Politics / Re: Attack On Ebonyi Community Not By Fulani Herdsmen– Kelechi Igwe, Deputy Governor by ebonyking: 3:37am On Apr 14, 2021
Penguin2:

Don’t just open your mouth waaaah and dabble what you don’t know about in a public forum.

That part of Ebonyi has been in constant border clashes with Benue people who are their neighbors in that region.

The fighting has been there for long.

When I read the news of Bandits attacking that place, I had my doubts because I knew it was possibly those from Benue that attacked them and not Fulani herdsmen but I wanted to get facts before reacting.

If you are informed enough, you will recall when the two state govts raised a combined team of peace negotiators only for Ebonyi team to fall under attack on their way to Benue for the meeting.

So next time, ask to be informed before you talk.

And the Benue people had openly denied the attack

Don't you think that someone is trying to take advantage of the crisis here?
Politics / Re: Malami: Atiku Not Fit To Contest For President, His Parents Are Cameroonians by ebonyking: 10:07pm On Apr 06, 2021
It's really funny the level at which our judiciary has degenerated to.

The key question that they left to answer is in what circumstance did Atiku's parents become Nigerians?

Again, did the Nigerian Constitution specify that the direct offsprings of a naturalised immigrant should no right to contest elective post in the country

1. They want to be queen in kingless kingdom

2. They want to be treated equally as men only it favor them but are quick to complain on not being treated right when it doesn't favor them

3. They want fairness in our competitive world but won't complain when they get a FREE PASS at nightclubs and men don't.

4. The don't complain of unfairness and double when companies are compelled to give a certain employment quota solely to women and men none.

5. They are FREE to change their minds and walk out of a relationship without repercussions but a man don't. A visit to the courts will attest to that.

6. It's right for them to seen and taken as a gift but a No! No No! when a man wants to be treated as such.

7. They want an end to "gender roles" but talk of asking a man out, "no that's his job".
8. They want equality and fairness but won't complain when women and children are given priority over men in emergencies.

9. A man who doesn't send child support is automatically a "dead beat dad" but a woman lost custody of the kids to their dad and doesn't send child support, "it's her choice"

There are various ways by which anyone can start earning income at his or her leisure while leveraging on the internet and one of the them is affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing is a arrangement where by you refer people to any particular product or service that they may be interested in, for some financial rewards.

There are many kinds of affiliate marketing programs that abound today. They are as follows:

1. PAY-PER-SALE - you get paid here when someone makes a purchase from your own unique referral link

2. PAY-PER-CLICK - just as the imply, you get paid when someone clicks on your unique referral link and visit the merchant's webpage

3. PAY-PER-CALL - here you get paid for the length of calls that people you referred made to the merchant

4. PAY-PER-LEAD - you get paid for generating quality leads for the merchant. All that someone needs to do is go through your referral link and submit his or her email, phone and/or zip code and you get paid a flat fee for lead generated.

Isn't the idea of getting paid for anyone you refer to put in their email or phone number in a webpage awesome?

There are many platforms that offer the opportunity that start earning income from this rare opportunity. However most of them don't accept affiliates from 3rd Tier countries

Eiyaaaaaa.......i know the feeling. Don't let your heart worry because I have dug deep and these two platforms that accepts anyone not minding if he or she is from Sahara Desert and is absolute beginner

Romance / 8 Big Mistakes Women Make With Men That Push Men Away by ebonyking: 5:42pm On Dec 17, 2020
1. Trying To Coerce Him Into Marriage There's this temptation to start planning for marriage in your mind when you meet you meet a good man, finally. Be warned! Such a move can scare the man away because he is most likely to see you as to too desperate and that your sole aim is to trap him into marriage.

2. Comparing Him To Other Men:

It's hard to resist the temptation of desiring that he treats you like Mr A or Mr B treats his woman that start wondering why you your man doesn't measure to the way the other does. Please understand that every person is unique in his or her own ways and appreciate him for whom he is.

Wanting him to be like that other man is a quick way to kill off whatever you guys and to push him away.

