Politics / Re: If Boko Haram Continues... Discuss by ebere1712: 4:34am On Jul 12, 2012
ndu_chucks: The thread's title should have read "If President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan fails to defeat Boko Haram.......Discuss"
What this cow and his foolishly anti-GEJ cohorts are telling you people, is that we should ignore his Fulani and Hausa brothers in piss; that we can witness killing and boasting about killing innocent civilians, and fight GEJ; because he is supposed to somehow turn into a super hero and fight a whole nation of Fulani and Hausa people; with a military partly comprised of their Fulani terrorist brothers. No we don't expect GEJ to do that. Fulani,Hausa, and their sponsors would be stupid to think that they can terrorize their way to the top. They are only alienating themselves, and I personally think they have crossed the line of no return. May the blood of the innocent women and children that they have killed in the name of islam and greed continue to taunt them until they repent.

Those americans have made a terrible mistake. The Nigerian government wouldn't be trying to keep boko territory. We would even pay them to declare their sharia state and stay there. This is not Syria. Everybody to his father's house.

I understand what people mean when they say US has evil intentions in this sudden interest in things concerning our nation. However I also understand people who would do whatever is possible to rid themselves of the Nigerian curse. Best solution is to solve the problems by ourselves, however many people and groups are frustrated that their is no indication that we are getting or ever going to get it right with Nigeria. Look around you, Nigeria has failed very woefully in all endeavors of life. In fact Nigeria is a textbook failure. For any society to function, their has to be order and at least a dominant culture. Listen the US that you call multi-ethnic is a gud mutation of British culture and laws, but tries incorporate minority populations and cultures. Nigeria has no dominant culture and would never have one. Even the perception of universal right and wrong is very different between groups. The only solution that would work (if Nigeria is to function as an entity) is the promotion of a mordernised African cultural system, justice system, and spirituality against foreign ones. However I don't pretend that I can achieve this, can you? Can you reconquer Nigeria for your African pride? If you can't you have to at least understand Nigerians have to go their different ways to enjoy even an iota of sanity. Nigeria is a heaven for madmen.

You don't like the draft, please come up with ur own draft. We already know it is unacceptable to us, because you want to take what is not yours. Let us peacefully divide (you say no). Then let it happen violently (God be our witness, we have done our best to teach you and your cohorts how to be human)

Dream on dude. Impeachment of GEJ in the current security state is impossible. That's what some people don't understand. Military coup is another fail because the coupist would not live to declare him/herself head of state.

Musiwa2: First of all the 6 zone is not acceptable to us as a people. What you have is the same thing abacha had.

It look like those who wrote it. Lack the history or knowledge of who live in Nigeria.

Kwara state is mostly Yoruba people. and would never be in another country or area.. So is Edo,delta, kogi... Look taxes is what govt run on. Ijaw people have no tax to give delta state... they even have just 1 tax office. Ijaw people did not give up to 1 billion in taxes in 2011. Is that what delta state would live on.

We want to be a country of our own. Which has status at the united nation.. And can apply to all major bodies in the world.

So all this you wrote is not what we want.

You see Adamawa and taraba state see themself as middle belt. they have nothing to do with Kanuri people that you group them with..

It shows the ohanaeze lack the knowledge of who live where in Nigeria.

This is like what abacha had,, and it was not acceptable to us. we dont need the nigeria govt or want to have abuja control our people destiny.

You dont need to contribute anything to Nigeria. You dont need the nigeria army anymore.

Why are the igbos try to keep nigeria, when they can have their own country.

we break it into 4 countries or 3 countries.

