The government of Ogun State have denied claims that there is a break in relationship with its workforce.

According to the state Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Basorun Muyiwa Oladipo who is also one of the gubernatorial aspirants on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), says there is no truth in the assertion, the Governor has had a good relationship with workers and always acknowledge contributions.

He said;

"There is no iota of truth in the allegation of unsavoury relationship between both parties."

The United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) on Saturday, received from the Nigerian Army, 23 minors that were rescued from Boko Haram to begin their rehabilitation.

It is the Theatre Commander of Operation Lafiya Dole, Major-General Abbah Dikko who made it known at the command headquarters in Maiduguri, saying that the exercise was in compliance of the global best practice.

He further said that the gesture was in line with the commitment of the Army to promote Civil-Military relationship in order to provide lasting solution to the troubles in the North-east.

Mr Geoffrey Ijumba, UNICEF Chief of Field Office, Borno State, who received the minors said UNICEF was working with the military and Borno government through the Ministry of Women Affairs to provide medical attention, psychological and social supports to victims displaced by the Boko Haram conflicts.

He said, “For these children, the long journey towards reuniting with their families, with their communities and fulfilling their dreams starts immediately.