3. Not Giving Him Enough Space —

Believe it or not the fact remains that men love their space. Anything other than that, makes them feel like they are being held in captivity

Once in a while he may want to hangout with friends or even be alone by himself. Don't fail to give him, his needed space or make a habit to invade his privacy by reading him texts and monitoring him with spywares because you push him by doing so

4. Faking, Just To Get Him And Then Showing Your Real Self -

Many women tend to speak softly , easily complements men over any little thing. They dress sexy and carry themselves elegantly when they are dating but the story changes as soon as they get married to the man, she becomes a quarrelsome fellow, fights over very small issues.

Romance / Facts About Men - 6 Ways Men Are Different From Women by ebonyking: 1:35am On Dec 15, 2020
1. SUCCESS - Both men and women want it all. The difference being that women want a balance in life and is most likely to reject a job offer that doesn't offer that. Men on their part want status and status symbols like houses, cars etc.

2. Emotion - Both men and women feel love but they express it differently. A woman easily talks and shares about her feelings of love, hate and anger but for a man, it's a different story. He rarely talks about it the way a woman does, as a result of the societal standard that expect a man to be "strong".

3. Conflicts - They react and manage conflicts differently. A bad day for a woman is most likely going to end in tears and she relapses in the mode of apportioning blames to who did this and that.

A man is most likely to into some outburst after which you will get him shutting out the situation. You may even find him removing himself from the scene.

Romance / Six Things Which Makes A Man Fall Out Of Love by ebonyking: 3:22am On Dec 13, 2020
1.Mind games : Men hate mind games and unnecessary emotional drama. We deal with too many manipulative situations in real world. We don’t want the same from our lovers. Some times tantrums and a bit girly behavior is cute, but all the times, it kinda suck. Girls use various tactics to keep men at their feet by employing the following tactics

a.Disallowing physical love or withholding sex as a soft (cruel) punishment. I have heard a female friend of mine confessing to me that ‘to teach him a lesson’, I will be nice to him, fulfill his every desire but with hold sex or physical touch!

b. The silent treatment which is nothing but a combination of emotional and psychological toture.

c. Stressing the man out by taking time that longer than necessary for every thing like a date or accepting your proposals by creating a false time lag, which is often done get more power in the relationship.

d. Purposely not initiating everything the relationship including little things like text messages, calls etc under the pretense of being different or just weird

e. Being playful or flirty with other males on purpose so as to make their man appreciate them more.

f. Starting unnecessary quarrel over minor issues like, why did he waved at another girl or something like that and using such a situation to gain control over the man

g. The mistake of addressing her male as ‘just a good friend’ and the man's female friends as ‘that bitch’!

2 .Not been open with expression of love and expecting the man to understand your body language and the romantic vibes she may be sending out. Men are dry lovers but becomes very expressive of their love once they fall in love. Shyness is okay but you have to open up. Men are not masters in decoding body language and subtle clues. We need love and we want you to say it openly.

3. Flakiness : One thing that I am yet to understand is the why Women often seem to derive some koy in being to dates and appointments. However you have them keeping to time when they are on a professional assignment. This may seem a trivial issue but takes a toll on relationships in long run.

4. Argumentative over petty issues : Men are not like women. We do not internalize every line said by every one. Women in particular get very touchy, specially with their love interest and starts to dissect each and every word, every gesture and everything else combined! In the process they tend to become too bossy and dominating. This goes against natural instincts of men. Be cool and do not always nag over unimportant issues. Love must be freedom and not a rope around your neck.

5. Too much show
off : Men hate unnecessary show off and that Aww… over everything. We are not that fake and pretending (and can’t be). Our best friend is always BC to us and not sweetieee, cutieee and bestieee! We do not always like too much show off specially on social media. Love is a private affair for most of us.

6. Control Freak: Make no mistake, no man will be happy in a relationship where the partner is a control freak. Giving him advice is good once in a while but when it becomes a regular occurrence and most importantly when it goes with famous "can't you do it for me". Men want only love and no no baggage along with it. Its good that you think about us and gently remind us to change ourselves and we do comply, but not all the time baby.

Four Ghanaian police officers are being investigated for allegedly stealing €7,000 from an Italian couple at Osu in the capital, Accra.

The couple Daniele Migfiorisi and Ferien Oklomode accused the law enforcers of theft after they were stopped for a random search on Monday, December 23, 2019 on their way to the airport to fly to Italy.

