JovialJune:The guns have always been there in the US. It's actually their second most important amendment to their constitution, the right to self defense. It's not ending soon. The so called democrats states with tight gun laws have the highest gun violence. Remove guns from the hands of the citizens, see how violent crimes will escalate as criminals will always have access to it. |
With this UK ban, get ready to be seeing less than 20 Covid 19 cases.. Soon, we'll all get sense and move on with our lives. Shebi we're already spending billions buying vaccines we don't need.. Africa, continue! |
Yet they're mandating vaccination. No real push to help communities that are ravaged by cholera, but Covid 19 is a cash cow, so we have to milk it like the rest of the world. |
The damage that has been done to this world, and especially Africa with this Covid 19 pandemic will take ages to restore. But then, trust elites to never let a crisis go to waste; they have been milking this pandemic with no end in sight. The whole thing is just theatre. Those that are vaccinated are still wearing masks, so we don't think of going back to our normal lives. Businesses have been crippled, jobs lost. Government is just cashing out. Over 400B for vaccines that nobody is taking. |

For how long can we continue to remain in shutdown? We can't afford this nonsense. The death rate is not even bad, let alone scary like it's being painted. 143 deaths in 85 days is nothing compared to the economic and social disasters the government is putting people through. What has the government achieved within these shutdown days? How many new hospitals have they built, what's the new capacity added to the existing hospitals, how many PPEs have been purchased? How many ventilators have they bought? Have many new doctors have been recruited? What's government plan really? To shut down people's livelihood forever and hope that the virus disappears? When this is all over, the shit that will wait for us to pack would be enormous. Viruses only operate within a few months, but economic and social disasters take years to rectify! Nigeria, and subsaharan Africa as a whole do not have the capacity to combat this, and we shouldn't allow ourselves into double jeopardy. |
Alwaysachick:Remember Funke was taken to court and there was a process to her conviction? Was she destroyed arbitrarily? Wike is a governor for crying out loud, and not a tout. This shows in essence that it's only in Lagos and Abuja that human rights are at least observed to a reasonable extent |
NaijadrivaCars:Look at this one.. run along to mummy. So you can continue festering fear and timidity to Nigerians, based on nothing but your inherent lack of capacity to understand figures and think for yourself. |
VeeVeeMyLuv:If they quote to you the number of deaths due to malaria in a day in Nigeria, you'll probably forever remain in isolation. Because 2 people died of corona virus in a day, we should all hide away? The new way of human thinking is really worrying. |
Adonispco:Just a little over 1 death per day.. meaning at this rate, we should be expecting like 300 deaths by December.. That's why we're destroying people's lives in the name of corona virus. |
NaijadrivaCars:Who asked you to "save" me? Does the governor has the constitutional rights to lock people down? No epidemic challenge should be used as an excuse to destroy the constitution. I know you don't have sense sha, I just responded in case someone else needs to read. |
majamajic:Are you from Nanka, Oko, Ufuma? |
The people are a reflection of their government. You can't have a government that truly don't care, a government that has systemically impoverished its people and you want a people that love. Nobody gives what they didn't receive. Government oppresses the people, the people oppress those under them, and the chain continues. |
Regular PMS was #87 before this administration came on board. Let's not be deceived. CNC abi CPC is just a phantom project. |
shomutuski:North Korea may have tested some nuclear weapons, but do not really have nuclear reactors. Sanctions upon sanctions are on against them anyway, so it's almost useless. Who would you really prefer a nuclear weapon to be in his control? Khameni's Iran or Kim's NK? If you can honestly answer this question, you'll definitely see the reason Iran will never be allowed to have a NW. |
DexterousOne:And who among the politicians doesn't have something in their closet? Clinton had to permanently delete 33,000 emails, you remember, right? And you think Senate republicans will stand by and watch their president and candidate being removed by cheap partisan impeachment. They will whine and cry, the way house republicans did when they were in the minority! |
DexterousOne:And what really has changed since he said that other countries now pay for US defence? He's been saying this since last year if you have following his campaigns. You obviously think you're smarter than him right? He caused a disruption with his style, and gets his ways and gets things done. No needless political correctness. You can continue wanking on that fact as long as you want but he will continue to appeal to his supporters who now know that at least the country gets something in return for sending their sons (and daughters) to defend other countries. |
Blindersoff:Spotting a dump person is easy Countries have different concerns, and they do trade off on different things and that includes military defence. Sending America's troupe to another country is serious business and it's paid for. It's never free. Payment could be in different forms. Trump obviously doesn't need SA's crude as America has become the largest producers of oil themselves. Needed cash, and cash he got. Even Democrats don't see this as point to disparage Trump. It's only low lifers like you who sit in front of TV very many miles away who talk rubbish. |
