pretty stacy: Take it easy buddies, one bad experience with a customer care representative aint enough to label dem rude. (If u r sure u've had any).
Online shopping is new in Nigeria, dnt let anyone discourage u. Some pple talkn trash have neva used any bfor. Jst frm hear say.
U can place an order with either of d companies, u can choose 'pay on delivery' if u r in doubt.

I don't want to be biased here, u try urself dnt seek nairalander's opinion n choose the services u prefer later on.
These companies r each odas biggest competitor and believe me they share almost same criticism.
Its jst same ans u get if a debate lyk 'etisalat n airtel network which is better' is thrown open.
I've used both.
I lyk online shopping cos u knw/get the actual cost unlike d market or shops where some guys sees u n inflates d price(s) simply because u've shown interest in buyn a particular item(s) or they think u can afford dat.

Shadbay: i live in aba.. I was there yesterday when the structure was demolished! That man has been known to be operating a baby factory. Back then it was more or less a rumour but God eventually used his ex-wifeto exposed him. he was caught in owerri redhanded with babies.. when his hospital(de demolished one) was raided, sixteen pregnant teenage girls were found.. he admits pregnant teenagers and delivers their babies then gives them a hundred and fifty thousand naira(male), hundred thousand female(female). All his business counterparts, customers nd clients are all in custody... capturing him was possible thanks to his ex-wife who is a lawyer(hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.)
Am interested at the bolded cos I heard some stories about his wife....... Actually what was the gist behind their seperation.

I hope I can escape this one ohh.... but I don't know....
.
.
1) I can't cook.
2) I can and do love to do the dishes, so far as the tap is rushing. (The dishes does not include pots)
3) I can sweep, but try as hard as I can..... she will never be satisfied with my effort.
4) I can clean, but rarely do that. She is a cleanliness freak.... She mop up everyday, and even if there is a tiny bit of dirt on the tiles she will want you to clean it up.....(she be sanitary inspector?) Abegi.
5) I must confess that apart from cooking which is not my fault.....ayam generally lazy when it comes to house chore..... not because of ego.
But I do help out a little to please her (especially the dishes)

Chicolee: I subleased an apartment and the host may be evicted.

Fellow Nlanders, please I need your help urgently. I 'subleased' a room for eight months, the woman I paid to told me her rent will expire in December. I paid in June so my rent is supposed to expire in February when I'll be through with my service (I'm a Batch A corper).

This morning, the caretaker brought a quit notice and it turns out the woman pays monthly instead of yearly. She was given a month notice earlier (I wasn't aware of this) and now she's been given one week to leave or the caretaker will file a summons to eject her... I paid to the woman and not the caretaker and even though the woman assured me nothing will happen, I'm scared she'll pack out during xmas period in my absence.

Please what do I do? Help a troubled soul!
why will you pay a tenant in another persons property? Please go and meet the caretaker and see if you can reach an agreement.

[quote author=Efemena_xy]Your sister is an adult and knows what she wants.

If she's based in Naija, engaged to a Nigerian man, then yes - her choice makes a lot of sense and I respect her for that. At least she's being very clear on what she wants and has laid her cards on the table. No time for sme-sme and she just wants to get down to business. If the man can't deliver the goods, then he's out the door.

obadiah777: she knows who he is. she sees him everyday. if she cant fall in love with that then she is not after who he is but what he is. what he is hiding from her is not who he is but what he is. big difference. women are usually after what you are and not who you are so you have to lie about what you are so they can get to find out who you are. its all a game for those who are bothered to play it. but dont blame the man for playing a game the woman created
I go with this. Personally I don't tell lies to a lady or anyone I consider to be a friend. But I can imagine why this guy will want to lie in the first place to please his girl.
And you know with lies, once you tell the first you have got to tell another to cover the first one and on and on, before you know it, you have told a whole lot of lies that you either continue or you come clean.
NB
Women will naturally go for people like the op, who can make them feel good about themselves.
Op, if you don't want to lose her.....keep shut and let her find out her self. If she is bound to 'hate' you after knowing the truth, why help her?

ifyalways: Your sister I presume is an adult and we have varying reasons for getting into marriage, different goals and priorities.

She's the one dating the man,not you. If for whatever reason she feels the man is shooting blanks/is incapable of getting her pregnant, which is what I THINK is happening now, and she wants to have kids, infact having children is on top her priority list then she's 100% right to reject the mans proposal!

You just have to sit down with her and find out why she thinks the man cannot get her pregnant. Have they seen a doctor? Did she have a DC in the past and worried about herself?

