omonnakoda:This dingbat wants to start using semantics. Oya show me an example of an employer in Nigeria that pays the salary of their workers at the end of each day/week?? Bricklayers on construction sites and other skilled labours like footballers are paid wages and not salaries, teachers are usually paid salaries oftentimes. Of course you can collect wages as a teacher e.g as a part-time teacher. Your blatant show of ignorance is amusing bro. You should add this to the list of things you've learnt now. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Oh my fvcking goodness. ![]() Adios amigo. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Gracious God, too much ignorance in one person. ![]() Please show me the dictionary that said both terms mean the same. You don't even understand the meaning of the word, remuneration to start with. Both salaries and wages are payment/remuneration. Get educated bros. Jezzzzzzz. ![]() Below is the Merriam Webster dictionary definition of the terms:- (1) Wage: a payment usually of money for labor or services usually according to contract and on an HOURLY, DAILY, or PIECEWORK basis. (2) Salary: fixed compensation paid regularly for services Below is the Cambridge dictionary definition of the terms (1) Salary: a fixed amount of money agreed every year as pay for an employee, usually paid directly into his or her bank account every month. (2) Wages: a particular amount of money that is paid, usually every WEEK, to an employee, especially one who does work that needs PHYSICAL SKILLS or strength, rather than a job needing a college education. Below is another source talking about one of the differences between the two terms https://grammar.collinsdictionary.com/english-usage/what-is-the-difference-between-salary-and-wages |
omonnakoda:I said HOURLY or WEEKLY rate dingbat. You've been screaming about an imaginary dictionary definition since and you're yet to provide a source to your dubious claim. I've already provided you with the definition of each term as found in the Merriam Webster dictionary, since you made mention of the dictionary definition. You don't even have the basic understanding of the keywords before you started to brought that Bible verse. The statement "for the wages of sin is death" means that the payment for all the sins you committed is death. Don't quote the Bible out of context. ![]() I'll drop the link to a source for you again if you're faking that you didn't see what I wrote up there. ![]() https://www.accountingtools.com/articles/what-is-the-difference-between-salary-and-wages.html |
omonnakoda:Which dictionary?? Below is the definition of wages and salaries according to Merriam Webster dictionary. ![]() Wage: a payment usually of money for labor or services usually according to contract and on an hourly, daily, or piecework basis Salary: fixed compensation paid regularly for services. Your ignorant self did not even wait to understand the meaning of the statement before you started displaying your ignorance up and down on a public forum. To fool Nigerians, all you have to do is put your ideas in writings and most won't even bother to have the basic understanding of the idea before jumping upandan like a bitch on heat. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Ignoramus and their hatred for getting enlightened. Below is a link for you to enlighten your ignorant self. Some members of this forum will never cease to amaze me. ![]() https://www.accountingtools.com/articles/what-is-the-difference-between-salary-and-wages.html |
omonnakoda:Oh my fvcking goodness, I didn't know that I was having a discussion with a dingbat. I shouldn't be surprised though, since you don't even know that footballers collect wages and not salaries to start with. ![]() Why not take your time and read up about it before you come here to show your ignorance. So workers on construction sites also get paid salaries and a fixed amount of money irrespective of whether they're at work or not?? Are you saying that teachers in government schools and labourers get the same structure of payment?? Too much ignorance in one person. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Bros, you're free to consult the internet and read up on it. This is something I've known for a long time and it's common knowledge. Wages are actually fixed on a hourly or sometimes daily rate, meaning that you only get paid for the period you're at work. Salaries are only fixed but not with regards to hourly work. e.g As a worker collecting wages, I won't get payment for Sunday if I didn't come to work on Sunday. If I work for 4 hours then I'll get paid for it and not more except if I work overtime (a good example of this is a bricklayer working as a labourer on a construction site, he/she usually gets paid at the end of each working day or at most at the end of the week. If he only comes to work for 28 days then he'll only get payment for 28 days). Salary earners get paid the same amount even when there's an holiday and they couldn't come to work (a vivid example of this is a teacher. Teachers are paid the same amount at the end of every month even when the number of days they work each month is different. Teachers may work for 21 days in some months or 23 days in others yet they get paid the same amount. Meaning that there's no direct link between the hours used at work and the pay, they always get paid a fixed amount per pay period which is usually monthly). "Please pardon, the lack of paragraph or coherence in my reply" I pray you understand the example given o. |
