Basic123: ...put a stroke and add OBI beside where you mention if he is sick!...is OBI not a politician too?is he not human being,he even mentioned himself that he did surgery in London as a governor.
When you people mentioning Normal Nigerian politician syndrome stop excempting OBI,that is what intelligent anti-OBI individuals hate most!,he has never proved to be different. There is no atrocities committed by A NIGERIAN politician that OBI has never committed before from wanting to be godfather,to betraying his political helpers,to fighting with his precedesecor and successor to jumping from one party to the other to vote buying, to bribing deligates,to money laundering, to keeping his own children off politics while using other people children to gang up ,to associating with other thieves like Ortom,Atiku, madueke, babachir lawal, doyin okupe etc to lying and to negligence of duty as a governor! You're already offside from your first reply, Tinubu is the president right now and not Obi. I hold everyone to the same standard irrespective of whether you're the candidate of my choice or not. I thought you said Tinubu is a better candidate, yet you're lumping him with what Obi can and will do, something that Tinubu is already doing. The only pity is that we the Nigerians at home are the ones suffering the brunt of it. |

Basic123: OBI is a lesser evil to you. To us,OBI is the worst evil,a FAKE Saint!
OBI can also fall sick at any fucking time, he can even die before Tinubu (Although God forbid, they will both grow old and Tinubu will die before him, being older) but ,GOD DOES WHATEVER HE LIKES.live sickness matter for God! You clearly misunderstood my statement with the reply you have in this comment. Let me rephrase it: If/when President Tinubu gets sick, he will run to a hospital abroad to get better health care services at the expense of the groaning taxpayers. Medical tourism is something that has been in effect right from the time of kleptomaniac PDP leaders. I didn't make mention of either of those political figures dying, I don't know where you see that statement o. If the citizens are required to make sacrifices for the development of the nation, are the leaders exempted?? Ask valid questions and be objective about things going on. Hold your leaders accountable, until them this nation will never move forward at all. |

Klass99: Wunmi this was a straightforward question requiring a yes or no answer. Then if you want to elaborate or expand on your answer with an explanation or reasons, you do so.
This is the problem I have with majority of you married folks. When you are asked valid questions about marriage that can teach others a valuable lesson or help them make an informed decision, you go off on a tangent or lecture about, how, no marriage is perfect, every marriage has its issue, marriage is not for people who cannot tolerate or forgive..........yada, yada, yada.
Can you people not answer questions candidly without the sugar coating, deflection and philosophical answers? Will it kill you people to respond to questions with specific and logical answers? Or share hard truths and realities without dancing round issues pertaining to marriage? Why are you bringing a missile to a fist fight na. 😂😂😂😂😂 |

Basic123: Just like you spent all your penny promoting OBI ..while he was hiding his own shishi and children!
Your own Stockholm syndrome is complicated I spent absolutely nothing promoting any politician. I trust none of them at all, I can only recommend the lesser evil, which is Obi in my opinion. Tomorrow, your president will become sick and he'll travel at the expense of the taxpayers to Europe for better health care while he's taking steps to render the health sector unaffordable for average Nigerians. He's also taking steps to render the educational sector unaffordable for average citizens too. The subsidy removal is a commendable step to some extent, but is there anything you think will be done to mitigate it's effect on the economy and the life of average Nigerians?? The devaluation of the Naira is not just evident on the international market alone. Products bought for 1k about 2 months ago are now bought for far more than that right now. May we not see shege as things are going now o. I still stand by my words though, why shouldn't the leaders too contribute to nation building by reducing the cost of governance?? Or you think that it's only the citizens alone that have the duty of contributing to nation building?? |

SangoOlukosoOba: The political class have always been able to afford the best, and it still does not stop them from taking beneficial measures.
I don’t buy the idea of bringing the corrupt practices of politicians into the picture. Do you want a competitive degree or not?
Do you want us to use the points you raised to deny the nation of a quality and standard education? We should have worst systems because our leaders are bad. It takes more than just fees hike to make our institutions competitive. We shall see how things unfold. My additional comments was on why it should be the citizens alone that will bear the burden of making Nigeria great, are the leaders not one of the citizens?? If your president has headache tomorrow, he will go to Europe to get proper health care irrespective of what our health care sector becomes. You're too one-sided in your argument jor. |

SangoOlukosoOba: You still bringing pity to the table. You now for a better educational system. It's not an issue of pity, it's an issue of common sense. The government doesn't have any mechanism in place to justify some of the things they're doing. Will your president stay and receive health care services in Nigeria after he makes the sector unaffordable for the average citizens?? Will any of his close relatives school in our local universities after he has rendered our institutions unaffordable for the average Nigerians?? What happens to reducing the cost of governance of the nation?? Or you think that our cost of governance is affordable?? We shall see as things unfold anyway. |

