It depend on how far back one wants to go as far as the party who do well well in midterms. My reference to midterms were relative to turnouts, as GOP tend to do better when turns are low and midterms and off-cycle elections are low turnout elections.

Agreed, the Democrats have to defend more seat in Red districts that Trump won, but if you combined that with the districts that GOP have to now give up because of the gerrymandering, I think the Democrats will still keep the House in 2020.

The Senate are highly favored to keep the Senate in 2020, only about 4 GOP Senators are in competitive races.

For the Presidency, Trump is still favored to win, that is because of the power of the incumbency and the fact that the economy is doing well. The US economy is cyclical, which means years of uptrend are immediately followed by years of downtrend...The current uptrend started with the Obama bailouts, but no one knows when they will end. So, Predicting the POTU election outcome now will be challenging, but the Democrats will help their chances, if Biden or Pete is nominated, Warren will be a drag on their hopes.

I think both parties are jittery, Trump truly wanted to get dirty on Biden from a foreign government; agreed he did not get it, until he was caught, but if he thinks the elections are in the bags, he wouldn't be doing that.

Yes, electors vote for the President, but you are wrong to equate that as majority of Americans.

In 2016, Trump won the electoral college vote, but majority of Americans voted against him.

Agreed, he might rewin again in 2020; but if you look at the mid term elections that historically favor Republicans, the Democrats won lots of districts carried by Trump. If the turn out in 2020 is big and in steps with the mid term 2020 elections, Trump will lose.... but he have the power of the incumbency and historically, it is very difficult to defeat an incumbent US President.

The midterm elections historically favour the opposition party to that of the president especially in the house. The idea is for an opposition checks on the president. You might like to verify your claim.

The republican party has won almost all the off-cycle house elections this year.

2020 is not far away, but the democrats are already jittery.

Forget about Trump's style, it's a rare thing to actually get a politician who clearly keeps the promises he's made during campaign, and Donald Trump has even done much more for the non-elitists Americans.

There is no way to access Americans support of Trump governance than with the 2016 general elections. Anyone who makes such a claim cannot mean anything other than that as there are no verifiable surveys to demonstrate the support of Americans for the Trump administration.

If you opine that it is the 2020 elections that has not happened yet, then either you have a time machine with which you travelled into the future to come to that knowledge or you're just looking for a way to win the argument and that rather compounds your ignorance.

Having said that. Dude, majority of Americans is not the same as majority of electoral college votes.

So next time use the right words. By reason of the US electoral system, Trump won the election but coincidentally he didn't win the popular vote.

One would suppose that someone privy to the above information will not go about making claims such as "majority of Americans are in support of the Trump governance"

"Are the majority of Americans is support this government? 2020 will tell."

The above is what I wrote initially. To think I would explain this simple statement to you TWICE is really worrying.

2016, Trump was just a candidate and had no government for the people to support.

2020 will be a referendum on his government, and if he wins it, it means majority of the Americans support him, despite the charade impeachment.

Trump does not need popular votes concocted by CNN to win, he needs the majority of the electoral college. Would he also loved to win the popular votes? From what I've read and watched about him, yes he would. But he planned his elections, and went for swing states. He even won historically democratic states.

And to think you even opined that I was a kid! I'm no longer angry so I'm more civil this time around.

The fact that you actually understood what I wrote to mean 2016 election results shows you're actually lack comprehension capacity.

But to clear you, America's constitution only recognises Electoral College, not on absolute votes for electoral victory for the President, and on that Trump beat Clinton hands down; 306 to 232.

I can school you on America's elections and democracy since 1999.

It's clear you find it difficult to comprehend written items, so I will do you service by explaining what I meant earlier.
It is with 2020 elections that we will know how much the American people support the president.

I still wonder why you found it so difficult to comprehend at first instance.

Maybe you should be agitating for the impeachment of your own country's President since you need to run to another people's country for your education.

He is the President of the USA. It's America first for him, and he owes you no allegiance or duty.

Are the majority of Americans is support this government? 2020 will tell.

