vicadex07: Those are mostly federal roads fool...Mention was not made of that Besides are other states that are helping their citizens by reconstructing those roads stewpid? Cry to the right people. |
I'm guessing your LGA Chairman and state governor are still alive. Charity begins at home. |
babyosisi: Are you evading the question? If the tap was running will the toilets be in that state? If the schools were maintained, will the hostels be in that sorry state? It is a temp site and is not expected to be state of the art but this simply shows what a regular Oyo state student passes through. |
babyosisi: [size=18pt]Thank you soooooo much. We are not used to blindly singing our governors' praises. We prefer to keep them on their toes. It works better that way. T. A. Orji is a failure. He must retire now and face EFCC not steal his way into the senate. Abians take note! |
OgeJesus: HOW ABOUT SECURITY? THE STATE GOVERNMENT HAS TAKEN UPON ITS SELF TO PROVIDE ADEQUATE SECURITY FOR THE PEOPLE OF ABIA. TODAY ABIA IS SECURED, NO MORE KIDNAPPING, NO MORE ARM ROBBERY, ALL HAS BEEN REDUCED TO THE BEAREST MINIMUM. ABIA IS CRIME FREE ![]() Looks like you like suffering. T. A. Orji is now putting up machinery in place to get into the senate, if you like blindly support him to continue violating your state. Unbeknownst to the OP of this thread, most people careless about T. A. Orji in fact we all join you to explicitly condemn his failure of a government. It is left for you to wake up and look around your poverty ridden state and demand better governance. |
How can human beings thrive in such conditions. ![]() What will it take to erect permanent structures across all states for NYSC members? This is one aspect I will say the northern states are better, their camps seem to be the most habitable. They have gone ahead to improve the condition of the schools used as camps and some have erected permanent sites. As for Oyo state, I am not surprised cause you cannot give what you do not have. |
okparaugo: Service is only done once in Nigeria.Lol! ![]() I was only being figurative, you should be smart enough to understand. Unless you are just being sarcastic. |
The reportage on Ebola cases from our media houses have been abysmal. The public also needs to understand certain terminologies that are used which may sound like simple English but convey a specific meaning when used by a healthcare professional. Suspected cases and laboratory confirmed cases are different. There are also alert cases, contacts (primary, secondary) Who is a suspected Ebola Case? SUSPECTED CASE (During an outbreak): Any person, alive or dead, suffering or having suffered from a sudden onset of high fever and having had contact with: - a suspected, probable or confirmed Ebola case; - a dead or sick animal (for Ebola) OR: any person with sudden onset of high fever and at least three of the following symptoms: • headaches • vomiting • anorexia / loss of appetite • diarrhoea • lethargy • stomach pain • aching muscles or joints • difficulty swallowing • breathing difficulties • hiccup OR: any person with inexplicable bleeding OR: any sudden, inexplicable death. LABORATORY CONFIRMED CASE: Any suspected or probably cases with a positive laboratory result. who.int/csr/resources/.../ebola/ebola-case-definition-contact-en.pdf Just want to add The term suspected case is broad and maybe misunderstood by the lay person, but should be taken very seriously esp contacts, However the persons may NOT have Ebola. |
OP your source is EXTREMELY unreliable. And no right thinking doctor can make such pronouncements to the media without authority from the ministry which will definitely not be to a senior registrar on strike. The person may well lose his licence. Waiting for a real source. |
APC FG has tried but the ministry of health needs to be on her toes. |

The way these media houses have been headlining Ebola stories is misleading. These cases have been under surveillance all along. Besides one new suspected case. In any case i wonder what it will take to do confirmatory test on all the contacts. The media needs to be CLEAR in its reportage. The ministry of health needs to give accurate unambiguous information. |
They are contacts that have been under surveillance. And a new suspected case. The way these media houses have been headlining Ebola stories have been so misleading. |
220billion!!! Is that what he is going to use and seal his ambition to get into the senate ? ![]() Or as backup in case he doesn't. ![]() |
omicron: In terms of commerce and developments, onitsha has always been the bigger horse. Commercially, is it true and right that onitsha has expanded to Asaba, but never in terms of geography (which was what your earlier assertion appeared to suggest).I believe you now understand me. On the bolded, I think it is the other way round(Onitsha is boosting and sustaining Asaba even industrially). But it is a chicken and egg kind of argument that can be right both ways. Just picture a hypothetical transposition of Enugu with AIIA the hotels, malls and all in the place of Asaba. What would be the outcome? Or more realistically a 20 minute bullet train commute. |
omicron: I thought you understood the correction Afam tried to give you.You are partly right but i think i understand his perspective. Asaba before it was made the state capital owes its economic relevance to Onitsha. If not for Onitsha, Asaba's economic relevance will be comparable to Awka, there is no arrogance in that. Asaba gained additional influence when it was made a state capital, before then it was grossly overshadowed by Onitsha and even considered a suburb. This happened not only to Asaba but other surrounding towns, and they too may not be happy about it but it is a fact. These towns have somewhat merged. Asaba by virtue of being made the state capital however became revived once again. |
Akmarshal: that's very disrespectful of u! just say wat u want to say without insulting these people! I don't like their kind of politics either! can we revolutionalise dis site by dishing out better comments n observations while we aspire to grow ourselves n d nation? If only you felt this bad when GEJ and others are cursed then I would not have called you a hypocrite. |
They have all been "flushed out". But the clear and present danger is that the most corrupt coalition between a frog eyed looting midget and an asthenic jihadist, wants to seize power at all cost and this we must resist.

