Abagworo: Chino/Ifechez/Eastsidah stop making ridicule of yourself in order to move the page off the disgraceful video of 7 years of Obi's poor performance. I'd like to see a photo of Barnhill and know if its 5star. I've however seen that their room is only 12k per night.

Let us call a spade what it is.

1) Obi has wasted 8years in a State with so much potential.

2) Anambra has always housed commerce and industry long before we were born and Obi is not the reason for the few additions during his tenure. Same is applicable to Abia and Orji.

3) Obi has constructed rural roads but none has aesthetics. Onitsha is still as it has always been.

4) He claims not to have borrowed a dime. Same with Orji.

1) Rochas 2years has impacted on Imo more than all the past 14 years combined especially in Orlu and Okigwe urbans.

2) Rural roads are undergoing construction and we can't expect everything to be completed in 2years.

3) Owerri the State capital has witnessed sudden transformation that anyone who visited last in 2011 will be astonished.

4) Free education in Government secondary schools with 305 schools under total reconstruction.

5) Quite unlike you, I have access to some pictures that can prove this uncommon transformation in 2 years. Remember most people Rochas is competing with have stayed 6 years.

Let me start with schools before and after. He is doing 305 of this and I've personally witnessed up to 30 under construction.
Do you know why I called you goat? Its because 1/3 of imo population reside in Anambra. That is a real shocker for you. If imo state is working why is then that they leave school they either head to lagos, River, Anambra, Abuja, Edo, Bayelsa etc?

Okorosha is clown who should go and understudy Obi. Obi,s achievement in Anambra will take okorosha about 30yrs to reach. Okorosha has been borrowing money from bank with nothing on the ground to show for huge debt that imo state will for 500yrs.

Obi is a model in Nigeria. He is the most fiscally responsible gov. Anambra is the least indebted state in Nigeria.

Imo state does add anything to nigeria, it is an insignificant and sleepy state which is rated alongside Ekiti, Ebonyi, Taraba, Zamfara.

Anambra is to SE what River and lagos is to SS and SW respectively.

Hahahaha

Why not tell this goat abagworo to realize that okorosh is a fraud and a woeful failure who has refused to see the thin line btw governance and charity home. Lol

Abagworo see your brother making sense. He is not gullible like some of you.

Anambra like I said earlier is a father where imo state is. We have passed the stage of posting mediocre pix like you do. We are building an economy which only second to former fct-lagos. Three brand 5star hotels are presently ongoing in Anambra: one in Onitsha, one in Awka and another one in Agulu Lake. Shoprite Mall in Onitsha and LG Mall in Awka are nearing completion in Anambra. We are not media freak and loudmouth like your gov and some of you

Imo state is a learner and rural state where Anambra dey.

Abagworo: This video was taken last month in Obi's 7th year as Governor.

This shows a city undergoing reconstruction. Btw this pix about a year old now, because greater part the road shown has been ashpalted and well paved.

Your people from imo state that invaded Anambra are our major problem very soon we will send all of back to your prostitute and kidnapping infested state. Lol
PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ: 6:47pm On Jun 04, 2013
Abagworo: Here are two 5star hotels in Owerri.
Hmmm

The first hotel cannot even compete with Queen Suites or Barnhil Resort in Awka, the second pix is a hotel built in the 70s which is likely to collapse soon because of neglect.

You guys can do better at least to provide jobs for your people so that they stop invading Anambra like pests.

Abagworo: It still boils down to same question. Can you post pictures of this new Onitsha for us all to see? The answer is no! because only headbridge to upper Iweka is being repaved but still dirty.
Am sure if pass Headbridge/Ojukwu way you will have Hibp. The road is paved neat and clean with street light being mounted now. Onitsha is reborn with modern eateries, shoprite, 5 star hotel and international airport upcoming at Otuocha outskirt of Onitsha. Your imo state is still a learner and rural when you compare it to Anambra. Deal with bro lol grin

PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ: 5:49pm On Jun 04, 2013
Abagworo: You are still going off the point even in this your fake moniker. Onitsha has always been as it is same with Aba long before we were born and not out of Peter Obi's good governance. That's the point I've been trying to make by bringing Abia. Despite the bad performance of Orji, Abia keeps being more industrialized and investors keep coming even when there were kidnappers and armed robbers. Today robbers shot 2 policemen in Onitsha but main Market will still go on.

What Obi has failed to do is to give the required face lift to Onitsha in particular and giving it that modern and international feel. It is the same thing Orji failed to do in Aba. Connecting villages with narrow roads is a stage we should have surpassed long ago.
You are not making any sense. Onitsha is presently cleaned up with nice network of roads all thru. Aba is way off, cannot be compared to nice development and an air of liveliness Onitsha enjoys.

Onitsha has Shoprite, has a 5 star hotel. Onitsha been upgraded beyond the pauper level of owerre and Aba.
PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ: 5:45pm On Jun 04, 2013
ifechez: now you are talking. its a win win for every body. I make money in onitsha flex in owerri hotels and bar. in return they come to onitsha to buy wears or building materials. but rochas is not doing anything. I even read this morning where ifeanyi uba critised rochas of monkeying around instead of doing the things he promised.
Owerri? Unless you want to be kidnapped or r.aped by women.