Democrats just shot themselves in the foot with this charade. The house will definitely be taken over by the Republicans from the next elections.

It's obvious on which side of the divide you're on.
There are also protests against impeachment.
House Democrats are the majority so impeachment is inevitable.
This is a highly partisan impeachment, not a single Republican is in support of the impeachment. In fact, a democrat is against the impeachment, and will vote against the impeachment as democrat before joining the republicans thereafter.

This is a waste of time as the senate will speedily acquit the President as the Republicans have the majority there, and the Senate democrats cannot muster the 2/3 majority to remove the President.

In the end, the democrats are the losers in this whole charade. The independent voters are leaning against impeachment. Latest pools by CNN yesterday indicates massive 10% decline in support of impeachment.

The articles of impeachment have no recognised crimes, just feelings.
Abuse of Power; and obstruction of Congress for a case that is in court.

It's a case of clock and calendar for the democrats, they just want to impeach.

The impeachment trial will now take place in the senate where a 2/3rd majority will be required to remove the president.

The president will definitely be impeached today, but the Democrats can never get the required number of senators to remove him.

I'm not a microbiologist or a doctor, but I know for sure that stress weakens the body defensive mechanism and this makes us more prone to illnesses.

You might have to visit the Doc and go for test to know for sure what you're treating.

Don't rely on Nairaland advice for health related issues.

Millions and millions budgeted to be squandered.

Malaria is a disease caused by a well known vector. Can't we try to keep the environment clean? Blocked drainage systems, wastes dumped everywhere, mosquitoes easily breeding, yet we borrow to treat malaria.

Can't the state and local governments work on the drainage systems in their localities? Can't the sanitation says be resumed and used to open up the drains?

Can't they fumigate the open spaces?

I pray you're not poor and your baby gets malaria, for it will be difficult to access treatment even with all these borrowed Millions.

I remember my first interview.. very competitive job, did all the tests, online, class. Then the interview. I so panicked that my mouth was even dry. Didn't even understand one of the questions and the interviewers were just hammering on it.

I knew that was the end of the road for me. I was not prepared for interview. I thought booksmart would cut it for me.

I later got a regret mail.

But I learnt my lessons. Prepare, prepare, prepare.

Got interview books, studied patterns of questioning ettc.

Then another major offer came along. Exams were easily taken care of, and the interview? I immediately called the guy's that I've gotten a job, 3 months after graduation.

Expectedly, the following week I was called to go for Medicals.

I thank God for everything but I still miss that first opportunity.

We all can't follow your warped sense of moral justification. BBN is a show, an entertainment program, just like watching football, seeing a movie, listening to music, riding in a boat, etc.. that you don't enjoy a kind of entertainment does not make you a judge over those that do.

Mind you, so many people get employed because of the show. People created the show, people built the platforms, people hustle for the sponsorship, a friend of mine got paid bigly for some of the paintings in the house.

Sit down in your room and be ranting while others make business out of it, or plainly have fun from it.

A friend of mine ordered Samsung Galaxy S9+ from Jumia. Guess what he got? A used Tecno phone with a broken screen.
Thankfully I was pay on delivery and he opened the pack just before the delivery guy left.

We had to stop him and collect his cash first before going to Jumia office to report it officially so they don't take it out on the delivery person.

This happened July ending in Asokoro, Abuja.

I personally don't have issues with my Jumia purchases, I have bought 4 phones, 2 professional blenders, 1 Professional Iron etc from there, but this has made me to be more careful...

...as even Jumia could have criminal retailers in their system.

Different strokes for different folks.

King of Boys is the only Nigerian movie that I saw in the Cinemas more than once. In fact, I saw that movie 3 times in the Cinemas, and the audience was spell bound for the whole 3 hours the movie played.

The wedding party 1 was good, no doubt but it was a comedy. King of Boys was on another level. The Wedding Party 2 was just there, forced to be interesting.

I can only imagine what that movie could have achieved if it was hyped the way The Wedding Party was. I can only imagine.

King of Boys has been the best Nigerian movie I've seen in ages, far better than The Wedding Party, Lionheart and the rest.