mmadu5:Where's my own part of the loot?? ![]() |
Pells1:That Siofry, Pocolee, BlessedPessi8 and Onyii na ebening newspapers dem be, ebening newspapers. ![]() |
Vintage100:Did I mention Obasanjo, Jonathan or PDP in my comment?? In your myopic minds, so only PDP members are allowed to express their disappointment in this current administration?? Why is it that all you urchins lose your thinking faculty once you join that devilish party called APC?? All you and your devilish and demonic party have been doing since 2015 is give us excuses on the misdeeds of the past corrupt regimes while the situation of the country continue to worsen like before. For your information, we voted you guys in cos you promised us change and a better Nigeria, in sectors like the educational, economic, health sectors and you promised to improve the welfare of the common man, improve security of lives and properties etc. Unfortunately till date, the government has failed woefully in all the areas that I mentioned, corrupt officers are still left in office (e.g Mr Gandollar), no improvement in the educational sector, job creation and business viability is zero etc. I'm definitely ashamed of campaigning for you lots in 2015. Empowering youths with 30k that is not even regular. ![]() Whenever we bring your attention to this, then you become defensive and start bringing the past corrupt regimes as a defence. Is this the change you promised Nigerians in 2015?? Abi is Nigeria's problem spiritual?? All Nigerian politicians are corrupt and thieves, including PDP, APC and even labour party too. We will continue to battle with this problem since all we've been doing for decades now is recycle old and corrupt politicians like Bubu, City boy, Peter Obi etc. In addition to everything I wrote, the only way out for this country is for us the citizens to put loyalty to the country above loyalty to political leaders, if not then we'll continue to make decisions that are at the detriment of our national growth and we'll continue to wallow in despair. Adios. |
omonnakoda:Wages are usually calculated on a hourly or weekly basis (like a get paid as you work scheme), while salaries are usually paid at the end of the calendar month. Imagine your employers paying you at the end of each working day or at the end of each working week. |
LordviccoDaGuru:Even Buhari and your fellow asslickers have never made that statement you wrote, Buhari is the best president at pulling Nigeria backward. ![]() |
omonnakoda:Footballers are eligible to get paid at the end of a week. Imagine a player collecting almost £1 million every 7 days, even ritual money no reach that level. ![]() Also, money from being ambassadors, face ads etc too are there o. Al Nassr recently offered Ronaldo about $200 million contract spanning just for 7 years. That huge amount for a player that is already 37 and not in top form again. ![]() |
LordviccoDaGuru:This one don dey yarn dust as usual, even the world's total population is not up to 20 billion and you're talking about 400 billion Nigerians. The same Nigeria that has become the poverty capital of the world. ![]() |
Day169:I remembered how some dingbats were hailing the Talibans months ago when Uncle Sam decides to withdraw all her troops. I told one of them to relocate to Afghanistan and enjoy the dividends of the Talibans coming to power. Like all these draconian laws in this age and era? ![]() |
omonnakoda:Footballers like Messi playing in top leagues collect wages and not salary. Their payment is calculated on a weekly basis. |
dominique:It's just a tiny hole that can be straightened with hands by pressing o. It's almost difficult to see the hole sef. |
blaquebelle:They don't have to since they didn't open it to start with. I've personally witnessed it live before. The end of the cone is pointed like a needle, it will just be as if you pinched the bag of rice with a needle. But the other end is big and they can afford to remove as many quantity of rice as they want without opening the bags. |
PastorOku:Na you dey craze bobi. They promised you jobs and not crumbs yet you're here defending rubbish. ![]() |

Moura7:Merry Christmas OP, we hope to see your updates drop consistently during this period. Cheers. |
Moura7:Not a fan of Nigerian movies, sorry I can't relate with the example given. ![]() |
Bukky001:Hi, please delete your WhatsApp number from the reply. I've added you on WhatsApp. I've lost the login details of the email I used to open this moniker. |
smokinloud:In other words, Buhari was voted in to continue the tradition of lies, corruption and looting laid down by PDP. ![]() |
Bukky001:Probably. I remembered been told by a fellow corp member that a lady ex-corp member still stays at Udi. I was the landlord at the corper's lodge that time, although I'm not really that outgoing so it might be a little difficult to have had a chat with me. How's Udi anyway?? And how are you doing ma'am?? |
Houseofglam7:Who cares about being noticed by you?? Why are you triggered by what that guy said though, is there any truth to what he said?? ![]() |
Houseofglam7:Maybe. But wait, so you're an unmarried woman whose virginity is history. Triggered. ![]() |