There more decent hotels and bars in Awka. Onitsha and Nnewi boys are always in Awka to spend the cash, thereby making the money to circulate in Anambra.

With the coming on board of LG Mall in Awka, Onitsha hotel and convention center and also Agulu convention center coupled with the international cargo airport, oil/gas plants/refinery in Otuocha- Anambra will be a major destinatin in West Africa.

Abagworo: But according to CBN, Abia has more cash flows than Anambra. Anambra was only added as a last decision alongside Ogun.

Dear Sir,

We are anti-corruption Attorneys Based in Abuja and support your fight against graft and financial crimes in Nigeria since you assumed office.

We are seised with some Newspaper reports to the effect that the CBN through a press release on April 28, 2011 directed all deposit money Banks with effect from June 1, 2012 that daily free cash withdrawals and lodgments by individual and corporate customers do not except maximum of N150,000 and N1 Million.

According to the report also, the new policy is to be operational only in Abuja, Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kano and Abia. Further, the report say ‘it is to help curb incidents of violent robberies which to the CBN, has become common because people move huge volume of cash ground’.

Anambra and Ogun were added this year as a last minute decision.
Hahhahahah

You think your in imo state where they don't have internet access. You cannot deceive anybody. CBN concentrated on the three mega states of lagos, Rivers and Anambra. These are the most important Nigerian states because they are the economic pillers of Nigeria. If imo state was to be at the boundary Nigeria can easily trade it off, becos they contribute nothing meaningful to Nigeria. That is the fact.
PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ: 4:58pm On Jun 04, 2013
asha 80: produce a link that shows that cash that moves into onitsha daily is more than ph.
I will do that once I get home. Its on my home laptop. It was confirmed by CBN that Anambra rates 2nd only to lagos on cash mobilization. How then can we be comparing such a mega state with mere Imo state who only source of income is federal allocation and govt is the only employer in the state, because people hardly go there to invest.
PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ: 4:47pm On Jun 04, 2013
Abagworo: Okay let us compare Obi with Orji. Rural roads have been done by both Governors. Both Governors did not borrow. New industries have sprung up in both States with Abia getting more. Why then do you think Obi is better than Orji?
Hahaha
Like as I said Anambra is a(Cat-A) state. Meaning that Anambra rated alongside economically vibrant and viable states as Rivers and lagos. CBN confirmed recently that the amount of money that moves into Onitsha on daily basis surppasses that of PH.

Onitsha is only second to lagos in terms of banks and cash mobilizationm. You can imagine how sophiticated the city of Onitsha is. So Abia come Cat_B states, why Imo is in Cat-D alongside Ekiti, Ebonyi, taraba etc.

Since okorosha is still the gov of imo state, he remains the worst gov out of SE. Orji has tried at least in opening new areas and empowerment of his people of which okorosha hasn't done even with all the debt hanging around the state.

As I said earlier imo state is a rural state when compared to Anambra. In all fairness okorosha maybe strugling with Elechi on who performs better.
PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ: 4:31pm On Jun 04, 2013
Step2002: No doubt he has done better than his predecessor. I will not castigate him at all, but when we villifie a governor like obi, then we need to match fund available with work done. Compare River State with lagos state and see if Amaechi comes out unbruised, then think about the huge debt incured amidst wealth. Governance involves having a balanced sheet in every aspect st the end of the day.
That is the point few are missing. Akpbio borrowed money everybody including the opposition is singing his praise, becos he is performing. The same applied to lagos. But in the case of okorosha he borrowed heavily with nothing on the ground, no job creation, no infrastructure, his people are running to nearby state for survival. Most of the gullible projects has since been abandoned, where is the money he borrowed, I think efcc should arrest the clown.lol
PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ:
Abagworo: I'll open another thread on Orlu (2nd largest city Imo) vs Nnewi (2nd largest city Anambra) if you continue with this kind of sentimental remarks. There are more banks in Orlu than Nnewi today. Maybe 2 years ago it was different.

I've never met a graduate wanting to live in Onitsha all my life. You can create a poll here on Nairaland. Its Owerri and Enugu that most graduates prefer in the Southeast.

Imo and Osun are probably the brightest States in Nigeria today. Lagos is on a league of its own while Port Harcourt is on another level. It is not for petty traders.
Lmao..

Between PH and Calabar which is more livable, but people crowd all over PH and Lagos and Onitsha in search of economic survival.

Since I was born am yet to see anybody intending to go near Owerri for living or whatever. Oowerre represent what was known in those days as Sodom. Today population of Onitsha alone is more than entire imo state put together. You people have all left imo state and invadede Anambra in search survival. You can only compare Orlu to Ekwulobia not to talk of Nnewi. Number of banks in Nnewi is more than the ones entire imo states.

