Tojued:Ehen, when i was a preggy mama, I read here cold water, when i went for immunization, during lecture the nurse said warm water. I raised up my hand and asked, warm water or cold water? She said No, WARM water. I'm guessing diff hosp with their rules, afterall her hosp asked her not to take pcm in the first place. Thanks dexterush. She doesn't bring out the tongue while sucking but i would start tapping her mouth gently. Hopefully she figures out why i tap her mouth and stop. For d car seat, I want the bigger one. Thanks Ohk beeejaylere. Would reply now |
CovenantBabies:Thanks darling! You're so on point |
roseval:He's really hot? Pls give him o.. 0.4 mls for the pcm drops. Please its not good to let him run temp abeg |
Roseval kpele. That penta vaccine is painful mehn. My hospital (national hospital) they ask us to give pcm every 3 hours. I wonder y the nurse asked you not to. They even ask us to massage d spot gently with warm water. |
@Abiagirl777 that's what we were told at my hospital. If no scar, it means it didnt take and should repeat the vaccine. Helli mommas pls i need help o! Thanks pamelar, giddyperson, eksbabe, callola, iyomomoreloaded and loisemm for your encouragements. Honestly sometimes I'm happy considering how long plus stress it took to have my twinnies, but sometimes i get scared when i consider that it would be like raising triplets. But in all, God has a plan and i accept it. Thanks once again #teamaugust. Any team august mama in the house?? |
Giddyperson:My dear. That is what i think about and I smile but then i remember the stress and i get afraid. If not that I've used torchlight to look for pregnancy before, would have thought of removing it. But i accept my blessing whole heartedly and also pray for all ttc mothers to also be pleasantly surprised just as i have been. |
Hello mamas. Team november 2016 here. Had my twins september and now I'm on another missionary journey. Age gap between my twins and this baby would be about a year or less. Hmmmm Didnt consider family planning because it took me 5 years and ivf to have my twins, this was a big shock and surprise. Mixed feelings. Give God all d glory |
Fabmum check out inspiredby_Kay on instagram. She's into the customization of shirts especially for kids. |

My BS, My Testimony(part 4) Revelation (The end) I was started on antibiotics of diff types, dressing of the site morning and evening. I was still oozing pus although the antibiotics killed the smell, it wasn't until the third day before the pus stopped pouring and just started dripping out. I stayed on admission again for another 1 week, my babies were even discharged before me and were brought to me in d ward. God helping us, d pus has dried up, although I'm still on antibiotics, but God saved my life. I still wonder why none of d docs ever suspected sepsis. My malaria result came out and showed negative, which means all that while, I didn't have malaria. We are home now and doing well. For mamas that will do CS, pls don't ignore any extra pain you feel, always keep the site dry and clean with spirit regularly, d docs didn't tell me this. Thanks everyone for the messages, I'm sorry can't mention names individually couldn't read back. I appreciate you all. Cc Rofemiguwa pls what's d name of the electric breast pump you bought? November mamas, wish you all safe delivery. October mamas, go into d delivery room and come out victorious. I would try to be regular again, won't be easy though with two babies. Stay blessed |
My BS, My Testimony (Part 3) MATTHEW 3 days after my CS, I started feeling pains again, have chills and high temperature. To walk was a problem, I couldn't bend, I couldn't get up from d bed except with pains. I complained to d doctor's and they said malaria. I was started on malaria tablets and my pain killer dosage continued, once the pain killer wears off, I would feel so terrible, I started looking forward to taking the pain killers as I need to go feed my babies. After 2 days and i wasnt feeling better, I complained to the docs again and they changed the malaria tabs to injections, then took my blood for malaria test. I was on malaria injections for another 2 days and felt slightly better, so I started pressing for discharge, although I was still so much abdominal pain. If I complain about the pain, they would look at me like 'you just had CS na', so I kept mute, continued my pain killers and hoped it would go. I was subsequently discharged and I moved to mothers room as my babies were still in SCBU and I needed to be around to feed them. The first morning after my discharge in SCBU, I felt something wet on my nightie in my tummy area, my CS line area, it was really smelly. My heart broke, could it be pus ?...I put my hand to check and yes, my CS line was infected and it was leaking pus. I went back to d ward I was just discharged d previous day, met a doc who said I had already been discharged and needed to go through A&E. On my way to A&E, people were looking at me funny, I was smelling! At A&E the doc pressed on my tummy to drain out the pus, my sisters you needed to see d way it was pouring, everywhere was smelling, she had to wear something to cover her nose, she pressed and pressed and it poured on. She had to loosen some stitches to drain it well, and it splashed on her body and everywhere. She started saying 'Jesus Jesus, this woman you're lucky, how have you been living with this, thank God you came when you did. This is serious, God saved your life' After she drained what she could and dressed d site, I was able to stand straight and walk well that I couldn't do for days, she readmitted me and I was taken back to the ward |
