clip: After d meeting with the President, I think it is wise of them to respect the office and suspend the strike stating that if the government do implement what was agreed they will go back. They should they carry the public along on they movement .I can't speak for ASUU, but methinks that ASUU has lost confidence in th FG. Moreover, I can vividly recall the Subsidy strike of January 2012..... Why haven't we gone back to the streets after that particular 'near revolution' was cancelled....? What has happened to all the clamour about deregulating the down stream sector? What has happened to all the people who ripped and are still reaping Nigerians off through Subsidy scam? Am afraid, verbal agreement or a sit down with Mr President is not enough assurance for ASUU. |
ayili: oI work in the Public sector and also run a business on the side.... I don't need oil money, its more of a curse than a blessing, and that is the more reason our society is like this. With all the Billions of Dollars in revenue since crude oil was discovered in Nigeria why do we still remain largely backward compared to our contemporaries who gained independence at the time Nigeria did? |
ayili: so all this while na oil money you want make them share give u come dey form solidarity say u want carry am develop universityI am Igbo, from Abia State. Pray tell, if their children were studying in this Country will they not have 'done the needful'. NB Moreover, I have long graduated. |
clip: Brother, it is not about signing the MOU with the attorney general that is the problem but what is the best practice.Capitalizing on it is not the issue here. This Government has shown severally that they will hardly honor an agreement reached. If these Lecturers were to go back to the classrooms, we will surely be expecting another round of strikes soonest. It is better the MoU is signed by the Attorney General and we see if these Lecturers won't go and teach. After Sacking all the Lecturers who are you going to employ to do that job....or have we forgotten the Unilorin case |
mad nigerian: ASUU should call off the strike......and government should increase funding for education......But the same falling oil prices sustains the expensive life styles of our ogas at the top..... The same falling oil prices sustains the ridiculous amount paid out to senators.... the same falling oil prices sustains the ex militias like Tompolo and Asari Dokubo.... Please stop making excuses for the FG.... |
babyosisi: A woman marries a grown man perhaps 8 years her junior,Nwa Ada, Are you serious? Chai! I pity for Peter, because Ama m' na origo BELU SOM... |
Ife Chukwu Dere, O decha go.... |
andromida: She is not blackmailing any man. This is her own standard sex=marriage. Which looks like good thinking on her part. Even prostitutes get paid.So therefore, marriage is her own 'pay' |
tempest01: two years is enough time for you to know your gf in and out...her past life and all...if she really loves you, and has stayed clean for two years (and you have stayed too...@ least with her), I guess she feels its time to take the relationship to the next level...having known her for two years, you should have made up your mind by now if you want to spend the rest of your life with her...if not, I say you should let her be...it might not necessary mean tying the knot immediately, I feel she wants to be assured before giving in...though you have to be careful sha before before committing yourself, some girls....Take the relationship to the next level by blackmailing her man into fornicating with her? Please. |
Booty butt chic: you are only old but u don't have sense...Why date a guy for two (2) years and suddenly introduce se,x as a one way ticket to marriage? The girl ain't decent. But a manipulator. |
Guy, you really don't need her to ask that question. Be that as it may, promise her not only introduction to your mother, but a engagement ring there after. You go hit that spot sotey na you go tire. Then if she is not the one for you, after thinking hard, you let her know. If she starts throwing tantrums, paint yourself black and tell her that she deserves someone better. ................... Se,x can never be a bargaining chip in a serious relationship. |
Better a Obi puppet, than a Tinubu puppet. Congratulations APGA Congratulations Anambara Long Live Ala Igbo Long Live Nigeria. |
When will Seun and his MOD's know that threads that promote Tribalism will eventually do no one any good. |
Phema: Oh, na guy?I am a guy man No, not what you think I am a man guy Yeah something like that. |
I'VE VOWED TO CLOSE MY EYES TO PEOPLE'S SUFFERING. IF WE DIDN'T GET INVOLVED WITH HIM THIS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED. MY HUBBY IS, UNDERSTANDABLY, SO CROSSED - SAYING YOU INITIATED THIS, NOW SEE WHAT'S HAPPENING. WE'VE NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES SINCE MARRYING.
Op, You are not alone ohhh! I can't count up to 3 people I or my family has helped that appreciated it. . . . I have a 'friend' (these days, I doubt that word) who had accomodation issues, I took him in because I am still single and live all alone in a 3 bedroom apartment. Close to two years now. Recently the guy got another girlfriend and decided to end things with his long term girlfriend of about 4yrs. He got another girlfriend and in his wisdom, decided that the girl will live with him in my own house without informing me. Now, I am a private person and I am really crossed about this development. So I have decided not to talk but to keep my distance from him and the girl. . . . Could you imagine that this ingrate of a guy has been running his mouth to my cousin, that is it because of accomodation that I am doing shakara for him......Hmmm. Human beings. |
^^^Sorry, if I sound offensive.....But this thread I believe is for enlightenment/learning and not for advert. |
I Decree that God Almighty, the Husband of the widows, the Father of the fatherless, will shut the mouth of all Oshiomole's in your life. Amen. Locate this widow and do the needful. |
pmc01: There is a logical interpretation of that than the emotionally biased meaning given to it. The extent to which he was frustrated and infuriated by the woman's indirect justification of her act."Temper Justice with Mercy" . . . I have always found that mercy bears richer fruits than strict justice. ~ Abraham Lincoln |
but you didnt say this when you saw the aluu video?