The four accused police officers are Cpl Amos Dery of Osu Motorbike patrols, Cpl Morgan Adjierah of RCID, Cpl John Alaldago of Bravo Rover Unit and Const. Lawson K.  Makafui of Mounted Squadron.

Politics / Re: Ghanaians Declare War On Nigerians. Vowing To Lock Up All Nigerian Owned Shop. by ebonyking: 4:22pm On Dec 07, 2019
I beg you guys (Nigerians & Ghanaians), this is a serious matter that can't be solved with insults and counter insults and postering of which country is superior and which will suffer in the event of another trade war as was the case in Ghana in 1969 during the BUSIA/AKUFU-ADO administration and 1983 during the SHAGARI administration.

Here are some basic facts we need to understand about the retail feud between Nigerian & Ghanaian traders in Ghana:

1. Before independence of Nigeria and Ghana from the British, there's what is known as the Commonwealth CITIZENSHIP of British West Africa.

2. By the above, anyone from any British territory in West Africa is viewed as a citizen in any other British territory he/she chose to migrate & settle in.

3. Many people of Nigerian origin settled in the old Gold Coast (old name for Ghana), they participated in all aspects of the society from Cocoa farming to retail marketing and even Politics and were very successful, to the envy of the indigenes

4. It's because of the above that you get many Ghanaians claiming Nigerian ancestry like the present Ghanaian ambassador to Nigeria

5. With independence came nationhood and a re-adjusted citizen by which citizenship by birth began to take the upper hand.

6. With rising population and unemployment, and dwindling economy, non-Ghanaians were blamed for the economic woes and rising crime rate

7. The then Nkrumah administration promulgated the ALIEN COMPLIANCE ACT by which all non-indigenes are expected to rectify their immigration papers/status.

8. Remember that Nkrumah is a foremost Pan-Africanist and a champion of a UNITED STATES OF AFRICA project

9. Perhaps that was why he couldn't enforce the above mentioned ACT on a large scale. However he used it to deport some of his CPP party's strong opponent back to Kano and Osun states in Nigeria.

10. The anger against non- indigenes dominance in many areas of the Ghanaian economic life fuelled by the media, continued unabated until the NPP government of BUSIA/AKUFU-ADO

11. In 1969 They ordered all ALIENS i.e non-indigenes without proper documentation to leave Ghana within 14 days.

12. Their money in the banks were confiscated

13. The administration went to make a law barring non-indigenes from participating in certain areas of the economy like retail trading, printing, barbering etc

14. The administration's action were praised by a majority of the Ghanaian society as being Patriotic

15. Did that solve the economic woes in the country? Your guess is as good mine but the administration was soon overthrown, the perpetrators siting economic hardship as their reasons

16. Ghanaians trouped to Nigeria en mass in 1970s and 80s

17. The SHAGARI administration ordered them out giving rise to what we know today as GHANA MUST GO.

18. Fast forward to 2013, the law barring non-indigenes from engaging in retail businesses was made an ACT OF PARLIAMENT under their Investment Protocol (GIPC) which runs counter to the ECOWAS protocol treaty which Ghana signed during the administration of General Acheapomg .

19. The reason why various administration since 2013 have not being able to enforce the GIPC law barring non-Ghanaians from retail traders and pernalising those who flout their law

.. ... you won't believe it if I tell you that Nigeria already have it but it's being over shadowed by by our access to banking.

Which I can tell you is almost non existent in Ghana before the arrival of Nigerian banks namely: Guarantee Trust, First Bank, Access, First Atlantic, Zenith etc

This may sound funny but it's a known facts that Nigerian banks are a major players in the Ghanaian banking industry, having about 60% of the market share.

UPDATE: We Supply Ghana Manpower, We Get Insults Back

NIGERIAN PROFESSOR ARRESTED BY GHANAIAN POLICE

A Nigerian Professor of English, Prof. Austin Nwagbara, has lamented the ways Nigerians are treated in Ghana.

In the video obtained by SaharaReporters, Nwagbara was seen talking to a group of Nigerians in the video about the poor quality of Ghana’s varsities and unfair treatment to Nigerians in Ghana.

Nwagbara recounted how he heard some Ghanaian leaders abuse Nigerians despite the country’s contributions to their economy.
“They (Ghana) are using our manpower. We have an advantage that we supply to them. What are we getting back? Insults!”

