The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Friday dismissed Peace Accord Forum, describing the it as a nonexistent and faceless group.

IPOB said using or hiring faceless groups to attack it over their leaders revelation and criticism of some activities of the the Federal Government, will not discourage it from what it is currently doing through its leader Mazi Kanu.

IPOB in a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, therefore told Peace Accord Forum, a group it desvribed as nonexistent, faceless, without any base and attack dog for the Federal Government that it will vanish like the lady blogger that propagated the lies that its leader Mazi Kanu is dead.

Describing the alleged Federal Governments action as defeatist move, IPOB expressed gladness that its activities are unsettling Nigerian government, making it jittery, and panicking.

Our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s sustained expository messages on Radio Biafra and other media platforms have been sending jitters into the spine of the government.

IPOB, statement read, “We the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra, IPOB, led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, have noticed with interest, the Nigeria Government use of a faceless and non-existent group called Peace Accord Forum to defend itself against pure redemption messages of our leader.”

“Resorting to hiring faceless and amorphous groups to defend incontrovertible expositions by our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is nothing but an undeniable sign of total defeat.

“We are now glad to know that the cabal running Nigeria is more than ever, jittery, and in irreversible panic mode over our leader’s sustained expository messages on Radio Biafra and other media platforms about its misrule.

“They have confirmed their morbid fear about the truth our leader is revealing,  hence their resort to recruiting faceless groups as their attack dogs.

“The charade called press release by the so-called Peace Accord Forum  published in a national newspaper of May 7, 2020  was a poor scripted.

“The purported “body of Northern and Southern organisations” as claimed in the publication is nothing but a creation of the deflated organization as there is nothing like such group anywhere in Nigeria.

“For the discerning minds, the report has no writer as it is the tradition in authentic newspaper reports everywhere in the world, if they are real.
“As if that was not enough blunder, why is the group losing sleep over the words of a dead man- Nnamdi Kanu, since it claims that our leader Nnamdi Kanu is dead and buried. If Nnamdi Kanu is dead, why bother to respond to him.

Fast-acting firefighters managed to control a huge fire that broke out at the Abbco Tower in the Al Nahda area of Sharjah on Tuesday night.

Seven people were treated at the site, while five others were rushed to hospital to be treated for suffocation.

Colonel Sami Al Naqbi, Director-General of Sharjah Civil Defence, said that they had been alerted to the fire, the cause of which is yet to be determined and which erupted on the 10th floor of the Abbco Tower, at 9.04pm.

Thanks to the quick and efficient work of firefighters, the blaze was brought under control at 11.55pm.

Civil Defence staff from stations such as Mina and Al Nahda were deployed to douse the blaze following a call to the police operations room.

Col. Al Naqbi said the quick response of firefighters had helped saved the lives of tenants, as they immediately evacuated neighbouring buildings to prevent suffocation cases.

The blaze had spread beyond the 10th floor of the building, he said.

FEAR has gripped residents of different parts of Abia State following the interception Tuesday of a group of Almajiris loaded in cattle truck on their Way to Abia.

Vanguard gathered that Abia State Homeland Security agents led by the Commissioner for Homeland Security, Prince Dan Okoli intercepted the Almajiris hidden in cattle trucks at Enugu-Abia border, along the Enugu – Aba Highway.

A release by the Abia Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi-Kalu, explained that overnight, several trucks conveying food items with several almajiris hiding in them were turned back at the same border until the interception on Tuesday.

The Commissioner said that Government has directed that more homeland security agents be deployed to one of the borders with Akwa Ibom State as well following the interception of another truck conveying almajiris alongside goods destined for Akwa Ibom State.

Abia State Government had earlier on Monday alerted citizens that it received intelligence report on the planned movement of a group of almajiris into the state within the next 24 hours.
Some residents of Aba, the commercial hub of the state who spoke to our reporter pleaded with the state government to quickly do the needful to beef up the security within the state especially at the borders.

Mr Jackson Akudiwe said, “Since the news broke out, we’re all jittering because we’ve been hearing that the level of deaths in Kano state was as a result of these Almajiris.
He said “How come they want to shift them into our peaceful and less disturbed state? I thank God that the government uncovered this evil plot, but uncovering it is not enough. We’re also happy that they’ve apprehended some of them and that’s a wonderful achievement. We plead with them to quickly strengthen the borders

Possibly withdraw some compromising police officers and replace them with any other local security here because our policemen are too corrupt.”

Meanwhile, Okiyi-Kalu said that the State government has directed that traditional rulers and TC Chairmen of inter-state boundary communities will be held responsible and sanctioned for any of such unauthorized entry into the state.

He stressed that the government has warned that all necessary lawful measures must be taken to stop the entry of not only the almajiris but also other unlawful migrants.

He added that the measures will remain till the Federal Government-backed inter-state border closure regulation put in place to control the spread of COVID-19 from one state to another is lifted.

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, yesterday raised the alarm that there is a grand plan by some elements in Northern Nigeria to infest the s-east with coronavirus, through sending the Almajirai to Enugu State.


IPOB alleged that those behind the plot are currently pursuing its actualisation under the guise of repatriation of Almajirai to their home states.

In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the pro Biafra group wondered why the people behind the alleged plot will be sending Almajirai to Biafra land which does not harbour, encourage or make keeping Almajirai as part of their culture.

IPOB’s statement read: “We, the global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, ably led by our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wishes to draw the attention of Biafrans and the world at large about the ploy by some Northern elements to export coronavirus from its Kano epicenter and other parts of Northern Nigeria to other parts of Nigeria particularly Biafra land.

“It is a known fact that Biafrans have no Almajirai as that is not our culture. Why then are those behind the sending of Almajirai boys to Enugu doing so if not to infest Biafrans with COVID-19. It is an indisputabke face that there are no Almajirai of Biafran origin.

“Arewa North have been secretly sending potential coronavirus victims in the name of sending out their Alamajirai group to Enugu State since the lockdown started.

“Dispatching Almajirai to our land under any guise will not be accepted. We shall stoutly resist this move.Now, they intend to infest the rest of us with the virus under the guise of repatriation of Almajirai. We won’t allow this evil plot as there are no Almajiriai of Biafra origin, neither do we encourage such practice.”
