used for your banks should be used when signing those forms. Then make sure you follow up with emails, pester them if possible until they confirm to you that it has been processed. All the best! |
locodemy:The fastest way is to do it yourself, download or request the form from your broker ( stanbic has all the forms on their website). Fill the form and get your bank to stamp it, then take it to the registrar, all these can be done in one day. Your registrar will request you to wait for about two weeks before your bank account will be credited with your outstanding dividends if any otherwise you can process everything in one day. Stockbrokers take a Lil longer because they love processing e-mandate forms in bulk which may delay the process. Note that banks also process e-mandate, but they ain't hands on yet. They will want you to allow them process it for you, you may have to insist you want them to stamp your form only so that you can proceed to your registrar. |
