These are the 30 most globalised cities in the world chosen from different regions.

You are the one living in denial here the quality of life in Lagos is abysmal compared to world standards and you don't need any ranking to even deduce that.
We should seek for ways to improve it and not blaming others for our flops. The indices for assessment are clear.

Even if the list added twenty more global cities Lagos will still sink to the bottom.

Is Munich not a ''global city''? Are Rome, Vienna, Miami, Seattle, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Copenhagen etc not ''global cities''? Why are they not on the list? They had to reserve space at ''No 30'' to place you 'last' and 'worst'. Can't you see that? They always do this. In truth, there should be no space for Lagos on that list, if we are talking of those measurement indices used in the so-called survey.

The cities chosen are major regional centres of commerce and population. If you look closely you will notice that all subcontinents are represented Milan is the major economic centre in Italy, Berlin for Germany, London for UK, Madrid for Spain, Amsterdam for Holland, Moscow Russia and Stockholm for the Scandinavia and these are Europe's largest economies ;
NY, LA, San Francisco and Chicago with Toronto and Mexico city for North America
Sao Paulo, Rio, Bogota for South and Central America.
Johannesburg and Lagos are the major players in Africa. Cairo may have been included and it will still beat Lagos.

Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Jarkata, Seoul for SE Asia

Mumbai, Shanghai, Beijing, Tokyo for Indochina and Japan.

Dubai for the middle east.

Sydney for Australia

These cities were carefully and purposefully chosen because of the regions and countries they are within and their unique diversity and some were left out to avoid duplicity or because they were not seen as global enough.

When someone presents you with a ''list'' of 30 cities with yours at the bottom, you need to ask them WHY they have a list of 30, instead of 35, 40, 50, 60, or 100. Why dis they stop at 30 with your city, to make it appear your city is the worst in the world? Use our brain.

was conducted in December 2015, before Britain's
shock Brexit verdict.
Paris was the runner up, scoring top with regards to
cultural influence, including attractions and cultural
trendsetting, and was in the top-three-ranked cities in
terms of entertainment and cuisine.
New York, which came third, was viewed overall as the
'leader' for its economic influence and ability to
provide easy access to capital.

Any country whose executive starts toying with separation of powers and starts justifying unlawful raids in the guise of arrest while flaunting laid down rules of how to tackle the judiciary is sliding into tyranny.

Nigeria is fast descending into tyranny.

The fight against corruption is highly targeted and selective. While some of the most corrupt Nigerians like Amechi and Tinubu are overlooked and rewarded with positions despite gross evidence against them, others in the opposition are being hounded to death.

We then wonder why our economy is not making any progress.

Buhari is replaying the same old script that led to his ousting as military president.

The fight against corruption is supported but must not be selective and must be done under the rule of law.

From the little I know on the matter, the State Government put forward a proposal to relocate the market from there to somewhere else due to over congestion, traffic and waste management issues. The Market Union got an injunction barring the State Government from demolishing the Market. So the State government decides to leave the Market alone.

Here is how I would have handled it;

I will leave the Market alone. Let them sort out their waste management, security, electricity, water, e.t.c...

Heavily tax the Market as well. Anybody caught parking illegally, disposing waste on the streets, jaywalking or loitering will be arrested and fined or jailed. I will use any means necessary to force that market out of there. make it uneasy for the Market to thrive.


That fhucking Market has got to go.. Any honest person would agree with that.

We are running a democracy here not some autocracy

The case is in court and the executive must respect that.
They have no right whatsoever to armtwist the people into submission. It is despicable.

It doesn't matter how they feel about it, their duty is to make the best of the court decision whatever it is.

The people have a right to make decisions on issues based on what will benefit them. That road has deteriorated drastically in the past 15 months.

As it stands now the Enugu Onitsha and Aba Ikotekpene roads are the ones that need the most urgent attention in the country because of their state and the traffic they carry.

Just like the Benin Ore road which needed very urgent attention and received it.

If the FG is to construct any federal road in the country at this point it should be those.

If you are alright with being stuck in the past forever instead of tackling the present situation and looking unto the future then good luck.