SangoOlukosoOba: If you familiar and truth about the university educational system, you should be able to accept its in shambles.
I said earlier and will reinstate. If you lit standard and quality on the table, we wouldn’t be having this discussion.
We want a UI and UNILAG to compete with Oxford and Harvard, but not ready to pay the price.
If you keep bringing pity to the table, then you not ready for progress.
University education is not compulsory. We hyped it to make it look like. We shall see the outcome of that decision quite soon, you want youths that are demoralised concerning education to still run far away from getting educated. Hope you know that those lots you're supporting are probably products of free education themselves?? Very soon, subsidy on secondary school education too might be called to question. God help us all. You're sha on the side of the opinion that only the kids from a rich home should have University education, those whose family are employed by the government and getting paid peanuts which they don't even get regularly are doomed to their fate. We shall see how productive that idea will be. 😂😂😂 |

SangoOlukosoOba: No matter the mitigations you put in place, education can still NEVER be affordable for all. So the delay?
Even as of date, it is still not affordable for all. So because it is not affordable for all, we should make it more unaffordable for more people?? Common, you can do better. Once the figures of educated people in this country drops, then more trouble is looming on the horizon. Very soon, those poor Nigerians that constitute the majority of the citizens won't be able to afford going to hospitals to get something synonymous to a proper health care, they will resort to doing more of self medication or seeking for babalawos. And guess what?? The president will still continue to tour European countries for better health care. It's an unending cycle. Welcome to Nigeria. |

SangoOlukosoOba: The proposed fees are still not as expensive as tuition in any of those countries you mentioned, so it’s still affordable.
The status quo cannot take us farther than where we are today. If you demand change in that sector, then people must pay for it.
I will repeat again, the government can NEVER fund education. The earlier you realize this, the better.
Don’t shy away from what you will still have to face. It happened with subsidy. Abeg remove fuel subsidy from the equation, I'm not against it been removed. You want the government to give workers the meagre and unsustainable take-homes called salaries and still remove subsidies on education, health care and so on. You must be deputy Satan to even think like this. Do you agree that education and getting health care in a government approved hospital will soon become a luxury to people with the current developments or not?? If you do, is that a good legacy to leave behind?? What economic change/development/strategy has been put in place so far mitigate the effects of that?? What happens to reducing the exorbitant cost of governance to free funds for the state?? This is bullshit, ajé. I rate you more than this. 😂😂😂😂😂😂 |

OneCandleAway: The guy you quoted has brain issues. They don't know abroad local students pay far far less compared to international students. The govt makes a sector of the economy vibrant to subsidise local students education. I'm not against the fuel subsidy going, but what has the government done till date with the so called subsidy money they removed in mitigating the effect of the subsidy removal on average Nigerians?? They will still remove the subsidy on every sector with nothing to show forth for it. Very soon, University education will become a luxury most average Nigerians won't be able to afford again. We were complaining that Northerners aren't educated en masse as required, so removing the subsidy on education will motivate them bah?? Even those in the southern part of the country too are not exempted, people will smell shege in this present regime. I'm already a graduate, so if the government hikes the tuition fees it doesn't affect me directly, but what of the countless average citizens that this will have a negative effect upon?? So going to the hospital will also become an unaffordable luxury to people too, that's what the dude is advocating for. Some people needs brain resetting slap, ajé. 😠😠😠😠😠😠😠😠 |

SangoOlukosoOba: Yes!
What’s happening in the UK and Canada? Their health sector is almost getting stretched out and glaring it won’t survive next decade except they will have to hike taxes.
If you want to get the best, pay for it. The government will NEVER give you the utmost best. Nigeria is not UK, neither is Nigeria Canada. Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world. The minimum wage here if converted to Canadian dollars, it's less than 60 Canadian dollars. The minimum wage is less than 50 US dollars. Yet you want us to pay through our nose like people do over there. Very soon, education will be for the rich alone in Nigeria, you want people earning less than 50 US dollars a month to pay over 600 dollars equivalent as school fees. Health care fees is also there. Don't let your selfish desires overrule your sense of reasoning. |

SangoOlukosoOba: Nothing good comes easy!
If Nigerian universities want to compete, they must be autonomous, and students must pay their fair share
Nigerians are the only class of people who want their country to overtake the US, UK and Canada, but not ready to pay their fair share like citizens of those countries.
Also, Nigerians demand instant change and never ready to make sacrifices for gradual change. All what you wrote in your comment is balderdash. Do you guys even think beyond the stipend these politicians pay you to launder their image?? Next now the government should remove subsidy on health too so that our hospitals would be able to compete too right?? |

DeLaRue: It's laughable.
Every hour, Nigerians are monitoring Naira/USD rate even when they don't do any international trade.
Tailors, office workers, landlords, teachers, market men and women etc are discussing dollar rate every day.
Every time the value goes up by any amount, people's blood pressure rises enmass.
My sister has no business with the dollar, but anytime she calls, she will ask if I know that dollar is so and so
The slavish obsession with the dollar is contributing to making more people wanting to buy it, therefore destroying the naira.
People are just 'doing themselves '.
We are not Americans. Dollar is not our currency.
Why are we obsessed with this currency.
I don't think there's any country in the world where whole swathes of the population have deified another country 's currency. Do you want to know this is so?? Because we import almost all of not all goods and commodities that we use in this country. Do you think those commodities are bought on the international market with naira?? Since the commodities are bought with dollars, automatically those that bought it have to sell their goods taking into consideration the exchange rate at which they bought their goods. Forex is scarce jor. We can stabilise the Naira better by improving on our exports if at all we have any presently apart from crude oil. |