The don urged the Nigerian government to swiftly respond to reports of crimes and kidnapping attributed to Nigerians by withdrawing its investment to Ghana.

He said, “Our people (Nigerians) will come here (Ghana) and pay $10,000 (as tuition) but they will not pay N20,000 in the University of Lagos…what an average student pays in the University of Lagos in one session to get a degree in English is N12,000.

“If you ask Nigerians to donate N50,000 every year to contribute to that University, they will riot but the same Nigerians will come here and pay $10, 000 for something 80% inferior to Nigeria. I won’t pay 10% of that sum ($10,000) for my child to study to get a degree in a Ghanaian university. I am in the system, I know. The quality of education here (Ghana) is 80 per cent inferior to what we have in Nigeria.

“No Ghanaian degree is 20% up to the quality of a Nigerian degree. All our federal universities are better than any universities here (Ghana). What makes a university? It’s not buildings, it’s not trees; it’s the quality of staff that will recycle and produce others. They don’t have it.”

For criticizing Ghana’s varsities and exposing unfair treatment to Nigerians in Ghana, a Nigerian Professor of English, Prof. Austin Nwagbara, was arrested by the Criminal Investigative Department of the Ghana Police Service yesterday.

SaharaReporters gathered that Nwagbara was arrested –later granted bail – in Ghana for a viral video in which he criticised Ghana’s varsities and the way the Ghanaian media has been painting Nigerians black in the wake of recent kidnappings in Ghana.

Reacting to negative reports about Nigeria being peddled by Ghanaians, Nwagbara said, “I’ve been a pressman, there is no absolute truth in the media. The truth is the truth as it is presented. Let us use our own media and get back to them (Ghana). Let us see life cases, let our media with this story say we want to go to their prisons to see Nigerians, of course, they will turn you back, you broadcast it.

And by the time you’re through, you run series of documentaries on Nigerians-Ghana relations and sir, we’ll make history.

“We’re highly skilled, highly talented and blessed people but many at the time we lack strategy, Nigerians tend to lack strategy. You can have good skills, if you don’t know how to let people know it, it is there; it dies, like having a factory full of items in the warehouse. If you don’t advertise it remains in the warehouse”.

“They have harassed us a lot, I know that... What I’m saying is we need strategies. I’ll suggest something which the embassy can think about. There is a bad image for Nigeria; we can take it back through the press. We can reverse it. We have powerful Nigerian media stations, ChannelsTV broadcast all over the world, there’s active social media.

Let them come here (Ghana) and run documentaries on the experiences of Nigerians and blast it all over the world. In three days Ghana would respond.

“I have been a media person, you cannot be here and suffering. Let the leaders get our media persons to come here to cover what has been happening. Go to the student community, go to the business community, go to everywhere; go to the embassy.

Go and confront the officials with the information, air it, within one week I can tell you part of worse happening. I’m sorry to say it but this is within us, the present government in Ghana came on the grounds of Nigeria bashing. I’ve listened to things some of their top leaders have said all over the world in major places. We did not take it back, if we take it back they will sit up, so media strategy is one.”

Nwagbara called for the introduction of help lines at different embassies, airports and immigration offices to address cases of human right abuses against Nigerians.

“Do we have help lines? If I am in a problem, who do I call? Can’t we have Nigerian help lines at entry points in different countries? If we have contacts, it will be easier. They have sold us as criminal and we have bought it.”e

.. officially the population of Nigeria is put at 200 million which is over times plus, when compared to Ghana which is put 29 - 30 million

The land mass alone is about 5 times bigger, when compared to Ghana and much more when compared with either Togo or Benin.

Population demographics state that in about 5 black West Africans, you will get 1 - 2 Nigerian

So what does this mean?

The case is simple. Nigerians is almost certain to get a share in any major issue globally whether it's good or bad

However may I remind United States of America (USA) is so big that it can swallow up Nigeria 3 times over has a statistics that at least 2 persons is murdered every day(may be more) in a gun related violence, with states of Detroit and California having the highest occurence.

I have heard or read anything anywhere in the world that tends portray USA, citizens as gun carrying gangsters or something like that.

...but in West Africa, it's different.
(make I end am here, for now)

Source: https://mobile.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/Nigerian-Professor-hatches-plot-to-tear-up-Ghana-755688

A Nigerian Professor at the University of Ghana by name Augustine Nwabara is inciting the Nigerian media and community in Ghana to take up strategies that would destroy the image of Ghana to the world.

