MTN 4G LTE is a revolution!

I watch live matches on my Lappy, downloading anything is a matter of seconds...
The band is super fast.

Had to go dump my Etisalat line. Fuckêd up line and unnecessarily expensive.

Phyno is not really known for videos and this didn't disappoint. The video didn't tell the story in the loaded song.

I can only pick a few Phyno videos that actually made sense.. Fada Fada, Nnunu,

I'm waiting for the video of the hit track in that his new album - Okpeke. Hope he does it good this time around.
Business / Re: Investment Inflow To Nigeria Drops To 10-year Low by echelons(m): 7:37am On Feb 02, 2017
The economy is in all time low for the country, coupled with a President that went all out to de-market his country and a team of economic advisers that are always countering their policies..

Who will put his hard earned money into a economy that will mess it up.

And they say we shouldn't protest? angry

Politics / Re: FG Extends 2016 Budget Implementation To March 2017 by echelons(m): 7:25am On Jan 01, 2017
A departure from the old norm and a welcome development.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives made this appeal during the 2017 Budget presentation and for the first time, the Buhari administration listened to sound advice.

There will definitely be a delay in the pasaage and signing into law the 2017 budget, so for us not to stall the ongoing capital projects, it's best we continue to fund them via the 2016 budgets.

The next thing is to make sure that next year's budget is passed in time so there wouldn't be need for this special intervention as funds not spent in a budget year are meant to be returned to the TSA.

Kudos to the Finance team.

Car Talk / Re: Documents Needed When Buying A Used Car by echelons(m): 7:32am On Dec 30, 2016
nurey:
1. custom documents fully stamped and check whether all things correspond like name and model of car, VIN and all payments were made. Mostly like 6 or more papers could be photocopy if multiple cars were cleared by one dealer but make sure it is a clear crisp document not faded crap and don't take the nobody will ask you for customer paper crap, it could spell doom or stolen vehicle.

2. CMR (computerized motor registration) original copy

3. Current insurance (original copy)

4. Vehicle licence (original copy)

5. Road worthiness certificate (original copy)

6. Plate number allocation (original copy)

7. Original proof of ownership fully stamped

8. You will collect two printed and signed documents
a. Change of ownership document
b. Receipt of purchase from previous owner

There are some other documents you may need like
1. Tinted permit doc
2. police report/doc of change of ownership/plate number/engine number (which we call vin)

make sure you see the change of ownership letter given to the buyer duly signed when he first bought it as Nigerian used except the car was bought as tokunbo then you may not need this.

Once the car doesn't have custom doc except it's a beetle and the documents have expired years ago, I suggest you stay away from such ride.

You have said it all.

That your predecessors engaged in criminal enrichment and stealing of official cars does not warrant that you do so, and because as a criminal you overlooked your predecessors knowing fully well that you'll steal your own when it's your turn doesn't mean your successor shouldn't probe your nefarious activities.
NPF is a proven den of corrupt men (and women).
Imagine buying a brand new SUV for somebody you clearly know stole 9 vehicles and left you in debt.. what's the justification?

Mr. Arase, please spare us the nonsense talk and get ready for your days in court, and likely in prison.

Religion / Re: Why Is Christmas Called Xmas? by echelons(m): 6:06pm On Dec 25, 2016
It's Christmas biko.

The X is the unknown variable as used in Mathematics (which means you can substitute the X for anything you want to celebrate on that day) and this is a result of watering down of all Christian values by Americans.

In America now, it's now likely you'll hear Happy Holidays than Merry Christmas on 25th December.

I won't argue since you have close relations in the army. But I think the welfare standard in our military is one of the poorest . we have heard a lot happening from moles within their ranks to lack of simple equipment such as night vision goggles.(late Colonel Ali).they aren't in some far away country. We should be able to supply our troops in NIGERIA.

Nothing is ever of high standard anywhere in Nigeria be it in the healthcare sector, education, banking and finance, housing and even the military but we have been living. This apparent lack in the military theatre does not in any way warrant an attack on your GOC, a whole Major General. That's wrong and brazen show of lack of discipline and endurance which is expected of any soldier in Sambisa after all they are not in a hotel.
That the GOC allegedly brought the items himself shows his intention to make the operation move on and douse tensions.
Those involved (if true) should be severely punished.
I can't even show resent and gross indiscipline to my line supervisor at the office without getting serious reprimand from Human Resources. The chain of command must never be broken.

I was even beginning to applaud this man's effort in the power sector till this past 4 weeks. Have bought fuel worth more than I've paid for electricity bill since January.

The only meaningful thing I'm seeing on their 7-point achievement are just the 3rd and 5th point. Number 4 is a fallout of number 3 so both are meant to be on the same line.

Others are quite useless.

Being elected as OPEC sec gen doesn't add anything to anything, Dieziani was elected OPEC chairman too yet nothing happened.

Hope the New JV cash call or whatever jargon there are using is worth it for the masses.

Politics / Re: Ministers Caught Sleeping During Budget Presentation (Photos) by echelons(m): 12:31pm On Dec 15, 2016
None of them was sleeping abeg.
Unless you're expecting them to all sit up like it's a high grade military briefing.
This is a relaxed environment and they are bound to take different postures yet very attentive.
I watched this event live on TV and not one time did i see any one of them sleeping.

In the other news, the budget is full of hope.
Presentation was as usual, dry.
Dogara made a lot of sense in his closing remarks - the President should equally engage in fight against abandoned budgets which eventually cause abandoned projects.

Phones / Re: Minister Advises Nigerians To Brace For Telecom Data Price Increase by echelons(m): 7:43am On Dec 07, 2016
Nutase:
This man has been compromised.
Market forces should be allowed to play out naturally and not be manipulated. A price war is very healthy for the consumers especially when there is no single dominant player (note that we have 4 dominant players and none of them have ever declared that they are operating at a loss).
If the barriers to entry are not to the small players favours why did they enter the market? I believe these small companies he is referring to are owned by some top government officials.
The truth remains that these Telecom's companies would never have slashed data prices if it would have made them run at a loss.
If NCC are allowed to increase data price based on this frivolous excuse that cost of business is high in Nigeria very soon CBN will tell banks that run generator sets 24/7 to increase charges based on the same excuse.

The senators are already sounding compromised.

I weep for my country.

The Chairman of Board of Ntel is Gen. TY Danjuma and that says a lot.

It's all about government officials, their cabals and their companies.
