They can jet out of the country to access healthcare at will so they careless.

I have noticed that APC is anti health from Lagos to Imo state and to their leader Buhari who appropriated more funds to Aso rock clinic than all the federal teaching hospitals combined yet flies to London for check up.

Very sad.

Why would any sane driver carrying many souls be struggling for right of way in a manner that the throws caution to the wind?

Poverty has also forced these passengers to be packed in an unsafe means.

PoliticsRe: New Pics Of Doctor Shot In Owerri Emerge:Does He Look Like Someone Shot In Head? by eaglechild: 5:46pm On Feb 05, 2016
He was shot in the head with a tear gas canister.

"Shoot" is not only used for "guns" but any high velocity missile including bullets, rockets, teargas canisters, slings, etc.

Any of what I mentioned is capable of inflicting lethal injury.

The Dr in question obtained lacerations to the back of his head and he bled profusely.

All of the head is NOT visible in the picture but we can see evidence of blood loss.

It is extremely petty and sycophantic to attempt to justify the crude behaviour of the policemen acting under orders from above by saying that shot only refers to guns.

How low we have sank in licking the boots of oppressors.

Plz eye witness of what? The shooting or the protest? Whoever gave out this information, should have conveyed what transpired and at what point Did The so called Police did what he did... Nigerians shouldn't hide under the cover of social media and be reporting all sort of stories. If you must write, kindly give full details. Was the so called consultant running or was he hit by stray bullet? In as much as I don't support executive recklessness, we must remember that we all should behave within the lead down laws and conventions.
He was shot point blank in the head by a police man with a teargas canister.

He obtained deep lacerations to the scalp and bled profusely.

He was rushed to the FMC Owerri casualty where he was given emergency treatment.

The protest was peaceful and this was a sudden occurrence.

Below is the alleged picture of the police man who shot him.

Abagworo:
The public health sector in Imo State and Nigeria has been a disgrace over the years. Okorocha wants to concession the health sector and inaugurate health insurance scheme as done in advanced countries. If you don't pay health insurance then you will spend as high in oublic hospitals as you do in private. We equally know that health insurance does not cover all cases. Many health professionals argue that the policy will be harsh on low income earners and vow to stop it from being realised. However some disgruntled politicians see it as opportunity to get at Okorocha.
Who is the concession going to?

Himself and family.

He shut down the Hospital management board and closed down virtually all the state government hospitals. Citizens can now only assess healthcare in the private and FG establishments.
The state teaching hospital is all but dead.

He appointed a barrister as health commissioner. The poor individual was starring cluelessly during the FEC meeting on Lassa fever.

Abagworo:
What are they protesting? Beer palour gist is what they are protesting. Government wants to improve health care and they prefer status quo so that they will continue killing public hospitals and referring patients to their private clinic..
For Nigerian health sector to improve what Okorocha is doing must be done amidst sacrifices. The protest will fail and so will the planned strike.
You are talking absolute trash.

Over 90% of the protesting doctors are not under Imo state government employ. NMA comprises all medical practitioners and not limited to those working for the state who constitute the minority.

Their protest is not even limited to the happenings in the health sector, which Rochas has completely killed off in the state.
PoliticsMedical Doctor Shot In The Head In Owerri During Peaceful Protest by eaglechild(op):
By Chidi Nkwopara, OWERRI
The planned peaceful demonstration by medical
practitioners in Imo State, turned awry today as
a Consultant Family Physician in the Federal Medical
Centre, Owerri, FMC, Dr. Bende Azudialo, was
allegedly shot in the head by a policeman. Giving a
graphic account of the incident during a press
conference in Owerri, the State Chairman of the
Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Dr. Hyacinth
Emele, ordered a three-day warning strike with effect
from today (Friday).
"If the policeman that fired the lethal shot is not
identified and prosecuted, doctors will commence
indefinite industrial action. The security agencies
and Imo State Government should note that all
hospitals in the state will close shop thereafter until
the erring policeman is fished out and punished",
Emele said. Continuing, the Imo NMA boss, who also
displayed the blood-stained white overall worn by
the wounded doctor, also said that a team of
medical health personnel started working on the
wounded Consultant Family Physician, as soon as he
was rushed to the FMC.
"The initial report we got from the medical team
was that Dr. Azudialo lost about 1.5 litres of blood
when he was rushed to the hospital and that was a
substantial loss", Emele said Speaking also, Dr.
Darlington Akukwu recalled how the NMA formally
wrote the Commissioner of Police, the Directorate of
State Security, DSS, the Federal Road Safety Corps,
FRSC, and all other related agencies to inform them
about the peaceful protest.
"We processed peacefully until we got to Orlu Road
Roundabout. The police barricaded the road and
when we tried to explain our mission to them, they
started firing teargas canisters. One of them later
fired a shot that wounded Dr. Azudialo", Dr. Akukwu
said.
He urged President Muhammadu Buhari and the
Inspector General of Police to find out why Imo
State Government called out the police to shoot at
harmless medical doctors. All efforts made to reach
the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr.
Andrew Enwerem, a deputy superintendent of police
for comments, failed as his line could not be
reached before press time.
However, the police was still stationing over 12
patrol vehicles at the entrance into the State
Secretariat of the Nigerian Medical Association,
when Vanguard left the scene at about 2.15pm.

What do you mean by 1.5L engine is too small.
Every car has a class and purpose, this is a subcompact car targeted at fuel efficiency.

The Hyundai accent ranges from 1.3 to1.6L.

The Toyota yaris from 1.3 to 1.5 L.

So what are you getting at.
