Politics › Re: Sir Mr. President GEJ, Its Time To Shelve Your 2015 Ambition by eagleeye2: 7:19am On Sep 02, 2013
If you were bright enough, you would have figured out that I never stated anywhere what my position on the agreement is. My point is that, the violation of this agreement by GEJ has had far reaching impact on the state of the country. I maintain that GEJ is unfit to rule a great country such as ours.
I acknowledge that I am not bright enough, but please tell us who is fit to rule, so that we can all put this back and forth to rest.

I opened this thread looking for objective analysis of things. But no, it is my tribe this, my tribe that.
Op, you talk about honoring agreement, and someone mentioned Aburi Accor but you were quick to wave it aside and further told the person to move on because it happened 50years ago. But you forgot that the said 'gentle man agreement' happened 14years ago. Why not also move on.
I may not like GEJ very much, (and may even have supported Buhari in the past, not anymore) but mention any other credible person who you want to be President come 2015 and we shall analyze him or her.
Please stop playing the ethnic card Ndu-Chuks.

Sincere 9gerian: Are you talking of the same OBJ that ruled from 1999 till 2007? OBJ that removed disloyal governors with 5 legislators? OBJ that decimated AD in the southwest with Iwu's INEC? OBJ that told Amaechi to step down as candidate of PDP in 2007 because his candidature has "k-leg"? Who could stand in the way of OBJ when he held sway? If you'r having amnesia, I am not.
the guy quoted was talking of obj before his second tenure

in the wicked part of my mind...... I just wish that the children of thess politicians that will jet off abroad for their education and later come back to take up juicy employment, will be isolated and shot dead......all of them.
how can a small fraction of the citizenry Lord it over millions of other helpless citizens, and what we keep hearing is....."it is only God that will change this country".
God has given us all the ability to make this changes, and untill we decide to take radical actions instead of looking up continually to heaven, nothing will happen.
See Coward; Gambari comes to the East kills your ppl, destroy your farms, molest your women but you don't do anything because YOU NO WAN PRICE MARKET!!!! Ibos are the greatest cowards in Nigeria.

They can't fight with their hands only with their mouth.Every tribe has militant organizations that shed blood, OPC, MEND,BH brave self deterministic groups fighting for their own ppl. But d Ibos MASSOB chief activity is collecting tax on traders - to fight and protect their people is not their own work na to obtain Ibo traders dem sabi plus waving Biafra flags around.

Ojukwu ran away leaving his ppl to die enmasse they still welcomed him back with d most beautiful girl around. Useless cowardly people.
E- warrior! I hail ohh.. I dobale for you. Infact you too much.
Ojukwu ran away, ehh.... What else is new?
If Ibos are cowards, point to any other tribe that have waged a war with the whole Nigerian military and even alied forces for three years?
Point to any other tribe (or even nation in Africa) that have witnessed the kind of genocide the igbos experienced and were still able to shake it off and forge ahead, even rising to an enviable position in commerce within the spate of 30years.
Let me tell you....
A coward is that man who can no longer face his troubles and took otapiapia (rat poison) as an easy way out.

EasternLeopard: @SOUTHERNERS Fulanis cant wipe out Southern villages the way they do in the Middle belt, because they know it will lead to a war they will lose because, the war resources[oil & ports] needed to win is within the Southern........FACT
The Southerners are brewing for war amongst themselves..... the South is not in unity..... so if there is a war between the fulanis and any part of the South..... it will be "to your tent oh Isreal"

berem: You're just making the thread look like Igbos are not grateful for the remodeling of the Airport. If there's an agreement on acquiring the land, why should the FG not pay for the land?
berem,
we are grateful to FG, but those guys issuing ultimatum makes it look like we are not grateful. I am behind the landowners demanding for their compensation but I am against them giving FG a ultimatum...
Still doesn't answer the question though.

Okay, let's take it a couple of levels down. Both she and the husband are working, but she earns just that bit more than him. So, she buys property in 'secret', builds houses in 'secret' and is even smart enough to run some business in 'secret'.

Bottom line here is, at the end of the day, na she get pass the husband but she passes away. Wetin family members go do? Who takes the mantle? The woman's family or the man's family?

Abeg you must know the answer to this wan jare. You can't tell me it's never happened!

Oh, and the bolded bit is just EVIL! angry lipsrsealed
if she doesn't buy those properties in her family members name and the husband gets a whiff of it, then the issue of next of kin comes into play and the husband inherits everything..... it is an unfair world.
Na wa o!

What nonsense!!

Okay, Yellow and Eagle, question for you both - tell me this: For that sort of family, what do they do if it was the wife who held the purse strings AND was the one making money? I don't mean chicken change o! I mean proper money that runs into six and seven digits (££ or $$)? And her estates were in her name at the time of her death.

So what would the family do? Who would come forward to claim the woman's vast wealth? Would it be her family members? Would they be the ones to lock up the husband and kids while they 'share out' their daughter's property??
"It is our brothers money", is a cliche. like YPP said, you hardly see a married woman buying properties in her name. Even if she does, she will be labeled "wicked, selfish, domineering" and other such names.
A man and a woman in marital r.ship should have a healthy dose of trust and as such should be able to acquire some properties that are known to only the two of them. If possible they should have a joint account for a rainy/uncertain day.

patrikobi: All categories of retired civil servants have been paid up to March this year. The finances and General Purposes Committee has been strengthened to entrench due process, transparency and accountability in the award of all government contracts. The reconstruction, evaluation and updating of the state government’s debt had been done at the state level, the first in the south East zone. Plans have been concluded to extend same to the LGAs before the end of the year. The government has fine tuned appropriate framework and strategy that would compel remittance of collected revenue to the Board of Internal Revenue (BIR). This has become necessary because revenues expected from various internal sources have failed to reach projected levels.T.A is been active ever since the second tenure ,and we are happy that transformation has come to stay

customized13: you are nt getting me, I haven't said anythng abt the state govt, what am saying is there are stil good places, wch both of us kw. I cnt jst start snapping pictures of bad places in onitsha, port harcourt, lagos and evn uyo (though I cnt waste dat precious time sha), we all kw aba has bad roads, d state govt isn't doing well and all dat, bt he should hv snapped d good places 2, rather than jst trying 2 downgrade d city, I hv gone 2 d major cities ind southern part of nigeria, this shit isn't peculiar 2 abia state (though it shouldn't b an excuse) bt dnt make it sound as if the whole of aba or abia state is a slum, cos of few pix.
I have travelled round this country, as well...... but right now, I live in Aba and I intend staying for sometime before relocating elsewhere......... The good places are there but they are put up by individuals and few corporate bodies. The painful part is that they exist side by side with filth.