My BS, My Testimony (Part 2) MALACHI In the theatre, one anestiologist was on ground, he said he couldn't proceed as they had to be 2 on ground. He tried calling the 2nd person and she wasn't picking, all these while, I was still pushing with contractions, the woman finally picked and asked d guy on ground to go ahead, he replied her that they both needed to be on ground, and I heard her shout through the phone that 'be there na' At this point I just started praying, casting and binding. The gynae to do the surgery got angry, nurses were angry, I was just praying, didn't want to go into surgery with this type of atmosphere, all this while, kept contracting on the theatre table. The woman finally came after they kept bombarding her phone with calls, gynae said the contractions were too strong so they should give me general anesthesia as I won't be able to sit still for spinal, I refused fast fast, heard too many stories of people who don't come out of GA. Glory to God surgery started and went well, my daughter was brought out first and then it took d gynae sometime to bring out my son, he said he was looking for his leg as he couldn't drag him with his hand, so he came out in distress . I caught just a glimpse of them before they were both rushed to SCBU. I was stitched up and wheeled to the ward. Was able to get up the next day and I went to see my babies. My heart broke at how small they were. My road to recovery started, or so I thought.... |
My BS, My testimony (part. 1) The 3rd of September started like every other day, woke up heavy with heart burn, went about my normal activities, and because I suffered bad heartburn the previous night, decided to eat my last meal by 5pm, didn't know God was preparing me for the emergency CS that I would eventually have that day. GENESIS At about 12.30 pm I got up to ease myself, got back to my bed and just before I dozed off, felt a very sharp pain, took it as one of those things and tried to continue sleeping, but I started feeling like I was weeing on my body, my pant was wet, I remember mumbling 'has d every 5 mins weeing started already'?, got up and went back to d toilet, only to discover I couldn't hold d 'urine' coming out. It was just pouring. My mind said 'ebony13 its your water' and I was like 'taaah, shut up' but when the water wouldn't stop flowing, it dawned on me, I got scared, woke my hubby up and then started crying. I was just 32 weeks. I wasn't ready. Hubby calmed me down and we decided to go to d hospital in d morning. The next thing I felt was bam! Contractions! I panicked, I cried, asked God why me, after all I went through to have these children. Timed the contractions it was coming every 15 mins, then every 10 mins. We had to leave for d hospital immediately. On getting to the hospital,Contractions had become very painful. I alerted d nurses, nurses alerted d doc, and running around began. They had to put everything in place. At this time I was already contracting every 3mins, started vomiting, shouting down d place. The nurses kept saying breath through your mouth, I tried it and it didn't work Nada. They came to check for my babies heartbeat and got only one, I noticed them giving themselves d look but I was in too much pain to ask. Another nurse came to check, same thing, one heartbeat. Before finally a doc came to check and got both, tears just started pouring from my eyes During the contractions, I was really scared because I still had my cerclage on, I was screaming 'I don't want my cervix to tear o', the next thing I knew my body started pushing with each contraction. I started screaming ' I'm pushing o, its pushing me o' That was when everyone started doubling up their speed and I was wheeled to the theatre. The time contraction started and when I started feeling to push was just about 2 hrs. I remember asking one of the nurses, ' why is it so fast? I thought they said ftm labour isn't fast'? Amidst contractions o. In the teatre, another drama started |
Hello babes its been a long while. Had my twin babies on the 3rd of September, and since then it's been a roller coaster ride so couldn't update. Would be back to share my BS. Thanks to God for safe delivery |
runsaway:Don't know which is Shirokdah or MacDonald, would browse on it shortly. I wasn't placed under GA though, just from my legs down. I could feel d pulling and all although I didn't feel pain. So it's painful to remove ehn? Good it would be done during CS then I actually read online that it's an outpatient procedure but my doc insisted on a few days monitoring. |
Omojudy:Congrats o. I'm sure your mind is at rest now. I didn't stay at the hospital for that long after cerclage o. Did mine on a Wednesday and was discharged on Saturday. Runsaway thanks for that info on when your cerclage was removed. My doc says mine would be removed during CS at 38 weeks. I'm just scared of what if I start contracting before then. It is well |

No it isn't. Thanks. Wish you safe delivery too. You're already close to d finish line. |
amypearl:My gynae prescribed it for me at about 14weeks, my gynae prescribed it for me and I didn't have a bump then. I guess if it's safe in first trim it would be also in 2nd trim. Nothing to worry about. Congrats limsycutey! God bless your LO |
