Fellas, if you found out your girlfriend/wife was sleeping with another woman, would you consider it cheating?

Ladies, if you found out your boyfriend/husband was sleeping with another man, would you consider it cheating?

Romance › How can I confirm a man's martial status? by eatme(op): 5:00pm On Feb 21, 2012
I have a new love interest who's Warri. I'm typically only familiar with Igbo boys, thus I've learned all their movements before they even move a bone. But Warri is a new territory for me and I'm completely unfamiliar with them.

Now, the issues are, I'm in North America while he's in London, UK.

We don't have any mutual friends, so I have no one to sike to get gists cry cry

I'm a bit concerned because he's very handsome, tall, well educated professional, works as an engineer for a major international oil company. Very well put together and very much 34.

For some odd reason, I find it difficult to believe a man with all those qualities at his age is still single. And I truly don't subscribe to entertaining men who are already spoken for.

I've done a thorough investigation on his facebook page and there isn't any signs of a wife/girlfriend anywhere near his wall/photos.

Thus, is there a way for me to verify his martial status all the way from North America?

Well, perhaps I should have clarified?

The said guy and I have been "talking" for 2 years. I'm extremely "unsure" of him hence why I've held him in the "friendship zone." The least he could have done was offered and allowed me the option to refuse! And no, I wouldn't have thought he was a mugu. Why would that make him a mugu? I'm not just some random girl he picked from a club last week. Na wa for you people!!

toronto to buffalo is about 2-3 hrs. I know that route.

Poster, since you say you've had guys drive you that same route in the past, then was this particular guy actually wrong with his statement.

You were thinking of your own convenience only while he looked at the bigger picture.

Boy friend, male friend, man friend, all are male and you didnt say any of your female friends drove you.
First of all, I didn't ask him to drop me off. Neither did I mention or disclose my previous drop offs. All I said was I planned to bus there. Shey, grayhound dey travel from Bay Street to BUF? Thus, in your mind (and his mind) where did you get "Going to America to visit my boyfriendssssssssssssssssssssss?) Naija men sef!! shocked shocked shocked

by the way, how far is the drive from Toronto to Buffalo?

I'm sure it aint 30mins.

So you expect the guy the carry you to wherever because he's toasting you  huh

when I talk now you will say i'm yabbing women
The drive from where I am to BUF is about 2hrs. I've had guys do this for me in the past, so, why shouldn't he? And plus, I didn't ask him to give me ride, neither have I had to "ask" in the past. Well, at least not directly.

But lets not lose focus, lets get back on track. This isn't a one time occurrence, Nigerian men always do this to me. I give them a 5 sentence paragraph, and all they do is seek out one keyboard and construct a whole different story that is none related to my original paragraph.

And they tend to only select one word out of a story and build their own story from it. For example,

I recently booked a flight to Nigeria. And while I was ticket searching, the most reasonable price from Toronto was double the amount of the one I found departing from Buffalo, NY. So, I decided to book the buffalo ticket and plan to use greyhound services from Toronto to BUF if I'm unable to find someone to drop me off.

Anyways, I have this one dude that's been toasting me (mind you, he didn't even contribute to my flight ticket angry angry), so, I was explaining to him the situation and why I decided to fly out from BUF instead of Pearson. The response I received from him came at me from left fields, "AH, so you are going to America to visit your boyfriends and you will be using greyhound. Why are you being a cheap girl."  cry cry cry cry cry

What the heckhuh Naija men, bikonu, help me understand where be drew that conclusion from my explained traveling arrangements.

@OP, all the best with ur dilemma. Don't forget to pray, submit all to God's hands. Ask for his guidance and for his will to be done. If you wish to walk away, ask him for strength. Trust me babe, prayers work wonders in these sort of situations! Best of luck. smiley
No, I do not. I'm not one of those people that's gonna sit around and wait till I see news of her demise on some Nigerian newspaper all because I was "coming off a bit too strong". You mean to tell me that if your daughter or sister came to you and tells you that they are with a man who is treating them like this despite their attempts to to talk to him and resolve the issue, you'd tell them to just stay? Is that what you're saying. From one human being to another, yes I cannot dictate her life but as a young woman, I will not sit by and watch my sisters suffer all because of these ridiculous belief that we should always try to work things out in a relationship. Some relationships are only meant to be resolved by putting a complete end to it. And no I am not being insensitive.Time and time again, I have seen my African sister subject themselves to such treatment while people sit by and do nothing. I for one will not be one of those people. If you or other people want to be such people then go ahead, be my guest but I will have no part in that. I have seen the nature of some men and how they treat women. I have seen the looks of despair and pain in the eyes of the youths that come to the youth center I work at so I refuse to stand by and not say or do anything.

Smh, my sister why oh why are you doing this to yourself. If he is dragging you away and ripping your dress while drunk, why wouldn't you expect his to become violent?
Okay calm down, take a long breather and an ice cold glass of water ontop. shocked

Please, refer to me where I suggested she should stay? Perhaps, re-reading my inputs for better comprehensions is in order?

All the same, my sole input on this issue is; matters of the heart is something that should be handled delicately. You can offer your advice without imposing and telling people what they should or should not do! I sincerely think she should re-evaluate her relationship with this man. And parting ways seems to be the most rational option at this point. Precisely from an outsiders standpoint. However it should be done on her own terms.

3ndy:
what can i do?? he's already gone to all the members of my family to present himself,
how can i let go now,  hw can i face my family members??

You're clearly unhappy now and things will most likely get worst after marriage sad

So, which do you think your family would prefer, a broken un-official engagement orrrrrrr a divorce case?

Why do you care so much about other people's input on this? You are the one that will marry and live with him for the REST of your life, not them. I'm not saying you should leave him, its not my place to direct your life. However, you should seriously consider all angles of your relationship before you jump the broom. Marriage no be child's play.

This is a very interesting topic,
the man i'm dating and hopefully will marry
is a kind of both but recently is starting to become in-decipherable.
i mean when he still was courting me he was a lot sub-massive,
comprehensable, loving, dearing, caring,
but now that he's tasted d fruit he's become dominant
annoying, boring, stressfull,
i've been biting my tounge for long but i don't know how to make him understand i'm really not liking him this way,
he's always comparing me to other women, especially my sister,
while having XEX b4 he'd make me lots of compliments,
but now he remains quiet from beginning to the end,
and i don't even know when he reaches climax, he remains queit even then, i dunno what to do anymore, i ask him sometimes
what he'd like me to do but he gets angry and asks me, is this the kind of question to ask?? do what u want, now i dunno hw to be submassive but anytime i asks him to cool down a bit he'll get all offensive and run head over heels, and he definately knows i'm more educated than he is but he always want to prove me wrong, telling me don't argue over things i know, and i gently reply honey but it's wrong, this is how it goes!! and he'll insist he's right, now not to be offensive i mean i know a lot better so shut your mouth and listen, (what i'd like to say) but no man likes being dominated by their wives/girl etc angry angry angry angry
And you hope to marry this man? Oga ooooo

What's the difference between a submissive wife and a submissive husband? Why does the notion of a submissive husband bear negative connotation whereas a submissive wife is most men's dream? No wonder many of our women are in useless marriages!