borga112: Whats the population of Ghana and Nigeria? You should give up. ![]() We are talking about percentages here. 20% for Ghana means 20 out of 100 people have internet access in Ghana 29% for Nigeria means 29 out of 100 people have internet access in Nigeria |
Evergreen123: That's why he went tO fetch a better deal for enugu.Nne e be like say na your brother ![]() You know he was very controversial. |
OP This is 2014 ![]() How long did you keep them ![]() They would have finished serving again by now. |
doctokwus: How can a senior registrar make dat kind of announcement.Meanwhile govt doctors are on strike and clueless fg has suspended d residency programme,so which hosp was dis dr working in wen he discovered dis case and given d authority he doesn't av to make it public?Exactly! The story is full of holes. |
T. A. Orji has always been the worst governor in the world. So the the topic should read " Apart from T.A. Orji who is the worst performing governor?" |
abagoro: Knowledge is very important for any one to make useful contribution. Based on old census from the 60s Ogbomosho was then one of the largest cities in Nigeria but it has dropped today as evidenced from the last 2006 census. This is the NPC ranking of Nigerian cities and urban areas by population. Onitsha for example has a much smaller city population when compared with urban population which if included pushes it up to the 7th position. This is exactly the same very controversial census figures we are talking about. Yes Kano is by far bigger than Enugu but you cannot tell me Onitsha and Ogbomosho have almost the same population and Oyo town is more populated than Enugu that is just ludicrous. |
Afam4eva: Haba bros, how can Onitsha comprise of a city outside the state of Anambra. Where's that done? Asaba and Onitsha are two different cities irrespective nof how intertwined they are. Asaba is the capital of another state and has nothing to do with Onitsha save for the closeness. let's stop this delusion.Yes that is exactly what cornubations are different towns/cities merging with one or two being dominant in this case Onitsha and Asaba. |
Gbawe: "Shabby" only to a semi-illiterate and pitiful ignoramus like you. You are a disgrace to your nation with how, before non-Nigerians reading, you are not ashamed to display myopic bad belle which exposes hideous ignorance and pathetic lack of knowledge. You are an example of a youth worthless to Nigeria because of your preference for blind hatred of others instead of embracing the path of enlightenment/personal development and a dedication to being part of the solution through knowledge acquisition.Don't get yourself all worked up. I have been to water treatment plants and the pictures I see their remain shabby. Maybe it is camera but I am simply not impressed. |
cjrane: I have been to both Kano and Enugu and I know Kano is definitely bigger than Enugu in landmass. That is where the advantages end.Aside from roads put there by successive military juntas, it is more of comparing a huge slum to a proper city. Everything else is a hype! That Ogbomosho lie always makes me wonder aloud. We need to update our statistics. With problems that stem from census in Nigeria, we maybe living with such lies for a long time. |
Afam4eva: You are indirectly belaboring my point. Why should Asaba be a surburb of Onitsha. Can't Onitsha itself have surbubs within? That's my point. Asaba can be a surburb of Onitsha but it will never be counted as Onitsha. Some parts of Maryland, USA are called surburbs of Washington DC but they're never counted as DC.Present day Onitsha is not actually just Onitsha it is actually more of a cornubation comprising Onitsha, Mkpor, Obosi, Oba, Umuoji, Asaba etc The actual Onitsha has a very small landmass and will better support an industrial district with the other small towns serving as residential suburbs. |