DexterousOne:The Military has always been a business when it involves defending another country. Don't be stupid trying to sound smart. Even the democrats who have been close to power will never say anything to the contrary against what the president said. You pay for the defence, period! |
chewwie:A lot of things will be said that could damage Trump's reputation in a full blown investigation. That's actually what democrats want. They can easily trade off Joe Biden for another candidate; I actually think Joe will not even make it. Senate Republicans know this politics and will definitely play it out knowing that Trump is their only candidate. |
tartar9:The deal was a disappointment, and in truth, a disaster. Who signs a deal that has 5-year bound, US sent $150B, $1.5B in cash to Iran. The deal practically financed terrorism in Iran, yet after 5 years they can continue Uranium enrichment. Obama had to sign the rubbish so he could have stability, rather than being bold and nipping the cancer in the bud. Trump had to do what he had to do. You can't treat a terrorist nation with kids gloves. All the European allies have understood this. China will not even be bothered as usual, Russia will milk Iran further before abandoning them too. Nobody wants a radical holding nuclear weapons! |
Gibberish The Republican Senators will throw the articles into the trash where they belong. You think they'll allow a highly partisan impeachment to go through? Dream on. |
Gestapo government. They must show aggression in resolving any issue. Ban it, Destroy it, Jail it, Demolish it, Shut it down, increase tariffs... |
TmNelkan:Pls do you have their email/phone number? Cc: VeniJu ; wanger50 |
seborrhic:You probably should start reading to understand, rather than insult. This should be your resolution for 2020. First, I mentioned that 7000MW may be insufficient for Nigeria as it is. Even the minister alluded that 7000MW will only guarantee average of 18hours light per day. I only pointed out that we don't have 180M homes that use electricity individually, but 180M individuals, among whom are children. Currently, Nigerians enjoy an average of 7 hrs per day, at about 3000mw of electricity. And this is the simple calculation that was done to arrive at 7000MW for 18 hours. Do we really have need for 1GW of electricity or you just want to bandy figures around? Who and who will offtake the excess MW that was produced? I don't have time for your petty insults, but try to work on your understanding. |
seborrhic:11,000MW of electricity may be too small for the size of Nigeria but we shouldn't forget the ~180M Nigerians do not stay alone, but in groups as families. We probably may not even have up to 20M individual homes. |

gr8keeng:The very reason I said you're truly stupid is what you confirmed. Assuming what you mentioned there is true, that US killed civilians while targeting local Taliban leader, do you now blame the Taliban for the deaths? Iran shot down a plane that was approved by Iranian aviation authority for takeoff, inside Iranian space, carrying mostly people of Iranian origin, and you're blaming US for it? Tomorrow you'll ultimately blame God for creating Iran and US, for the tragedy. It's not everyone on Nairaland that reasons with anus, and have their opinion influenced by biased views of CNN reporters. Use your own thinking faculty for once! |
gr8keeng:You're actually very stupid. You left Iran that lacked intelligence and shot down commercial airliners from its own territory, and has majority people of Iranian origin, and blame US that took out a known terrorist who has been masquerading himself as an army General but committing series of terror activities. The very reason Trump swore Iran would never be allowed to have nuclear capacity, because they will eventually mistakenly send some to your father's house. |
Where is the estate? How do we access the mortgage? At what interest? I hope they don't mess this place up like they do most public estates. If this estate is close to the city by 20 minutes, then it's a nice investment. They should please do the finishing before commissioning. Pavements, drainage, landscaping, inner roads etc.. |
lilwetdick:We have 3 drivers at the office that earn 30K each monthly and they're all married with grown children. It may not be easy for them, but they've got cut their coats according to their sizes. Being in a relationship, and having marital companionship shouldn't be tied to financial status. You may find it intriguing to know that I have colleagues who earn more than 10times what these drivers earn who are more indebted. People manage their lives with whatever life throws at them. |
Not that #30K as minimum wage in Nigeria of today is meaningful but the most ridiculous thing is labour pushing for increase from 18K to 30K (~67% increment) and expecting all states to jump into the payment. Most states have suffered depletion of revenue in this dispensation because of apparent reasons so you don't expect governors to spend all of the states' resources paying salaries. It's not just a thing with labour. It's a Nigeria thing. We jump, rather than walk. You buy product of 1K and sell it 5K; school fees are increased from 25K to 100K, VAT is increased from 5% to 7.5%. Nothing ever gets increased with ease, say by 3% or 5%. Get rich quick syndrome killing us. We are mad in this country, and we need to start telling ourselves the truth. |