I hope you are not under the delusion that this is workable. You can't force anybody to go with you. Let those people choose for themselves. That is why we need snc. I am satified with an autonomous igboland. Anybody that wants to join us needs to submit application cool
Education / Re: Flogging Children In School And At Home: Good Or Bad? Whats Your Take? by ebere1712: 12:19am On Jul 09, 2012
Flogging is directly proportional to failed parenthood. It should be outlawed in Nigeria schools and homes. If you flog your kids, you are practicing your own boko haram at home (there are way more effective disciplinary tools). In some of our schools, it is a whole other level. Say no to "boko haram" (terrorist teachers) in Nigerian schools.
Politics / Re: Ohanaeze Draft Submission To NASS Committee On Nigerian Constitution Review by ebere1712: 12:04am On Jul 09, 2012
musiwa can you tell us what parts are not acceptable and why? We can behave like civilized people and do the obviously right thing to do (SNC), or we can kill ourselves. I trust Nigeria with its precedence, to choose the wrong way.
Foreign Affairs / Re: African Union Should Withdraw From Somalia- From A Somali by ebere1712: 10:43pm On Jul 08, 2012
warya123: where their is people their is an economy...people need to buy food, clothing, shelter...somalia actually has a better economy than kenya and ethiopia...i kid u not..its just not very stable politically.

According to the CIA and the Central Bank of Somalia, despite experiencing civil unrest, Somalia has maintained a healthy informal economy, based mainly on livestock, remittance/money transfer companies and telecommunications.[1][2] Due to a dearth of formal government statistics and the recent civil war, it is difficult to gauge the size or growth of the economy. For 1994, the CIA estimated the GDP at $3.3 billion.[3] In 2001, it was estimated to be $4.1 billion.[4] By 2009, the CIA estimated that the GDP had grown to $5.731 billion, with a projected real growth rate of 2.6%.[1] According to a 2007 British Chambers of Commerce report, the private sector also grew, particularly in the service sector. Unlike the pre-civil war period when most services and the industrial sector were government-run, there has been substantial, albeit unmeasured, private investment in commercial activities; this has been largely financed by the Somali diaspora, and includes trade and marketing, money transfer services, transportation, communications, fishery equipment, airlines, telecommunications, education, health, construction and hotels.[5] Libertarian economist Peter T. Leeson attributes this increased economic activity to the Somali customary law (referred to as Xeer), which he suggests provides a stable environment to conduct business in.[6]

Politics / Re: Okorocha Declares War On Kidnappers In Imo by ebere1712: 1:22am On Jul 03, 2012
ochukwuma15: I dislike advising nigerian politicians, but i'm going to break my law because Rochas okorocha is a good man.

Some years ago, police declared fire for fire to armed robbers in Enugu state. At the end of that exercise, 4 per cent of good people of Enugu state where either killed or sent to prison.

What happened to the bad guys? Quarter left Enugu state, another quarter where arrested by the police but when their family payed some amount of money, they were released and the police arrested traders and artisans and used them to replace the robbers. The third quarter became political thugs.

The last quarter continued to terrorise police until police themselve used their money to buy fright tickets for those robbers and send them to the republic of south Africa.

Imo state are lucky to have okorocha (the second best governor in Nigeria right now). Okorocha himself should not forget the fact that imolites suffered greatly to get him into office. If he doubts me, he should ask ikedi ohakim.

The best ways to tackle kidnapping in imo state are:

1: provision of well paid job oppurtunities to imolites, and

2: orientating the mindset of imo people. A man from Anambra state can have 30 million naira in his account and he will be wearing tattered cloths and walking as if he has nothing.

But if an imo man mistakenly got 10 thousand naira, he will buy suit (sorry coat), rub eye pencil and pan cake and roam the streets of onwerri in an empty stomach.

I just hope Rochas okorocha is reading this. No doubt, he got a good wife, the type of person i wish for myself........Chuks writes from Enugu, Nigeria.
I hope this fool doesn't represent even 50% of Anambra citizenry. One more to join the likes of chino and bestview. Anambra has the highest number of kidnappers in the south east after ebonyi and you take it to yourself to give advice to IMO people. Nothing I wont hear on nairaland. You are disgusting.