In a video gone viral on social media, the Prof in a meet up with some Nigerians in the country implored the Nigerian media to tear in the eyes of the international community through negative reportage.

According to the professor, Nigeria already has a bad image mainly because of how they’ve been branded by others especially by Ghana, so it is time to reciprocate that by coming up with innovative ideas and strategies.

Citing some strategies for their mission to work effectively, the professor said “We’re highly skilled and highly talented and blessed people but many at time we lack strategy, Nigerians tend to lack strategy. You can have good skills, if you don’t know how to let people know it, it is there; dies, like having a factory full of items in the warehouse. If you don’t advertise it remains in the warehouse”.

“They have harassed us a lot, I know that... What I’m saying is we need strategies. I’ll suggest something which the embassy can think about; I know they know which they can do immediately at the Nigerians community. There is bad image for Nigeria; we can take it back through the press. We can reverse it. We have powerful Nigerian media stations, channels broadcast all over the world, there’s active online social media, the plot in Nigeria. Let them come here and run documentaries of the experiences of Nigerians and blast it all over the world. In three days Ghana would respond".

According to the professor who says he was once a media person and has expertise in how it works, whatever agenda the Nigeria media set will work out positively as people believe every news item that comes from the media is the truth although that is not usually the case.

Advocating the need to extensively utilise this mode, he called on the Nigerian leaders to take advantage of this strategy as it will be the key to destroy the image of Ghana since Nigerians can’t be the only ones to be branded as bad or evil.

“I have been a media person, you cannot be here and suffering. Let the leaders get our media persons come here to cover what has been happening. Go to the student community, go to the business community, go to everywhere; come to the embassy.

Go and confront the officials with the information, air it, within one week I can tell you part of worse happening. I’m sorry to say it but this is within us, the present government in Ghana came on the grounds of Nigeria bashing. I’ve listened to things some of their top leaders have said all over the world in major places. We did not take it back, if we take it back they will sit up, so media strategy one”.

“Use their own media; but you know something, I’ve been a pressman, there is no absolute truth in the media. The truth is truth as it is presented. Let us use our own media and get back to them. Let us see life cases, let our media with this story say we want to go to their prisons to see Nigerians, of course, they will turn you back, you broadcast it. And by the time you’re through run series of documentaries on Nigerians relations and sir we’ll take history”, he suggested.

He further revealed that there has been a long-standing rivalry between Ghana and Nigerian dating back to Kwame Nkrumah’s time, which is known by few indicating that it is about time Nigerians let Ghanaians know they are ahead in everything.

“That rivalry has been there because we don’t tell them the truth. They don’t know, historically there is that rivalry. Its sibling rivalry but the truth is that it’s a rivalry between an elder brother and a younger brother. It’s the rivalry all over Africa”.

Advising on how to make it work without being obvious, the professor said “Let’s take back our image, let’s take them on step by step in very subtle forms not frontal, not open”.

chymevicks:

Culture is a people's way of life and what they do to sustain and promote longevity of these ways.
Igbos use kolanut for all their cultural occasions does not mean they produce it more than Yorubas.
Finland has maintained their coffee drinking culture without considering the fact that Brazil is the highest producer and that it does not grow in the Scandinavia.

Apply your logic well.

Culture =simply way of life

The globally acclaimed KENTE print/textile that we have come to attribute is nothing but a cheap copy of the original KENTE of the Ashanti/Asante people of Ghana which is hand-woven till today and can be as tick as or even heavier than our Ashoke

It's quite funny how the discussion here has deviated from that the poster say students dressed in beautiful ANKARA wears going onto the origin of ANKARA, whether it's from the Netherlands or Ghana

Even though I agree that that Ankara may not not originated from Nigeria, but that doesn't mean we can't make it ours just like Malaysia did with our Oil Palm.

If you have been or lived in Ghana, you will know that their ladies easily go for the 'anagos' i.e foreigners/strangers for what they will gain, not primarily love.

I don't know about other areas but I have confirmed the divorce rate is high when compared with eastern naija especially those married to financially capable men

Also know that the Ghananian society is primarily a matrineal one unlike Nigerian society that is patrineal