please be adviced that uptill today, I have not had the heart to watch the Aluu Video. Somethings are too gory to be watched. . . I have nothing more to say to you concerning what The Governor said to the Widow. |
pmc01: Exactly the point... that is just the summary. Please understand that almost everyone who watched the video is condemning the Governor's outburst....."YOU ARE A WIDOW, GO AND DIE!!" |
the leaders are representative of the people. If he said that, its obviously because he was told to say it, same way aluu 4 were murdered in front of the camera. besides, havent we been shown pictures of this person in various compromising positions which we were later told were photoshopped. so, i do not believe everything that comes out of the media, and besides, in some areas, you proceed with caution. Nuff said. when the media tells us certain representatives of a particular show went to see the governor, we were not told why they are granted unlimited access to what ordinary nigerians are not even permitted to sniff [how many ordinary nigerians can go near a govt house without being locked up?], then clearly there's more to the picture.
Tpia, What has PHOTOSHOP got to do with all these things? . . . So, the Governor was told to say, "you are a widow, go and die" . . . Or maybe the press doctored the Governors speech. So we should be careful in believing that what the Governor said may not actually be his voice....... . . Goodnight Nigeria. |
i dont buy media hype, the camera was rolling when he said those words. clearly there's more going on than what we are seeing.
Could you please enlighten us on the "more that is going on"......You seem to believe everything in Law is Black and White. Haven't you heard of the phrase "temper justice, with mercy"? |
For the sake of the Cameras, Oshiomole should have guided his tongue....... WoW, Oshiomole couldn't be moved to pity......the woman kept crying and shouting, "make una help me ohh!!" and our comrade governor just blocked his heart. |
You friend should kindly check into the next psychiatric hospital and have his medulla oblongata checked. #Noinsultintended |
And who says it was only his money? |
Phema: Thanks Bellong. Its #850 per plate of rice which consists of rice, salad, meat and fish. Will have to negotiate and possibly take out one or two toppings.Phema, How do you know exactly the number of guests that were served? She could serve 140 guests and 'aproximate' the number to 200 guests. So I think, if you don't mind the stress, you rent plates and cutleries and buy your own food stuffs, then she gives you a lump sum for her services. |
Phema: Yea yea. Cost of things also depend on your location. My wedding will be taking place in Benin, so things like hall, decor, DJ and EMCEE will be cheaper than say, Lagos.I think it will be more expensive paying per plate. Buy what she will need for the cooking, and pay her for the services rendered. |
musiwa112: if jonathan was not too proud and ask me, i will help him beg all nigeria professors, they will listen to me. but i have not got involve because i mind my own business. the professors are very reasonable people and i believe, they will listen to me.Are you by anymeans the late Gani? But, I thought you dead.... No wonder, you speak the dead man's language in the forum of the living. |
Promhize: STFU, read my post above, ASUU is demanding the 5 months salary in which they did not work.Use of gutter language comes natural to those who are afraid of facing the truth and reality. Did I even quote you. |
taharqa: Who told you it has not been 'signed'?? The Agreement reached with d President has already been sent, and signd by d Permanent Secretary, Min of Education. ASUU is howeva just insisting that it shld be signd by d Attorney-General of d Federation. I read this in one of d Papers this morning. OR wait, you are want/expected d President himself to sign an agreement?.... I am not even sure they are signing another MOU altogether; the problem is that ASUU is astonishingly hoarding Info on d process, such that most people don't even know what they want again. Their NEC meeting in Kano for instance, was held under an ultra-secret place and environment, such that NO single Newspaper still know what reali went on in that meeting, except from crumbs of Info from 'Anonymous Sources'!! Want is ASUU reali up to? Want do they reali want, now ie what are their current demands? Why all d Secrecy and Shenanigans??Guy, you really amaze/amuse me ohh! So, what if ASUU is demanding that the President (himself), Attorne General, Senate president, Speaker of the House of rep... everybody and anybody sign it? They simply don't want someone being the president tomorrow, and claiming he was not part of the agreement. This present govt has shown that she is adept at dodging promises made. |
Phema: Well, there are different prices for different items ooooo. The main thing is to cut one's coat according to one's material.Yeah, I understand there different prices for different things and location also matters. I am based in the east, but I just need to start projecting the cost. Like someone said in another thread, "wedding is the beginning of the journey". And you concurred by saying "there is life after, the wedding". |