However chukwu does not leave his people. You will come back to chukwu and he would bless you. How can whites and any-other non-metu be superior to metu. How can you be superior to your creator. Can a pot be superior to its potter. You shall suffer in the hands of the devils(euroasia and their leprous fellow Neanderthals )for your sins but nobody can take away your rightful position as the sons of chukwu. You are the first born and you are the chosen. The pinkies (or red men) are devils and anybody that inter-breeds with them would produce half-devils. These are the obamas of this world. Metu rise and take your place with the Gods. This is the beginning of the ending of the devil's world. we have done our part to teach the world how to be human. The end is comming.

Onlytruth:

To support the bolded, we must do things differently from what others are already doing.
There are already MANY groups by various names out there claiming to be representing us and our interests, yet we don't see much difference in our land. That is why I am not really in support of not ruffling feathers. We have done that for 40 years since the end of the civil war. The result is that our land is being taken over by thieves and charlatans. We need to be bold and fearless because that is what would make a difference.
Eze onlytruth imeela, it gladens my heart to see that we still have igbos that think not only of themselves and direct families but also for the collective gud of the igbo amala and humanity as a whole.

@post
It may have sounded like people agitating for igbo content in an igbo initiative are anti-Nigeria. That is wrong. I strongly agree with Eze onlytruth that if we can get wat we want from Nigeria, we should stay in Nigeria. However, we should also know that if we make it a Nigerian project, I fear it might end up like all other Nigerian projects (all politics and no job done). I also strongly agree with Eze igbo nairaland, that our main focus should be economy, economy, economy. Sucess attracts friends, and not the other way around (friends do not attract success). I would like us to accommodate and embrace our neighbors, however we should never be seen to be in dire need of alliance. Yes all of us would want to see this endeavor grow into other parts of Nigeria, Africa, and even the world at large. But we have to start from home. And our collective home is Alaigbo. You can't seperate Alaigbo from its culture and language (it would no longer be Alaigbo). However everybody has a different view of things and we should not allow anything to come between this project (Economy, Economy, Economy). Igbo kwenu

Politics / Re: Eze Ndi Igbo Parliamentary Office - Constitutional Conference in Progress... by ebere1712: 11:49pm On Jun 29, 2012
Let me first of all say that I'm very excited about this and really, really hope we pull this off. This could be the begining of a great thing. I will help in whatever way I can (so far as the organisation remains sane). For the logo, I will suggest the two locked horns beside a really tall iroko tree. I can help in logo creation if it is needed. I can help in a whole other things. Lets just wait and see how it goes.
My simple suggestions

1) If this is an Igbo organisation, it must have an igbo name (complete igbo, no association or union)
2) The phoenix is very offensive to me because it is not seen anywhere in igbo land and has no bearing in this discussion at all
3) We have to start looking inwards; whilst borrowing and transliterating other things that could be of gud to our society
4) I vehemently reject the suggestion that we have to base our union on "it's friendliness to our supposed allies" (Allies that betrayed us in the past. This is an affront to our mothers and fathers that fought for our present freedoms)
5) I also vehemently reject the suggestion that we should pursue this with igbos, who have in the past claimed not to be igbos. Instead we should make a provision for them to reclaim there igboness and come back to their father's land(figuratively)
7) Leaders elected in this position, should never be seen to have any political alliance and should never be seen to benefit a dime from their positions. It should be 100% voluntary.
cool Avoid those trying to make this into a Nigerian endeavour, avoid them like leprosy, they hate you. Nothing in Nigeria has ever worked, nothing will ever work in the present design.

Religion / Re: Did African Religions Need To Be Substituted? by ebere1712: 9:00am On Jun 29, 2012
People still don't believe and accept that they are currently christains because they were invaded and enslaved. This is the reality. African Religions are an important part of the African culture. There is no other reason in this world for any large scale conversion to a foreign religion. You are christain, because your great grandfathers were invaded and enslaved. Religion is the construct of man.