In Sabmiller alone I know over 100 young imo graduates that given a new lease of life courtesy of Obi employment drive. They are leaving your cursed dry imo state in droves. Samething is happening in Chrisoral Group, Orange Drugs etc all in Harbor est Onitsha. The only profitable bizness in imo state is prost1tion for there girls and kidnapping for there men. Simple!
PoliticsRe: 5 Most Promising Governors In Nigeria by EASTSIDAZ: 3:48pm On Jun 04, 2013
Abagworo: You are making personal assumptions based totally on sentiments and not reality. The pictures are from Lilu and Awka-Etiti for the free minded ones. FYI there are far more Imolites in Abia and Rivers than any other states. Maybe few Orlu drug dealers at Head bridge is giving you a false feeling. Meanwhile majority of Igbos outside Igboland are from Anambra and that does not make Anambrians poor or undeveloped.

What I keep saying is that Peter Obi failed woefully. Theodore Orji also did exactly the same type of roads as Obi and attracted more industries and investments than Obi but both of them made no impact on the physical development of their States.
It is on record that Anambra has more road infrastructure that touched entire community, making the state a one-city state due attendant rapid urbanization. On the othe hand Anambra has attracted more investment than all the SE put together.

It is on record that imo state population in Anambra state ranks 3rd after Rivers and lagos. It is on record that imo state people see Anambra as there greener pasture- (where they can survive economically unlike dry imo state), the same they see othe major states as Rivers, lagos and kano.

It is on record that Roches failed intoto in all areas of development in imo state despite massive debt he has incurred with nothing to show on the ground except ofcos clueless projects like bring civil servants to march under heavy sun.

The question I want ask you ..why is it that your graduates don't stay back to develop your imo state , they rather jump unto a bus head to PH, Onitsha or lagos?

Today some neighborhoods in Onitsha has been overtaken by your people who are invading and relocating to Anambra on daily basis. This is a sign of developed and evolved state unlike imo state. Till today there is no single Anambra living in imo state

Obi has touched all sectors: industrialization/employment, education, roads, health, agriculture, etc. Today small town as Nnewi alone has more banks than entire imo state, let's not mention Onitsha which only second to lagos in cash mobilization and bank branch network.

In all fairness Anambra is in the same league with lagos,Rivers and kano. Imo state is rated alongside Gombe, Ebonyi, ekiti, oshun etc.

Don't bother yourself with that clown. He is suffering from complex over non performance of roches even after heaping so much debt on the poor people of imo state with nothing on the ground to show for it.
Abagworo fyi: Imo state remains a rural state when compared to Anambra state. Till today 1/3 of imo state population are living and earning a living in Anambra. It is a known fact that there is no single Anambran living in imo state nor anywhere near it. This simple analysis will show where there is development. Today over 1/3 of young imo graduates are working in Anambra courtesy of Obi industrialization drive. While roches is busy painting roads built by Mbakwe 20yrs ago. Borrowing heavily to enrich tinubu and his hausa cousins to the detriment of gullible imo people like this clown called abagworo.

Obi' achievement will take Roches 28yrs to reach. That is a bitter pill you have to take.

I score Obi 85perc. He is the most fiscally resposible gov in Nigeria. He has achieved so much in health, urban/rural roads, industrialization, agriculture, empowerment. Obi has done all these without borrowing a penny. Anambra is the least indebted state. Most of the mentioned govs has huge debth hanging on their states so they could not be termed successful because they have borrowed so much without the commensurate on the ground.

Ola Johnson: As far as I'm concerned, as you know, if you've started reasoning, Things Fall Apart, is not rich in literary prowess; it is widely used in the United States as more of an anthropology/sociology piece than as a literary text.
Before Chinua Achebe published the novel, people were publishing novels. For example, we have "Ogboju Ode Ninu Igbo Irumale" published in 1938 by D. O. Fagunwa. It was translated into English by Wole Soyinka as "Forest of Thousand Daemons" in 1963. Fagunwa who was the first Nigerian to employ folk philosophy in telling stories had the title of Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) conferred on him in 1959 by Queen Elizabeth. I know the "Jews" will play on this title, calling it a European title like that of the Nobel Laureate.

Amos Tutuola was another great novelist that published before Chinua Achebe. He wrote his first novel, "The Palm-Wine Drinkard" in 1946 and published it in 1952. It was translated to French by Raymond Queneau as "L'Ivrogne dans la brousse" in 1953. Tutuola wrote two other novels before 1956.
Get that into your head and not a none existing title.
Then why is Achebe TFA the most powerful and most read book out of Africa?
The fact will outlive yerobas, that Achebe is the father of African literature.

Chinua Achebe novels will still be taught as a necessary reading all across the world, just like Shakespeare and Mark Twain.

And that is why he was given the title, "Father of Modern African Literature.' One of the first novels to be from an African perspective.
Nothing is can change the fact that Achebe single handedly brought Africa to the world stage.
Achebe is truly the father of modern Africa Literature. Soyika and his Yoruba people should deal with it or they take the path taken by awolowo- end it all(he committed suicide)
