PoliticsRe: Nigerians Wake Up And Stop The Foolishness by Easyy(m): 1:47pm On Feb 26, 2007
Bankole01:
Our people can be so phony. They laugh to your face and say horrible things once your back is turned. They can praise you to the grave and return home with your wife on their arm!
This is the case of our political jobbers and the unethical intellectuals. We have people who would write fantastic thesis on what is right or ailing the nation, but appoint them to a position of power where they have a chance to practise what they preach and have learnt, they forget and become myopic and selective, they then start to talk in double speak, to confuse and confound.
This is the case of our two Ojos in the Obasanjo administration. Ojo Madueke we know will work for any master and play the perfect servant. This was evident in his Abacha days and the 'five fingers of a lepros hand'. with Abacha out of the picture, he soon find another master in the mould of Obassanjo, whom Madueke believes should be a 'life president.
Our other Ojo, Bayo to be precise is a learned man. A man of the law, but who chose to become a tool for flouting laws, just because it was expedient for him.
To what extent will our people compromise themselves for the sake of money?
We talk ggod talk about patriotism, we are well travelled and educated. We see what obtains in other developed nations, we enjoy the best they have to offer, but we refuse to implement what is good for our poor nation poised on a precipise and on the verge of going into a coma.
How long my people, shall we wear blinders and pretend all is well. As long as we have our 'owambes' and fuji music, we can dance our troubles away.
Yoruba people will say, "Ti won ba n'tan e, ma tan ara e" When people decive you, do not decive yourself.
It means that there's something wrong with us as a people and we need to examine ourselves.

How else does anyone describe a situation where people who are very well respected get thrown into the Nigerian equation and they quickly become rotten as well?

We ALL need to examine ourselves rather than point fingers at politians and leaders.

Foreign AffairsRe: Mugabe Celebrates In The Midst Of 1600% Inflation! by Easyy(m): 9:34am On Feb 24, 2007
Mugabe is obviously an incapable leader but so are many other leaders around the world. Besides, he was strongly supported by the west till he introduced the land reform programme

The great difference here is that this man decided to stand up against an injustice without thinking through the merits and demerits of same. These problems came to fore when he decided to take back Zimbabwean lands.

The lands were taken unjustly but he was expected to allow that injustice continue for the sake of the aid that was being recieved from the west. The west pulled the plugs on the aid and Zimbabwe faced problems.

It's the same thing they do to any Nation that does not dance to their tune. Any wonder they are always willing to kill and do anything to ensure that they have total control over the rest of the world?
PoliticsRe: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by Easyy(m): 6:32pm On Feb 23, 2007
If you know how much I respect that man (pastor okotie) and if you know who I am, you'll know that I know what i'm saying.
PoliticsRe: Nigerian Politicians Are Corrupt Becuase Nigerians Are Corrupt by Easyy(m): 1:22pm On Feb 23, 2007
Yes. I believe most Nigerians are either corrupt or condone corruption and see nothing wrong with it.
PoliticsRe: Igbinedion In Money Laundry Mess In Canada! by Easyy(m): 1:15pm On Feb 23, 2007
some of our own people will still say that is the man they will die for.
are we not just crazy people?
PoliticsRe: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by Easyy(m): 1:13pm On Feb 23, 2007
I still maintain that he is ostentatious and Nigeria could do better with somebody who is not very ostentatious.

I CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE CAN STILL BE THINKING THROUGH THEIR ANUS.
there was no need for that.

I doubt if your pastor will be happy with you for insulting someone who has done nothing except to disagree with you

PoliticsRe: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by Easyy(m): 1:07pm On Feb 23, 2007
Perhaps he should be a little less ostentatious. He appears to be taken in by materialism and an open display of wealth.

I'd still vote for him among the present lot
PoliticsRe: Is Obasanjo Corrupt Or Not? by Easyy(m): 1:04pm On Feb 23, 2007
The fact that he is the head of a regime in which corruption is rife makes him culpable

PoliticsRe: Pat Utomi For President In 2007? by Easyy(m): 1:02pm On Feb 23, 2007
I do respect Pat Utomi's intelligence but if I was to vote now, I'd rather vote for Okotie.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Must Resign Immediately by Easyy(m): 1:00pm On Feb 23, 2007
I dont think Nigeria needs any of the present crop of recycled old corrupt politians who keep imposing themselves and ruling for personal economic gains rather than to empower the populace.

The fact that some people are still clamouring for the likes of Atiku, OBJ and other badly recycled politicians and their sons, proteges, and mouthpieces says a lot about the kind of people we are and expalins why we are in such terrible state economically and politically
CrimeRe: From Russia With Love? by Easyy(m): 1:21pm On Feb 19, 2007
I remember getting this kind of email some time ago and when I informed the girl that I was married. She still replied to tell me that she just really likes me.

I think it's the poverty in Russia which makes them desperate to come to the west
RomanceRe: Nigerian Raised at Home or Abroad: which would you prefer to marry? by Easyy(m): 4:03pm On Feb 11, 2007
I'd always chose a Nigerian bred girl over am american or british bred girl
EducationRe: About Your Primary Or Secondary School In Nigeria by Easyy(m): 2:21pm On Feb 08, 2007
Wandungu,

you seem to have met some of our old habits while we were in GCK.

I also had the best time of my life in GCK.
PoliticsRe: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by Easyy(m): 1:49pm On Feb 07, 2007
I also made the point before about his osentatious lifestyle and how I believe that will not be in the best interest of Nigeria. However, I do not see any better candidate out there, or maybe I dont know they exist
PoliticsRe: Chris Okotie (Fresh Party) For President In 2007? by Easyy(m): 4:35pm On Feb 04, 2007
I'd sooner vote for Okotie than any of the other contestants going around with their stolen wealth and inherited stolen wealth.
Foreign AffairsRe: War Is Not A Solution For Terrorism by Easyy(m): 4:30pm On Feb 04, 2007
chidichris:
My Dear, life is a process of learning. please in your own terms let me know what you think about terrorism.
again, remember the thread is all about the solution to terrorism.
also, do not forget what and how the americans go into iraq for.
i would want to remind you that what is happening in iraq today has been waiting for long. remember in 1982, a group attacked saddam and were afterwards paid for it and you would believe here that if not for fear, they were waiting for revenge.
on the other side, the people of saddam are not comfortable with the new american installed government and have every need to fight their way back to power to avoid paying the prize of saddams brutality.
if you are saddam that saddam does not deserve what he gets, then i would want to know your reasons and i will share the pleasure of pointing out to you at least ten reasons for him to walk through the same gallow which he had sent people through.
God is the creator of all things and for those who take lives most times pay with their own lives as it is written that those who live by sword, die by sword.
will saddam be a sane man for his actions in invading kuwait and outlining his next victims to include saudi and uae. has anyone taken time to know how many lives lost in the iran and iraq war?
please in your explainations, do not forget to tell me whose airspace the us used and in which countries of the gulf the us army have their base.
aslo do not forget to tell me the first country to congratulate the killing of Saddam.
all these terrorism issues have been their before the coming of bush and do not remember a cnn correspondence interviewed bin laden in 1997 and he told him that they are planning an attack on the usa but the correspondance was wondering the possibilities of such attack from such distance but the answer only came on 9/11,2001. please check out how many us embassies that were attacked before the bush administration and you know what? from time, the kingdom of God suffereth violence and only the violent taketh it by force.
it is obvious that what goes arround will surely come arround one day.
i will be happy if u let me know your views
chidi, thanks.

I am sorry I am unable to respond to your post. It's rather incomprehensible to me
