Ikenna351: Your description of the car problem is not clear.

Are you saying the engine cranks (turns) but doesn't start or that it doesn't crank at all? Please, leave what the auto mechanics/electricians said. Am asking you as what you observed, since you were there.

If it cranks, does it sound weird? Just to know if your timing belt has given up. But your camshaft sensor should tell you if its timing belt/chain related issue via scan tool.

Ikenna
When I got there, we put in my own car battery it started and went off within 5seconds. The driver tried again and I was just hearing kur-kur-kur. After sometime, he suggested we call a auto electrician. (I also obderved that the battery terminal head was very hot and it seems to be as if it weakens battery).
The two auto electricians confirmed that it wasn't a kick problem.
The other mechanic(he is not a specialist in Toyota) said it may be that it is metal, that the engine is not turning.
He then said that I may need to buy a new engine or half engine.
NB
Also, there was oil in the engine(I can't say how thick or light). But they said that Sienna 98 engines can pack up anytime.

superboi: Lol you people don't really think things through do you?
Power sector and Telecoms and both very different in today's World and unless there is a radical shift in Technology (Like the advent of GSM in telephony). This method of privatization that have been followed means that it is the Power producers that have the bargaining power and not the consumers unlike telecoms sector.

This is because the is more Money chasing the little available power available and the fact as an end consumer you cannot change your power supplier unless you pack to a different town or region. So now it is the power companies that would chose who the would rather give power to unlike telecom where you could easily change sim.
But I thought that the power companies will first start by installing their own meters? I just don't want this rubbish to repeat itself.

ruffhandu: Eagle eye,
Different coys offer different electric power services; some generate, some distribute etc. The old PHCN staff were disengaged but the new companies have to absord the old staff for smoother transition, I believe most of them may be dropped with time. But for now, they work for the new companies. But they are all on the edge, they know that the slightest mess-up from them will attract severe sanctions from their new employers.

I was even wondering:
The advent of mobile comm coys sent NITEL to the backyard and the coys made access to comm affordable.
How does this privatisation of PCHN forster competition that'll break the monopoly of PHCN?
The guy that hit me, used to come to my area to share bills. So I don't think he is even a full staff of PHCN to begin with.
The elderly man that came with them tried explaining to me, and he made mention of Government taking over the PHCN. But I challenged them to show me ID cards.
Moreover Geometrics have not started fully in Aba. I think the guy hit me because he felt threatened when I said I was going to take their pictures.

My Sienna 98, left home yesterday only for the driver to call me about 20minutes later to tell me that the car stopped on the way. I thought it was battery problem, as I went to help him out with my own battery.
He put my battery in the car and it started and stopped. It didn't start again. I called a auto electrician who checked it and told me that my kick is okay and he can't find any electrical fault that I should call a mechanic to confirm if the engine is still okay. Another auto electrician said the same thing.
This morning, one of my mechanic friend checked told me that the engine is not turning. Infact that the engine has packed up. He suggested a full replacement of the engine or half engine to be bought.
NB
I need to know what is the price of a full toyota sienna engine (98 model). Please any other suggestion is welcome.

I thought PHCN workers have all been paid off, and their is nothing like disconnection of power anymore. It is not as if we get light in our area that often.
Please any PHCN official (former), should clarify things.

I am sorry if this is the wrong place for this. MOD's forgive me.
QUESTION
I really want to know what the deal is with PHCN (and their workers)?
Just this morning around 10:30am, I came out of my flat and saw this PHCN guy on a ladder trying to cut lines in our building. I threatened to take their pictures and one of them attacked me and hit me first while, I elbowed him in the face. Before we kind of seperated with each looking for weapons to finish the fight.
To cut a long story short, my line and others were reconnected after they saw proof that we have all paid.
NB
I thought, there is nothing like PHCN and sharing of Bills and cutting of lines/power. Somebody should enlighten me, because I intend taking this matter up with the police. At least I know the guy that attacked me.

The girl already made her mistake of involving a mercenery to take her exam.....
.option 1.
give the lecturer what he wants. (win-win)
.option 2
dare the lecture to do his worse (win-lose)
.option 3
Tell the lecturer to be prepared to pay the price with his life, or his wife's life, or his kids life (lose-lose)
Last Bullet:
The last option will only be used if the girl is determined to shoot everything to hell.
These lecturers sometimes put their family in harms way, it is called #sinsofthefathers.

kulyie: i am defending myself from ASSAULT.NOT ANYBODY
Kulyie,
You are defending violence against another human being. Only this time, you were the one carrying out the violent act.
Agreed the man was wrong. But like some wise people say, "two wrongs can never make a right." Like someone asked earlier, if that guy had been killed by the Army officers what would you have done?
Or better still, will you approve of some Army officers beating a guy to near death because he had the "effrontery to tap a female's azz"? If you were passing by and heard that the reason that shop owner was killed is because he tapped a woman's azz, would you have said, "that serves him right?"

I was wondering when you will introduce this part in your justification for the steps taken by you and your army officers.

I refrained from arguing back and forth about this Anambara Guber election. But I am happy that after all said and done, Ngige (for all his gra-gra) did not win the election.
Have we all forgotten how Peter Obi reclaimed his mandate from Ngige through court ruling? Why will anyone in his right senses think that after the "deportation" saga and the rally on the day of Ofala festival, that the elctorates will vote in NGIGE who is nothing short of a Tinubu puppet to come and rule Anambara again?
LAST BULLET
Better Peter Obi's puppet in Awka Government house, than Tinubu's puppet in the government house.

Why will anyone think that Ngige who nearly denied Peter Obi his right as the rightfully elected candidate of Anambara in 2003 will have it easy.
Abeg, Ngige is a confirmed election rigger and should have a taste of his own bitter prescriptions.
