Wow, that's quite interesting. Never thought the remote gig would be 1/4 of a million. Seems like it was an internship. Overall, that's a nice step process.

For the stack field, seems Node.js(MERN stack) is king. I'm into Java though, trying to wrap my head around Spring Framework, Hibernate and SQL. That's enough for my back end path for now. Got a Gig offer recently, but I rejected it because my Learning is not up to "job" level yet. By March, I would pitch again.

The world has moved on. You don't need a physical Bootcamp to learn. I joined an online training program and after 3 months of learning and practice I built my first project. That project fetch me over 5million in the first year for just one client. That is some 2 years back. You can imagine what I have learnt down the lane.

What you need is a good learning platform but more importantly a mentor to guide you and a support community.

Make sure you have a very very very honest intention to learn pentesting. It's a very sensitive role and given the reputation of Nigerians been fraudsters, you might struggle to get jobs. But if you are consistent and persistent about it, and keep a very visible online presence to show some level of credibility ; the sky will not be your limit. It will only be a stepping stone

They are gonna be teaching you the MERN stack which i wouldn't lie would be very hard to get a job in Nigeria especially as a junior developer. Heaven knows I hate Nodejs

I applied for Alx Africa which is a company that offers 12 months Software engineering courses and it's free of charge , also a way to get a job in African silicon valley after you're done with the course and pass of course.