Her life, her choice. You can't make her change her mindset unless she decides to.
Anty Ify, thank you for this advice ohh!.... Guys una dey hear am so..... If you okay and you girl no fit carry belle for you before marriage and you want babies, please free the babe ohh!
Her fellow woman(abi na fellow widow) has adviced all those testing the engine to know if it really works to do the needful.....
NB
believe me this kind of advice will do more good to the guys than the ladies. My opinion though.

After this first payment, will FG not renege on their agreement say 2014 or 2015?
Which is more hard; signing of the MoU or Doling out N200billion?

Am sure you will find one. The 20% or more discount will make it even more attractive. Moreover when they see that the gift items are new and unused, I don't see why they won't make a deal.
Family › Re: Would Be Brides; Come In, Let's Plan Together! by eagleeye2: 6:38am On Dec 04, 2013
Phema: Now, we were just thinking. . . Is there a way one can add a "cash only" caption in the IV? Something like; "You do not have to come with gifts, but if you must, please make it cash only" grin

Will that be too blunt, rude or desperate? cheesy
As an Igbo boy, I always look for a win-win situation.
Why not just allow the guests to come with whatever they have, and make arrangement with Gift Shop/ Super market to buy off the ones you don't need at 20% discount.
Nobody will be the wiser.

This topic may probably be deleted or get me banned.
OBSERVATION
I am a Catholic, that makes me a Christain right? Chris Okotie may disagree. But I have come to observe the that muslims in the religion section are treated with great respect and a reply to their threads will be carefully worded if not, you may just be earning a ban. The Christain thread on the other hand has this free for all kind of comments that everyone is free to come in and rain as much insult or praise as possible and then exits the thread without fear or favour.
.Before you reply to any topic in the Muslim section of the NL religion Section you see a clearly spelt out warning.
.
.
.
The muslims even have a section to themselves and a kind of warning attached to it like
Islam for Muslims : A forum for Muslims to share their faith. Muslims only please, even the moderators are Muslims.

.
.
.
Why can't we have the same kind of respect, even a near veneration for the Christain Threads. Okay, if the Christains don't want it. I propose for the MODs to stick a similar warning to Catholic threads or even give the Catholics their own sub-religion section.
Peace.
Education › Re: ASUU President, Fagge And Okupe On ChannelsTV by eagleeye2: 8:35pm On Dec 03, 2013
ayili: variably ASUU should also hold the university senate, vice chancellor, etc responsible and not just gov.
.ASUU is holding government responsible because it is the duty of the government to make sure that the University authorites carry out its directives.
.
.
.
funny how it sounds that everybody is involved in the spoil while some come out to claim saint and try to pottery others bad ... I didn't graduate the year I was surpose because I didn't give 4thousand naira for an A , is that also because gov. didn't fund infrastructure?
.You were a victim of Corruption, so I can't possibly blame only the government. Rather I will blame the country.
.
.
, in my department then there were some CNC machines we never used, is that because gov. didn't fund research?
.Yes. Just like point number 1, government should hold the University authourities accountable for not utilizing the funds for what it was meant for.
.
.
ASUU use the little you have to put the government to shame is what am saying... putting eyes on more money wont solve it... CNC machines are there but not in use soon they will get outdated and ASUU will begin to cry foul..
Bro do you truely believe that a lecturer can just walk in and start using the CNC machines if he was not directed to do so by the UNI authorities.
It may be painful now. But either gov hands off completely from the education sector or the should do the needful and fund the sector.

ayili: because rather than doing our best in the way we can we resort to striking for more money, as if money will solve the backwards of nigeria, (charity they say begins at home) if ASUU are doing what they want the government to do the schools would have being better off than what we are talking about now... yes you may say they cant do much, then they should do little with what they have and lets see.. (example: I studied engineering 5years and the hostels were renovated (only painted) once in all my 5 years.. I know and am very sure 2million was budgeted every year for that renovation. yes I knew this because I had a close friend in the school senate and was also very close to one of the SUG president ... universities generate funds internally from post-utme, development fee, acceptance fee, ventures etc? what do they use these funds for? that we cant see changes no matter how small. what am saying is the solution to our problems are in our hands and not with the government, so stop looking up to the people you claim are insincere
I thought you understood the comment you quoted.
FG has been in charge of all the money generated from Crude oil, FG is the one responsible for dispensing these monies to the necessary sectors of the economy.
Okay, you said you are a graduate of Engineering..... what are the things you can produce on your own? In you Laboratories, where you provided with the necessary tools for your studies?
Who should be held responsible for the renovation of you hostels?.... I guess you think it is ASUU.
ASUU is a Labour Union made up of Universities lecturers. ASUU is not the University Authorities. If they were, the Government will not be asking ASUU to sack ASUU.
Please hold your VC, Pro Chancellor and the Senate Committee responsible for the misapproited funds meant for the renovations of your school hostels.
